This is so crazy I literally only decided to watch the first version a day ago after months of having it in my recommend, then you release this the day after. Talk about perfect timing.
Glad to see you repping Roarockit! I had the founder of the company, Ted Hunter, as a my professor while studying furniture design in school, and students would use the vinyl vacuum seal bags and hand pumps to make some awesome crazy laminated wood pieces. You should totally use the bag again in future projects!
What if you make more skateboards out of broken skateboards and if they brake, you get them back and make skateboards out of broken skateboards that were made out of broken skateboards? 🤯🤯🤯
wouldn't be good, because the sturdiness and ridgidness of a skateboard made out of skateboards is very bad. That's why the first one broke. So making more skateboards out of it would just result in breaking again.
@@bystargazed Then you just keep making skateboards out of broken skateboards made from broken skateboards. It's a never ending cycle so, you never need to buy another skateboard.
wow, never thought 1.0 would last as long as it did, 2.0 I'm super impressed by! show that u only need a couple of good layers in there to make it last... now I want to go buy veneers to lasercut into cool patterns etc..
Seems Jackman tried to beat you building a skate board from pallets. Beat him building a pallet from skate boards... Be the best dam looking pallet in THE WORLD!
Bro, using polyester resin would most likely make the finished product come out better than the wood glue. Another thing you could do to recycle the used decks into new decks that are just as strong as a new deck, is applying 3 sheets of carbon fiber in between the veneers. One sheet of carbon horizontal, one sheet vertical, and one sheet diagonally would give it a massive strength increase with improved rigidity in all directions. I only wish I had the tools to make the veneers so I could make a couple decks like this with the carbon sheets in them. The best decks I have skated were hybrid decks with a composite layer between the wood in the deck.
You could try mixing it up with a piece of tough facbric in between the layers to make it stronger. That's what they use for delicate steam bent vineer shapes in scandinavian furniture such as the series seven chair to keep the back rest strong. It might make recycled skate decks tougher : - )
Holy $h!t, now that's a great video my brother! I loved the whole Rocky fill going into the cutting and sanding part! LMAO! Some of the best editing here in bro! Your not just making stuff out of broken skateboards, your making miniature blockbuster movies! Keep it up! Woby Design for LIFE!!!
It was heart breaking to rewatch your hard work being shattered, glad you put the remaining pieces to good use in its honor hahaha Great work, lived the vid man!!!
carbon fiber inner lams - sandwiched between broken skateboard lams...then hook it up as an electric skateboard. I would be all over that project!!! make it a longboard.
Ben, the fiber of "plywood of plywood" might be too small, so the stress act on the fibers can't spread out. the direction of the grain need to be carefully calculated. sucking the air out of the plywood in the curing process might help. just my 2c.
You really should mass produce these! This sounds like an excellent way to recycle old boards. After you make enough of them you could try making a recycled skateboard out of recycled skateboards.

That music makes these scenes so triumphant. I feel so happy seeing you happy and the project finished perfectly. Feels so gooood.
This is so crazy I literally only decided to watch the first version a day ago after months of having it in my recommend, then you release this the day after. Talk about perfect timing.
That Nipsey mural was dope though. Loved the L.A. vibes in this one.
That editing and music just makes it 12/10.

Love the “opening up the shop and sipping a coffee” shots. Especially when you realize he already opened up to set up the camera :-)

Skateboard inception... whoa
The HoOpz that’d be called “move on”.

Well, you beat me to it...

Love the project! "I didn't break my friend" haha! Nice. Love the dual skateboard videos!

this work is amazing. imagine the number of trees saved if there was a company who recycled broken decks.
Most underrated TH-camr
Never get so hyped for a handmade work 😂
Получилось очень круто!!! У Джекмана тоже видел!! Оба молодцы! Рад за вас!! Привет из России

This is a full process of recycling so your board is a best !!!
I'm so happy that I got the 50k board. Legit. It rides like a dream.
I like to use Canadian Bacon. But that's just me :)
Nice one!
A piece of art!
I'm not taking sides. I'm just here to chew popcorn and enjoy the battle. 🍿🤓👍
Woby all the way.
Brilliant. Great work. 👍👍👍
Love the build, but I'm east coast, so I'm team Jackman!
You are awesome brotha!
Nice job!
Thank you!
i have a wine cork that is exactly the same as the valve for the bag. You pump the air out in the same way so it doesn't spoil.
You really should mass produce these! This sounds like an excellent way to recycle old boards. After you make enough of them you could try making a recycled skateboard out of recycled skateboards.
Y’all both KILLED IT! Great job Ben! He does know that your dog is Woby,..... right 🤷🏻♂️🤔😂
Tons of fun.
Again... Great job Ben! This is so cool on so many levels
Both builds and vids were awesome! I love the aesthetic in yours. It's pretty clear who the winner of the battle was, though. It was
Amaaaaazing!!!!!!!
I wonder how arrow shafts would hold up if they were made out of old skateboards. sick video as always.
Beautiful
Next time you make one you should put in a fiberglass layer in between the layers to make it stronger.
Yoooo that fs 50-50 at the paddy's pub spot tho!!!
Oh yeah dope result, really love the vibe of your videos man!
It is attractive that you make and use it yourself.
I want to ride the skateboard.^^
That's a good image.
Have a nice day.
i'm very happy for you.. well done
Thank you!
Awesome build bud. Got a new subscriber and looking forward to more projects. RIP Nip.
Great video and beautiful board. We all win with these types of challenges. Thx for sharing. Aloha! ; )
Beautiful!
Is it crazy that I'm sad this is now coming to end. …. Ben you killed it with 2.0, but I'm also digging the pallet look to.
Ok, so... best video yet.
