Thx for this. Just got e7 on rex and spent like 10 mins running around pillers and then took 1 shot and died. Hate this phase so much.

As far as I recall Mithrix doesn't take heresy items so if you have them mixed between the 37 limit do they still count for the limit or are they skipped entirely? What I'm asking is if having the heresy items results in Mithrix using more of your items or is it the same as not having heresy items.
Also I guess there might be more questions/secrets now that the DLC is out lol.
i'm unsure if mithrix takes the heresy items or not, but i do know that expended items like a used dios or now broken watches will remain in your inventory, you'll only count the items that mithrix is able to take and not items such as broken watches or possibly heresy items, so basically just count over them
@@Cap_ Thanks! I do recall he definitely doesn't take the items if you have transformed, I just can't remember what happens if you don't have the full set.
@@crybabyhazel I completed a Railgunner run where I took the Utility Heresy item (I forget what it's called) and I can confirm Mithrix did not take it
@@gagekieffer772 I completed a run as the heretic a while ago and I can back this up.
Something interesting I noticed, and was able to repeat at least once, was that at the beginning of Phase 4 I was able to stand behind a pillar and prevent him from taking any items, rendering it pathetically easy to beat him. If others could also test this, that would be awesome
I've never heard of that one. Does it matter which pillar? And are you on console?

i used royal capacitator with a kjaro in-between phase 3 and 4, and after some of the item steal animation (i think, i was just shooting him cause i saw he was taking damage since he was at half health for some reason) was done he just died. my friend was playing loader and did the dash punch, but had no kjaro, so maybe royal capacitator and kjaro also works?
As long as Mithrix takes enough damage the instant he spawns in on phase 4, you'll skip it. It's pretty easy with kjaro's, and it doesn't matter what procs the hit as long as it hits him when he spawns
I’m hardstuck on mithrix with merc. He’ll always oneshot me in phase 4 and I have no way to deal enough damage so idk what to do
Weave in and out of his range and strafe him dont use m1 or m2 on him use utility or special
Do you know how the 37 item thing works in multiplayer? Does he use the last 37 items of every player, or only the last 10 or so with 4 players?
I would assume it still holds true but I haven't tested it in multiplayer. Try it out and let me know!
Can Mythrix really not use Wake of Vultures?
Or does nobody just carry Elite Aspects since they are so rare and bad?
This feels like something that should work and something someone assumed wouldn't work.
Makes me almost want to test this now.
Actually mithrix has a list of items that he is hard-coded to ignore during phase 4 (the blacklisted items). Mithrix is technically capable of using wake of vultures, but he's coded to not use it. There are several other items that aren't blacklisted but he still won't utilize (like energy drink and rose buckler, because those require him to sprint and he doesn't sprint).
Doesn't sprint, huh? So Little Disciple is a really good one then. Interesting....
What if you have a stack of 37 of the same item, does Mithrix only use this one item or is it 37 different items?

wouldn’t the getting items back slower when there is damage reduction just correspond to his health and it’s only slower because you are doing less damage to his health
Yes, but it demonstrates that damage reduction affects your items coming back and healing doesn't

Yes, nothing has changed other than the update to the frog.
I wish he was able to have all the items, his final phase usually feels quite underwhelming
