It's my favorite game, the minotaur cost me a lot, but with effort I got to the castle, but what frustrated me was that if you lost your armor in the dragon boss area, you were worth it, because if armor roasts you a quick death, even so, I continue to play it with a smile and joy, it's very good
As a kid I could always make it to the final dragon but was never able to beat the bugger. Partly because they artificially inflated his difficulty by causing you to instant death if you lost your armor, effectively forcing you to battle him with half health.
The thing that's always annoyed me about this game is how you will unexpectedly take damage when using the ball and chain weapon. Attacking enemies (or thin air when the small enemies span) shouldn't hurt you!
I remember reading the synopsis for that in a strategy guide by an independent company advertising the game. The rationale was that if you swung the mace around too much and too rapidly, it would put a strain on your character, and cause damage because of the weapon's heft and weight. And yet, you could wield a sword that would cast lightning. By that logic, every time you swing the sword, the shock from the lightning should damage you as well. To this day, I think about that, and I'm still like, "WHAT THE FUCK?! WHY?!"
lol, that harpy was the original of "enemies who push you off small platforms to instant death" and this game had you restart from the beginning if you died once.
wow, did they update the last boss? way back when I played, the stupid tail went ALL the way across the screen and it was huge. you couldnt jump out of it, avoid it, or anything...you just died lol. Nice to see someone actually complete this game though, ty for the upload
holy shit wtf was that kamikaze tactic against the mirror image fight? you can just RUN INTO IT NONSTOP and it dies?? OH GOD HALF OF MY CHILDHOOD WASTED
Guh, I actually bought this game back in the day. It was TERRIBLE. Jerky control, awful hit detection, and fighting was about nothing but exploiting the fact that enemies moved slower while you were jumping. Any enemy that didn't blindly rush you were beaten by just standing next to them mashing attack.
I dont think there was a god mode, but one thing I dont remember is having my armor knocked off or swapping weapons. I just had to use what I grabbed and if I took too much damage I died. one life too, so eventually I could get to the end boss dragon within 10 minutes and get killed by him till I put the game to the side for the rest of my childhood lol
The red is ur current health bar while the blue is experience bar for you to level up. (Notice if the blue would reach its maximum, the red bar/health point increase
you can get to the boss in like 9-10 mins on a smooth run, it's the end boss that completely ruins every triumph you have lol. you cant survive the fight without the golden armor, that's just the first rule in that fight.
I'm looking for a NES game where its a ninja girl fighting all kinds of bosses. There a giant eagle boss and a giant frog boss and it was in chinese I think. I forgot the title goddamn it. If anyone know what I'm talking about please reply
TH-cam Recommend, you are weird. I never played this game, and look at it with the gaze of someone who had, at best played SNES - what is this, why is it so monotone and that hitbox and that movement and... Who enjoyed that?!
Worst game mechanic I've seen in an Nes title. You Kill them while they are hitting you with their spread projectiles. No dodging mechanics its just a yolo game.
Finally, after hours of searching I've finally found the title of this game. This used to be my favorite game in my childhood.
Me too
My too
100 percent agree dude love that games.but is too hard for to finish that..😂😂
Me too
One of my favs. To. But had nes till around 8 and could never get past maybe 60percent to hard but aqesome

Finally, I have found this game.
To be honest, this game was a nightmare for me when I was a kid. So freaking hard.
This is the first game I ever had for NES. I remember buying it at K-Mart sometime around 1989 or 1990. It was a frustrating game...
Awesome playthrough! Thanks!
This game has the craziest hitboxes.
man this game has really good music but geez the gameplay is unfairly hard in a bad way.
i agree
As a kid I could always make it to the final dragon but was never able to beat the bugger. Partly because they artificially inflated his difficulty by causing you to instant death if you lost your armor, effectively forcing you to battle him with half health.
I forgot all about that, couldnt fight him without the golden armor...that was a pain.
I never did beat this, it's cool to see the last levels and bosses
Same
The thing that's always annoyed me about this game is how you will unexpectedly take damage when using the ball and chain weapon. Attacking enemies (or thin air when the small enemies span) shouldn't hurt you!
I'm 34 years old and I'm still angry about that to this day.

Xexyz1337 you take damage because it was supposed to be strenuous to wield.
@@EXSkywarp very deep realism according to that time
@@hridayawesomeheart9477 You're not wrong, but just as an overall aspect, it was kind of aggravating.
An man this game is a bit different in my childhood memory, but seemed so freaking hard!
Every Gangsta till the harpy push you in the pillar
lol, that harpy was the original of "enemies who push you off small platforms to instant death" and this game had you restart from the beginning if you died once.
7 people worked on this. why am I not surprised hahaha.
you're lots of laughs seems like that's a bad thing, pretty impressive for the NES. How did your DJ career end up?
this is a remake (port) of a much more superior Arcade game: Dragon Unit. I mean, obviously NES can't match arcade so there's that..
@@p0rn0saur you want to go to duff city
Most games made back then had around 10 people working on it..
Thank you for this. I found gameplay for castle of dragon because of this!
i missed this game when I was a kid 😢
- Mom, can we buy Sword Master?
- We have Sword Master at home.
Sword Master at home...
omg this was my fav game of all time
Eu era viciado nesse jogo ,mas ,nunca consegui salvar a princesa ,pq as vidas eram limitadas, e não tinha opção de salvar as fases!😅
That dragon with the head of a chicken is my best stage,. 😭😭😭
This game has some strange machanics
I have never beaten the final boss, seeing the ending is cute
I never really understood as a kid why I always turn into a frog in the castle lol
Semejante joya, la juge de niño.👍👍👍👍
I know this game when i was young
oh god this game was so awfully dark!!!
wow, did they update the last boss? way back when I played, the stupid tail went ALL the way across the screen and it was huge. you couldnt jump out of it, avoid it, or anything...you just died lol. Nice to see someone actually complete this game though, ty for the upload
niceee gameplay
Monsters look like Hyeronym Bosch pictures. J'ai fini ce jou quand j'étais un enfant.
TBH,The game was really hard for my childhood.I could only pass first tow stage.
Gracias bro por la guia
Awesome Awesome game
To this day i still don't know what the blue meter represented. Could it have been the total frame ratio? Lol
Its experience actually but I've heard that it levels up so fucking slow its almost pointless.
I got as far as the first dragon and got my ass handed to me. Peaced out when I couldn't damage it
holy shit wtf was that kamikaze tactic against the mirror image fight? you can just RUN INTO IT NONSTOP and it dies??
OH GOD HALF OF MY CHILDHOOD WASTED
Thank you
Poor dragons 😢 ,I hate those people who made dragon slayeing games 😠
What's that blue bar near health bar for?
I know it's too weird to answer it but it's for Dragon Armor
When it fills, your health bar increases
I owned this game. I have no idea why.
O último Dragão era um pesadelo de tão difícil, o bicho é todo bugado
The bad guys in this game have a serious middle management, over staffing problem...
Еще нигде не видел что бы в этой игре правильно использовали оружие (Назовем это песчаная волна в лесу появляется после бабы яги)
13:04 el temible pollo diablo!
Mumm-ra?
This game should be remade
The 8 bit darksouls jajaja

dorpth - SwordMaster at least took it a step further and added some techniques that could be applied to different bosses.
Looks similar to Sword Master.
it's the NES version of dragon unit(japanese arcade), and the pre-cursor to sword master.
Wait the whole game is 17:00 long?
Também conhecido como Dragon Unit!
Seta was pretty good at NES graphics
I still remembered how i evade this game cuz im scared😂
There was a ceat code to directly get advanced random weapon, i forgot
03:00 Yo moría siempre en esa parte 🤫😂
I can't even beat the first level.
I actually beaten this game a year ago, It wasn't worth the 4 hrs ;-;
Going to buy this game today. I’ll never play it. Looks awful. But it’s £2.75 including postage and I don’t have it so...
What does blue bar represent?
Your health bar increases every time the blue bar gets filled
Similar games?
The player played in God Mode. Next to impossible, to finish this action thriller NES game.
Whats the difference between blue and orange?
The red is ur current health bar while the blue is experience bar for you to level up. (Notice if the blue would reach its maximum, the red bar/health point increase
short game to beat in 17 minutes.
Wait until you see how short the arcade version is.
you can get to the boss in like 9-10 mins on a smooth run, it's the end boss that completely ruins every triumph you have lol. you cant survive the fight without the golden armor, that's just the first rule in that fight.

if it's very similar to this one, it might be dragon unit(that was the arcade version of this game in Japan)
Kamen no ninja- akakage
Search it on TH-cam. Thank me later
What the heck is that?! 13:05
TH-cam Recommend, you are weird.

I beat this game once and only because I refused to let this crappy game beat ME.
Ive never played this game but it looks as if the controls were just terrible. Not to mention gameplay design. Just awful.
