"Is it worth it?" is always a question that can only be answered by the individual, since we all come with different preferences and financial situations. It's like asking if flying first class is worth it. Or is a $500 steak worth it. In my particular opinion, for us it is not worth it because on our budget we can afford to take many more cruises by paying for the cheapest cabin. But if I was much richer, then of course a suite would be great.
@@christianoliver3572 couldn’t agree more. Imagine if like for some miracle you could afford the most expensive suite the first time, and for the next trip you could only afford the cheapest. That would be so sad 😆
Totally worth being in a Suite. We were in a Sky Suite the first time we were on the Equinox for 10 nights and it loved every second. Luminae, the Retreat Lounge, and all the extra stuff makes for a FABULOUS cruise.
Don Tony and ilana really make my day! So informative and very reliable. Whenever I cruise in the future (2022 2023 here I come!) I know I'll be forearmed with the best information the best seats the best food and the best service! Well done folks! Happy trails to you all! ♡♡♡
I've watched every one of your videos over time, and just rewatched this one! I think this is your best video ever! :) Keep up the great work, and I will continue to be a fan. (I saved this video when I first watched it, and am looking forward to our Edge trip in 8 months).
I watched many videos before booking our first cruise last year. This was one of them. We ended up booking a Sky Suite just like this one on the Beyond in Aug 2023 around the eastern Med. We LOVED the suite and The Retreat. My wife wasn't keen on a cruise, but I've always wanted to do one. Since we came back from the cruise, it's all she's been talking about and wants to go back into The Retreat. Next year we're trying the MSC World Europa around the Med, in a Duplex Suite with whirlpool. Our first choice would've been an Edge Villa on the Celebrity Ascent, but the MSC Duplex Suite is very similar and at less than 1/3 the price, we have to give it a try 🙂
I really appreciate this peek at such a fancypants suite!! I'm so glad Don's first cruise back was so spectacular! And Tony, yes, your room was awesome. 👍
I am so happy for Donald! And so jealous! Delta problems aside I for one cannot wait! 2023 here I come! After my test run on Virgin Voyages of course. The marble gets me every time! ♡
My husband and I are in our first suite (vs mini-suite) on our February cruise. We are very excited! Be safe...live safe....stay healthy and we can all cruise happy!
I am vegetarian, drink tons of wines, cheeses, did Elemis spa and worked out in gym (38yrs old when I sailed) price was definitely worth it…. I did have like two yrs to save. If you have doubts do It!
How nice that Tony got to dine with Don at the 'suite only' restaurant. Beware that it may not be the same on other cruise lines. My wife and I were on NCL with another couple who were in a amazing aft corner suite in the 'Haven' which included access to many haven perks. They asked if we could have lunch with them and it was NO. They couldn't even give us a tour of the whole haven area. We were allowed to hang out in their room and had dinner on their huge (like 250 sq ft) balcony.
Thank you so much for this video! I am booked on the celebrity equinox in May, in a celebrity Suite - it actually has a separate bedroom. Thanks for the information about the dinning room. I am so excited!
I am glad that even though I don't splurge for suites (I do verandah concierge class), there is always plenty of private quiet space if you seek it out.
I was just going to ask if Don could have guest to the restaurant and he said he invited you. I will definitely book the Edge on my next cruise. Great video! At least Suitcase isn't rolled under the bed like he would be in a regular room. You guys brighten my day....crack me up!
Sweet Suite.....That experience is definitely a notch above the norm, Thanks for taking the time to review the stateroom and amenities. I am sure you had a tough time leaving.
Enjoyed video! Suites aren't my cup of tea. I was able to take my whole family(4 adults and 2 grandchildren) on a cruise (balconies) for less than the price of a suite. I am so thankful for being able to do this and I pray I can do it again. Cruises are the best for families
We are booked on the Celebrity Suite for July 2023 in the Med. The space is what we need because there's 3 of us. The perks made it well worth it as all passengers in the cabin are receiving them. Usually, perks are for the first 2 passengers only.
Wow! This is definitely a bucket list experience for me. Some day, one day! Thanks for filming these areas. Looks like such a peaceful and beautiful suite life.
I stayed in a sky suite on the 7/17 Eastern sailing right before yours…had an amazing time…absolutely loved the retreat experience…but I didn’t think you could take the robe..I guess next time…we are scheduled on the Edge in Greece September 2022.
Wow! So smooth and classy! I would love to do this type of accommodations for sure! Hubby recently retired and I hope to next year. Maybe then... Thanks for sharing!! Love you guys!!
It depends if you would rather two cruises for the price of one, how much time and money you have, how much time you spend in the cabin and how good the cabin is in comparison.
I think, if like me, you enjoy and can afford the Suites on cruises, you should get it. I enjoy being able to eat in a private dining room, away from the unwashed masses. Love the Butter services. And the private activities coordinator that comes to you ever morning at breakfast and asks what you want to do for the day, and by the time you get back to your Suite, all the tickets are laid on your bed ready to go. The Butler will bring snacks at any appointed time during the day or night. It’s just a better experience than the way I started out with. When I started 12+ years ago I would book a large balcony cabin. It might cost more, but if you can afford it, do it! Roger in Pierre South Dakota
Love this. Thanks for these videos. I have never given celebrity a thought. But the more I see the more would love to try them. Once I can cruise without my kids I would splurge on a suite.
With a drink package, priority, speciality dining, butler service, a really nice vip deck area, wifi, and of course the room 5 grand is pretty damn reasonable.
You didn't mention that suite guests can also dine at the Blu restaurant on space available basis. Also worth mentioning is the room service menu for suite guests with crab cakes, filet mignon, Chilean Sea Bass and more....
We were fortunate to have an owners suite on RC Liberty of the Seas many years ago. It was ginormous! I think 600+ sq feet. Traveling with my 3 kids, it was worth it for the space, though we could have made it work in other cabins. Im someone who loves sea days and loves hanging on the balcony reading. It was sheer bliss! Interestingly, I didnt realize we had "suite" benefits til the last day - oops! Next cruise I've booked two cabins, and had to pay a single supplement for one, so it's not the that much less than a suite (they were sold out). I hope to do a transatlantic at some point, or the R/T Hawaii, both with lots of sea days and will save up for a suite!
Luminae was the reason we only book Celebrity Suites. We booked another suite on a different cruise line and the result was nowhere close to matching Celebrity’s care for the Suite Life. Jao, the Retreat Concierge was on the Constellation as we went through the Sues Canal. Having a suite only concierge saved me leaving Israel when my credit card got hacked. I’ll never cruise on another cruise line and definitely not in anything but a suite. Book early as I am on a waiting list for a suite in 2023 out of Sydney.
Omg, that was my suite! I was on the first sailing a month ago, it also happened to be my 50th bday, first suite experience, loved it and all the pampering! Just catching up, got back from HAL Alaska cruise, love HAL but that suite life on celebrity kinda spoiled me!
Super vid Tony. Looking forward to the trans-Atlantic trip on MSC Meraviglia in April in the suite that Jenny booked for us. Has its own hot tub on the balcony!!! 🛳🛳🛳👖👖👖🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️
Hey Tony Lucky your cruise on the Edge was for last week. I’m scheduled to sail on the Edge today and so far it’s been a nightmare and I’m still outside waiting to get into the embarkation building. Got here at 12:30 and it’s now 2:58. Still waiting on line in the sun with no end in site. This line is crawling and people are passing out. This is insane.
Great video you guys. Tony , when you get home you should see a doctor. It’s sounds like you could have some congestive heart failure. Enjoy the rest of your trips and stay safe.
Assuming the powers-that-be don't lockdown everything again, this December will be my first time ever having a suite on a cruise ship (50th birthday present to myself).
One of my friends begged me to let her join me on a cruise. Knowing she was a total slob who slept in every morning, i said “sure- but only if you pay for a 2 room suite upgrade”. I let her have the walk-in closet which was so messy you couldn’t see the floor. I got ready in the Living Room every morning, then the butler brought me breakfast. Ah, the suite life!
Enjoyed your video. We're taking a 12 day British trip in May, and your video showing this room (across from the one we'll have) is incredible. Good personality to be sharing the ship. Small suggestion; when you showed the room in the beginning, you moved too much. But loved the video and subscribed! Thank you!
TYVM! My first question is: are any suites ever solo--fare-friendly (above 100% but hopefully not 200%)? I am not afraid of hard work, as long as someone else does it: why not a segment on the incremental cost to suite it up with examples? Blame/link Don and you get to mention Jenny as TA by using her examples? What would it have cost to upgrade to Don Class in your upcoming cruises? Who has the best suite values? If you were forced to do a suite cruise, which one would you take? Let us struggling proletariat vicariously live the rich YT lifestyle (tongue-in-cheek-emoji)
Very nice and great perks as well. I got upgraded to a mini suite on NCL on my last cruise but it was nothing like this. It was more like an extra large balcony cabin with extra large balcony. It was very nice but we didn’t get any extra perks. I don’t think I would spend the extra money for the sky suite even though it is sweet.
This video was so much fun!!! You sold me on the suite when I saw you can see the balcony/view from the bathroom. Since I travel alone, that is a major selling point. $5K is a bit much for me though. If I could get a deal on that cabin for $3-$3.5K then I'd go for it. Speaking of miserable (were we? 🤣), Royal Caribbean just cancelled my Thanksgiving 2021 cruise 😭😭😭😭😭😭.
If I happen to hit the lottery, I may splurge for a suite. My tastes and expectations are fairly simple so I would rather do 3 cruises in a regular balcony rather than 1 week in a suite. It is nice though…
Was that an S1 S2 or s3? We were in an S1 on the Reflection before the upgrades. We had Michaels and it was awesome but The Retreat looks incredible!!!
Wife and I had a sky suite on the Edge. Best room we've had on a ship, service was good (our gal was amazing) but Luminae disappointed. Blu was what I expected and exceeded all expectations. Retreat pool area was tough to get seating near the pool and even at reduced capacity on the sailing was never not packed. We decided we'd do it again, but have a hard limit on what we think the value is.
I am so glad you and Don are pals. You both are my favorites! ~Elizabeth
So am I Anthony and Donald give the best of cruise news entertainment and information no doubt! Happy sailings gentlemen! Cheers!
I like that you sign your own comments.
And remember, Don splurged for Alicia's Suite too. Good to have the right friends
I'm so jealous of both of them! Hope you enjoy yourselves immensely!

Well said. It is all relative.

Opulence at its best. Thanks to both you Tony, and Don for this enlightening tour of “the suite life”

When you cruise suit you will never go back to inside room again. Cruise line knows this and that's why they do upgrades. Best of Healt from Poland
Think positive while on board, don't share a bad news to others. Just make you happy travel the world and share a GOOD things and GOOD NEWS.

Absolutely
Once we splurged on a suite, we never looked back. We just couldn't go back, even if it resulted in fewer cruises (quality over quantity)!

My sister takes a suite on Disney. But I’m lucky to afford inside cabin. It depends on what you can afford
Once in my life I will do a suite. Actually I looked it up on a shorter sailing and it was half that price maybe a short luxury sailing for us.
This is Awesome thanks for the vid
Sometime, we have to book a suite on Edge.
Are the specialty restaurants included in the suite class? or do we pay extra? i want to try out a few after many recommendations.
I expected Don to say have a vantastic day
Question: Is all this "suite life" stuff accessible for handicapped guests?
Enjoyed that. It was strange since it was quiet in the Retreat (no descriptions).
Loven it! Could you maybe pan a bit slower in future plz? It helps with that vertigo feeling when watching these awesome vlogs.

Same same. I'd definitely wanna try a suite or a presitge line like Viking though.

Cool, thanks for the info.

Wonder what the square footage is? It looks so small for a suite. Not impressed but nice perks.
Hi, Don! Love ya!
