Can you use airel screensaver as your screensaver for the onn tv pro box? I have not been able to but on my previous onn tv boxes 2021 and 2023 I can. Any solution?

Anyway, I am going to save this url and add it to the GOOD STUFF section so that when I get my new tv and have this as well, I will be able to set up those things you mentioned.
Another Plus to this is that there are no ads whatsoever on that home page and second, it's not roku so that means no ads on my hdmi port.
Let me add that your narration is great. You explain things so that they are easily understood. I am an IT guy, but I started when we had keypunch machines to create each line of code for the program. So this streaming stuff now that I have to avoid roku and their shenanigans is not something I'm used to doing. Thanks again.

I have 1 in my mancave, and another in my Living Room. I still have 2 other 4k max 2nd generation firesticks. I can honestly say now, that I will never purchase another Amazon product ever again. Everything we could no longer do on Amazon, we can do on the Android devices. I live in America so I have access to Walmart. I was fortunate to get the last one in stock the 1st day they were released here. I have told all my family & friends that this is the way to go.
Only problem that I can see is…it cannot be powered via the USB on your TV.

If you live in Europe go for the Strong Leap S3 or s3+ instead of the Nokia 8000. Better device and Google Tv instead of Android Tv.

Love the box. It does have a few issues with launcher manager as it stops the settings button and the shortcut ( star ) button from functioning with launcher manager activated .

How do you fix app screen orientation. Set orientation app doesn't work. Certain apps appear in portrait mode instead of landscape.

I thought that was for using small LCD display screens as monitors inside a PC to display temperatures and stuff , what use does it have on an Android TV box?
No, that app is used to list out all of the hardware / software / codecs and a lot more !

TH-cam and Netflix are considered system apps on the Onn 4K Pro and are always running in the background. Does your app force stop those also?

Tech Doctor, I've heard the Pause/Rew/FF features are strangely configured on the remote. Can you comment on that? Also, do you think there could be bad experiences with that on 3rd party apps or browser websites?
Just use the select button to pause and play and use left side to rewind and the right side to fast forward. Works great
Thx! I've read mixed reviews about how seamless that actually works. But my main question is whether because of how oddly that works - will there be a problem with 3rd party sources. And especially, how would this work on a video web browser!? You need dedicated remote buttons for those functions which the ONN does not have!? I'd really like TDUK's expertise on that question.
It's the same as every Android TV device remote made since the beginning. FF/RW is on the circle button. It's not new or odd at all. Fire TV uses it and even Roku uses it's R/L buttons to FF/RW. dedicated FF/REW buttons are usually unnecessary.
So countless people, likely millions, stream videos on Fire sticks using Browsers like the Silk Browser. When you're streaming a video in the Browser you can't use the circular pad to rewind or fast forward! That does nothing. You must hit the dedicated tab buttons lower down on the remote (which don't exist on the ONN remote!).
So again I ask, how is that experience on this peculiar ONN remote control!?

i just ordered this from walmart and after 5 yrs with the 4k firestick it's time to move on, especially since they disabled your apps. glad I won't have to use adb debugging to expand the storage on this device like I did with the firestick....also, it's worth mentioning that walmart is shipping these out with 2 different versions of the remote... one is backlit with a huge blue "free tv" button in the center and the other is not backlit and just has a home button....now I need to figure out what to do with my firestick...it isn't worth much these days since the 4k max and firestick lite are out...maybe I'll just trade it back to amazon for store credit.

HELP! looking for advice. My usb mouse isn't working on this device. worked fine on my firestick. then I tried 2 others, one usb and one wired, none work. I managed to get a bluetooth mouse on but even that didn't follow thru with commands. Is there something in the settings I need to do? never came across an issue like this before.

To make the picture or tv look super 4k.. My tduk app killer wont connect at times. I always have to restart the device then use it
Instead of restarting, just start the app killer and then click on exit. When you go back in to the app, you will be able to connect again. Let me know !

Yes, but you can get a refund from Amazon for the apps as their update broke them. Also, 1 license will cover all your devices, so even if you have 10 Android TV devices, you only need to pay 1.99 once.

I have both, the chromecast gtv 4k , the new onn 4k pro, and I also have the 2021 onn 4k. I have tested the chromecast side by side with the new onn 4k pro, and the onn4k pro does have a slight edge when opening and loading apps. They are both good devices and run all my streaming apps without issue. I don't game at all so I cannot comment about that ability

@@qutaibakhader5022 yes it is slightly quicker. Have you went into the developer options on your chromecast and changed your animation scalers ? This will make quite a difference in speed while navigating around the device. Set first animation scaler to 0 or .5. Set second animation to 0 or .5. The third animation scaler set to .5. I set mine to 0,0, and .5 Do not set 3rd animation scaler to 0, as it will not allow you to move the mouse cursor on downloader, or some other browsers. When I tested the chromecast 4k and the onn 4k pro I did so with the animation scalers changed as mentioned

He’s talking about movies purchased, he even says it in the video. Lots of ppl have their own movies they bought, they can watch when there is no Internet. All those movies on the Home Screen of the onn box and any other android TV box can be purchased and saved to a USB for off-line watching.

I just wanna if ONN plays sports appropriately? Sports on Firestick is awful. Lags and has low bit sound that tires my ears.

@michaeljackman280 interesting. I have two 4k pro firesticks, both same lag results. I increased service to faster speed from isp, but result weren't improved. I brought firestick to buddy's house, but same result. Also tried connecting direct with cable and closing background apps. Sports are horrible. Movies range from normal to acceptable.

You can pay me to use anything from ONN. Everything I ever bought from ONN at Walmart died within 90 days, Even their can air sucks! Air!! Can air, lmao, their usb chargers suck, their keyboard and mice suck, I gave up buying after the last 2 items were doa.
