I just got off the NCL Bliss Haven and it’s was fantastic. All levels of service, food, staff, easy embarkation, priority for restaurants, shows, etc. I’m hooked.
I think the cost comparison between the ultra luxury ships like Regent and the Suites Class on Celebrity/NCL is a little overstated. Having cruised on both Regent and Celebrity, I found that if one compares the same size suite (sq ft), business class airfare, transfers, and excursions (all included in the Regent price), the cost is not that much different. I do agree that there are more activities on a larger ship. I also agree that the smaller ships provide a more intimate experience and the excursion groups are smaller. Thanks for the video discussion.
I looked at booking the retreat on a Xmas cruise for my family of 4. Believe it or not the Silver dawn was more reasonable when you factored in flights, drinks, excursions, etc so that is what I booked. I would like to try the retreat someday.
No argument there. Silversea’s Door to Door all day inclusive program is excellent as are their ships. Drop us a line about your Silversea experience would love to hear about it.
I’m long time fan of Celebrity Cruises. The Retreat experience is phenomenal and provides more value for your money. I love having an all inclusive vacation: premium beverage, streaming WiFi, gratuities, and on board credit. Add in the benefits of the Celebrity loyalty program and it’s a win for sure. Luminae is beyond exceptional. And if you need anything taken care of the Retreat Concierge will handle it. No standing in the line for Guest Services. Thanks for doing this video. 🚢😎
@@askarealtravelexpert My favorite ships are the Millennium class. I was also on the Century twice. I’ll be on the Summit next year and then the Beyond in 2024.
Just so confusing trying to figure out a good boat an not a old ship. Want this to be. A great experience for my wife. My first trip. Get sea sick to easy.
I personally like Celebrity Cruises they tend to be a touch more upscale and the new Edge class of ships are wonderful. Now sailing over Christmas you will find more families on board but less so with Celebrity. What destination did you have in mind?

Marvellous first time cruising or on Norwegian?
