Hey man love the bike, if it’s not too much to ask can you post links on the description for those parts from ebay? Particularly the turn signals, fender eliminator and hand guards with mirrors
there ya go just got the links added yea the hand guards i would definitely advise to get the 1 1/8 the 7/8 and 1 1/8 neither one fits perfect you will have to still grind down the clamps on the 1 1/8 but less grinding needed compared to the 7/8 and make sure to get the u clamp kit so you can get your brake and clutch levers where they need to be without the lines touching the clamp otherwise if you crash it will break them off lol definitely dont need the clutch line breaking

It doesn't fit you have to cut your header and the fmf to get it to fit supermofools has a decent vid showing process

Really funny i just looked up the exc 450 and now you have a new bike 😂how was the 450 exc? Still amazing? I think about buying one and stuff but i am really scared for maintenance and stuff
hell yea ive never had the 450 but the 530 is an awesome machine they are definitely more high maintainence bikes compared to the 690 i dont really know for sure but from what ive heard the 690s can go way longer between oil changes and valve adjustments and top end rebuilds thats the problem with the 450s and 530s no matter how well you take care of it they will always need valves adjusted pretty regularly and eventually a top end rebuild atleast in my experience with the 530 lol but im definitely excited to see what this 690 is all about im really happy so far

@@tactiiczz4764 hahaa yea u will see alot of negative people online about ktm I've put about 9k miles on my 530 after I did my bottom and top rebuild and its still running strong but as time goes on it has started to burn more oil so thats why I think it's time for a top end but you can play it safe and get a drz but it will never make the power of a ktm or sound as good or look as good haha
But here's a glimmer of hope
Ktms are insanely easy to work on I rebuilt mine with no experience it's a single overhead cam super simple especially just doing a top end rebuild
As long as you change your oil like you're supposed to then you really won't have to worry about the bottom end going out on you

Very nice 690 smc! I love the looks but I think it would look nicer with a black front fender. Other than that it's a super good looking Katoom 690!

I'm picking mine up at the end of February. Guess it had to get special ordered. Did yours come with the under belly skid plate or is that add on? the ones i saw here in Oklahoma didn't have any on them sitting on the showroom.
hell yea congrats yea i got lucky the dealer had one in stock just about every other dealer i called at the time were all sold out and wanted me to put a deposit to get one ordered in and unfortunately they dont come with a skid plate from factory but there are the little pegs underneath for one to fit into if you buy the power parts skid plate pretty dumb its not included but i didnt like the look of the ktm one so i got the afx its pretty awesome and super thick and durable and you never have to take it off it has all the cutouts to remove your oil screens, oil does drip into the skid plate ofcourse but wipes out pretty easy theres enough of a gap

*Honestly, If you compare both year models. 2020 and the 2021, there isn't really a difference. 2021 has an improved breaking system, that is pretty much it. But overall, 2 good bikes*
It’s because there is a US and an EU version of the 2021 690 the US version is almost like the 2020 version but the EU version got a new speedometer and new mirrors

@@psyfertech Got mine yesterday, and that's it! Very happy with the Duke 390 now. So light and nimble. But not for long range, I knew it before I putted about 600Km to take it home and arrived without buttocks... Maybe one day in the future I could live in europe or Canada or other region where then I could buy one real KTM supermoto. Best bro.

Best thing I can say is look up 2019 690 tail tidy or fender eliminator on ebay its the Chinese 25 dollar one
Hi. I use MOTUL 8100 ECO LITE 0w20 for my Subaru car, and I like it so far.
What specific Motul oil you say this German expert recommends for the KTM 690 R?
My KTM 690 Manual says this about engine oil:
-JASO T903 MA3
- SAE 10W/50
Recommended: MOTOREX Power Synt 4T
Found a 10W/50 Motul 4T engine motorbike oil but says
JASO MA2 UNDER N° M033MOT157 (MOTUL 5100 4T 10W-50):

I remember his channel now its pirateracing lots of very good info for the 690 he knows his stuff he says the heavier weight oil keeps the hydraulic cam chain tensioner working properly and prevents fuel from mixing with the oil as much preventing oil burning hope it helps
Seems like the ktms do better with heavy weight oils
Thats interesting my 2016 gmc Sierra also requires 0w20 I've always used Mobil 1 but motul makes the best

I have no idea if they have fixed it but I have 2500 miles on mine so far no failure yet
@@psyfertech I hit almost 20k on mine before it failed .... everyone I know who owns up to 2020 has had to replace theirs at completely random times. Just curious is all.

Do you have any complaints about how the bike preforms from the factory? looking to buy one in the next two weeks. Anything helps that you could think of.
im about to make a update video after all of the mods ive done, the bike in factory form is fun but very very restricted, id say when you get it the first mods you need to do is sas delete, get the rotweiler intake its the best filter my bike makes 78hp to the wheel with this intake, get the fuel dongle from rotweiler and the power commander 5 and an exhaust of your choice i custom mounted the fmf 4.1 but thats about all you need to do it makes the bike way more powerful it hits power wheelies in 2nd and 3rd now no problems

So the 2021 690 Enduro gets the all new tachometer, odometer, mph with current,gear readout on its new redesigned display, but the 2021supermoto doesn't and has the old 2020 readout? That's not fair.
its the us model that didnt get all the new stuff guess we arent as cool lol
On the german version is a new gage cluster installed the display lights up white and you can see in which gear you are
2007 690 SMC still love it.
Motorex makes a similar top self oil for enduro bikes. The are OEM oils for KTM.
Yepp I was using the motorex I think it would be just fine running their 10w60 but I just liked the recommendation from pirateracing111 TH-cam channel he says the motul 15w60 off road being heavier weight works a bit better for the 690
I started using the motorex 10w60 in my 530 where before I was using mobile1 10w40 which did just fine but it seems like they recommend the heavier stuff in these ktms so I've switched over

no oil burning issues on a 2014 690 with over 15k miles using rotella t40 oil.

i may do a video on it i kind of dont like the way i had to do it but its on there good, supermofools has a vid putting it on the 701 but the stock header is different im pretty sure on this 2021 it has a flared out end and i had to cut off about 2 inches of the header and the diameter was smaller than the fmf so i had to cut slits in it and use a 2inch u bolt exhaust clamp, im getting the tekmo header eventually and hoping it will fit on there a little better lol

ahh man that sucks yea my closest ktm dealer is about an hour away but yea i guess they are still kind of like ducati and aprilia dealers are few and far between but man the 690 is so worth it, i would so go for it if you are used to doing all the maintenance yourself on your bikes like changing the oil and basic stuff, these bikes are pretty reliable if you take care of them but just like all single cylinders and all motorcycles you will need to check the valve clearances and possibly ajust them as well as possibly do a top end rebuild way down the road i know ive heard of people doing 30k miles on these bikes without changing a top end and so far ive had no issues with mine

that's not a 2021 690.. the 2021 version got a different speedometer with a rpm gauge

i definitely miss it but i havent regretted trading for the 690 at all, i really loved the power the zx10 had but i cant afford to lose my license or get any tickets and i cam very very close to losing it and most likely would have lost my job and the only way to have fun with it is going fast and florida is super flat not many twisty roads lol

It's been determined in the comments the 21 euro model has the new cluster but us Americans didn't get it lol just got new colored plastics
