Hi there. I have followed you along this entire journey and so enjoyed your educational and delightful videos. I am jumping off on 3/16/25 and wi seeing what was your start date? We hike a similar HYOH style and I’m reviewing and making notes. I actually have so many questions I would love to ask you. But first your start date?
March 15th, right around the same as you. They got a lot of snow in the Sierra around then. That's why I took so many zeros and nearos, so I could let the snow melt.
@@callofadventure6733 lol. Close enough. I am up to episode 49 where you just cleared Seaver Pass and still sick. I keep trying to cough for you to help clear your throat. Same thing I did when I originally watched those episodes
@jeffg3895 , no I am not, but many hikers are. I add meat to it when I can. When I can't get my instant Refried beans I often eat instant potatoes with tuna in oil.
@@callofadventure6733 Nice. I have like 25 pounds of jerky and Smoked salmon vacuumed sealed. I bought my own freeze dried meats off of Costco’s website and created my own meals like curry chicken, chili, shredded pork tacos, and fajitas etc.
I enjoy watching your video take care of those feet I'm surprised to start my hike 15 of May out there watching that video has me excited to get back out there I started 27 of April last year a campo and it was cold and snowing after Julian be safe my friend I hope to be around Kennedy Meadows June 15 ish if that snow gets out there I be there soon et

I already height all southern California, Northern California, Oregon. I'm going to start at the desert because I actually enjoyed it, but I hope to be up to the Sierra's bye June the 15th. Hoping the snow is gone this year. Love to see you remember me money stash
@chrisbrewer8623 Of course I remember you. Remember the mess of blisters and tissue on your heels? I have a bit of that happening now. Hopefully I can fix it up before it gets as bad as you had. Keep a positive attitude and make good decisions (I do OK with the first, I struggle with the latter).

Yes. I eat beans and rice every night if I can. I'm in camp right now. I'll show making dinner.

I had pictured S California being sand & cacti. It's pretty country.

I'm sure there will be plenty of snow in the sierras for all of us. San Jacinto looks sketchy so I'm gonna skip it this year.
