for anyone watching this in 2023: There is no reapers in the Floating Islands biome, BUT there is a mountain biome next to it where there is a whole bunch of reapers so if you just stay near the floating islands you wont see any reapers.
Just started playing Subnautica a this week, and I can say with confidence that your videos together with ChemicalApes have got me to where i am right now in the game. Great guide, on point, clear, simple explanations.

For anyone new to Subnautica in 2022 like myself, both prawn drill arms aren't outside of the wreck (first wreck in the video) anymore (at least on my world, I'm not sure if its different for others and their worlds) one is outside where he found the first, and the second is inside of the wreck. To get into the wreck, you have to go in the opposite side that he goes in. Make sure to bring your laser cutter because theres a few doors to get through to get the final drill arm. It also has both prawn suit grappling arms in there as well. Make sure you look everywhere because I almost missed one of the doors if I didn't look up. Hope this helped anyone with any confusion. Thank you again to the creator of the video. This is my second time going back to this wreck and I had no clue you could get inside of it lol.
Each playthrough randomises the spawn of fragments and databoxes between various set locations for each particular blueprint in the game. Some blueprints have only set locations, others can be spawned in multiple.
Thanks for the guide. It allowed me to get not only the drill arm, but also the Depth Module MK 1, Solar Power Module, and Heat Module for the Cyclops :)
@vk.0151did you use your laser cutter on the wreckage? There were a couple doors you could go through after cutting that have a PDA and some other fragments

I’m watching this in 2024 and just now starting survival. And a drill arm is a necessity if you want to advance in the game. At the first wreck I found two fragments right next to each other. Thank you Grandaddy Gamer for this amazing tutorial!

I checked the wreck on the floating island following a post from reddit and almost crapped my pants because I didn't know if there was "something else" besides Bonesharks and in the end only found one drill arm and like 6 grapple arms sadly. But thanks to your video checked the first location you showed, it was kinda close, not too deep and definitely not as scary, and found the other arm fragment I needed THANKS
I accidentally went into the lost river through the blood kelp zone(I think?) and swam through some large fossilized remains and found myself swimming with a ghost reaper that didn’t even attack me, I then continued on to a alien research base but couldn’t go any further cause I was in a seamoth with a depth mk3 module so I speeded back to the surface without ever being attacked by anything. Successful trip I’d say.

I really appreciate the amount of depth you put into these guides and it's the best i could find, and i've recommended it to almost 5 friends that play now! The big wreck over on one of the underwater floating islands in the floating island zone also has numerous prawn suit arm attachments. I personally got 1/2 of the drill arms there, along with both grapple arms, and both propulsion arms. The only downside in that area is that there are a lot of Bonesharks surrounding the wreck, so you may need to be careful about where you park you seamoth/vehicle
Hey, pro tip for any new players or people who didnt know this, but you can actually farm gel sacks in an exterior growbed underwater, just hit a gel sack and youll get the seeds, 3 seeds per sack
No guide I have seen so far about the floating isles wreck points out that in that final room there is a ladder on the ground with a locker blocking it that you can lift off with the propulsion cannon. Two databoxes down there.
Tip with wrecks: if you do want to get the fragments without going into a wreck, bring a habitat builder and some titanium with you. there is a glitch with base compartments that despawn the wreck entirely if you build any base compartment in the wreck. however, only do this if you dont like exploring wrecks, as it is a little cheesy

I had to make 2 prawn suits because i could not find the grappling arm and my first prawn suit got stuck in the shroom caves, but now after i watched your wideo i have 2 fully functional not-stuck prawns
Been trying to figure out where I could find these parts for awhile. You didn't even need to go as far as looking in so many places as the first one has many, but you went and did it anyway. This was much easier than being explained that pieces are at certain areas. The game has no map to help, so it's all memory

the wreck past the sea treaders path, it had a warper inside of it!! i cut through the door and boom. insta warped to a different place in the wreck. 😂
If you use a stasis rifle on them u can kill them with your knife easy enough. I got attacked by 4 of them at the last location and it worked every time

For the last wreck, in the last room before you go outside, there's a door on the floor covering a ladder. If you move it with the propulsion cannon, you can go down into a room with a shit ton of stuff.

I have been to all three wrecks and no drill arm, I've given up looking for the drill arm, Ive found charge fins grappling arm and torpedo arm but no drill arm, very informative vid
Actually in the last room from the floating islands wreckage you can use the propulsion weapon to move a piece of metal that is blocking a ladder that goes down to a whole other room with loot in it
THANK YOU SOOO MUCH. I have had such bad luck finding the grappling arm (have probably found 12 pieces of the drill arm and only 1 of the grappling arm) and have been searching for wreck 11 (the second one) for so long. I knew approximately where it was but couldn’t find it. Using your beacon as a guide I was able to easily (since I had my own beacon at the first wreck and could get a better sense of how far it was). I found sooo many pieces of the drill arm (more than 12; 10 at this wreck alone!!) but fortunately I found one grappling arm inside so I finally completed it. What a pain. But tysm!

i forgot where to go for the first one and got lost and accidentally found a ghost leviathan instead which scared me and after that i went straight home because i did not wanna die and lose my seamoth which i named billy
On 3rd full play thru what boggles the mind is just when you thinks you've seen it all you discovered something you missed on each visit. 6 days on first play thru everything was easy finds , 2nd play stuff was in different places and third again drill arms were the tough find . Locations change on each playthrough.

Just kill the bonesharks. Freeze + thermal blade = 0 danger.

i would just like to warn people that there is a ghost leviathan nearby. the warper is the least of your concerns
I went to 550 meters and found no reapers but like 5 warmers
The ghost is in like, the center of the grand reef i think though
Personally I’ve killed quite a few reapers and ghost leviathans but warpers I have died so many times to, for me the warper is my biggest concern 😂

i forgot where to go for the first one and got lost and accidentally found a ghost leviathan instead which scared me and after that i went straight home because i did not wanna die and lose my seamoth which i named billy

On 3rd full play thru what boggles the mind is just when you thinks you've seen it all you discovered something you missed on each visit.
6 days on first play thru everything was easy finds , 2nd play stuff was in different places and third again drill arms were the tough find . Locations change on each playthrough.
