    I would like to thank you Mr Zenzele Ndebele about your wonderful job that you are doing ..am a strongly follower of your work ... by birth am from Matobo kezi we know all of these things ..once tought in the schools mentioned in this interview DK not Shashane I used to interact with the parents around those areas this thing is so painful such crimes committed aganist humanity yet the perpetrators are walking free and no justice for the victims. .. as people of matebeleland we need healing from such atrocities committed to our parents. .sengathi ungangcina this information as a record so that it can be passed from generation to generations .. sibuhlungu ngabazali bethu abaya empini kodwa namuhlanje badubeka okokucina whilst their perpetrators is enjoying izithuthuku zamandlabo😢😢 my question is kuyaze kubenini sihlupheka singumthwakazi economically were are sidelined ekezi kugcwele amashona uye eMaphisa bayazibusa. Is that the freedom that our forefathers fought for .? Eqinisweni akula future for a Ndebele child look at the schools in matebelend so poor ..yet is the area where the so called "father Zimbabwe" is coming from . Personal ngizubuhlungu. .even the so called warverts they can not afford ukuhambisa abantwababo in better school even within the region . Look at school like Minda Matopo n Cyrene Shona kids agcwelele becouse thina asiarfford they took all of our worlth ...when will all this be over kumbe thina vele sadalelwa ukuhlupheka njengaMandebele 😢😢😢😢

    As a white Policeman I had Mr Nkomos house in Pelindaba under my Security watch. We were always respectful towards each other and was in fact friends with some of his Family and top men. We witnessed the rage between Zanu and Zapu during the Entumbane time and realised then that had Zipra (Or ZAPU) and Smiths Government joined forces we would have had a different Zimbabwe today. A pity Mr Nkoma chose to support Mugabe as it was only a question if time before old tribal hatreds would emerge and the shona would use their power to take down the Ndebele and any opposition. Mugabes election was won only on a numbers game, thats all, 80% Shona and 20% Ndebele. Doesnt take a genius to have seen that from the begining. A united Government under Nkomo, Muzorewa and Smith would and could have build a Fantastic country for us all. RIP Mr Nkomo, just a pity you couldnt see the Trees for the forest at the time. Zanla forces were absolutly no match at all against the well trained and loyal Rhodesian army (80% Blacks) and the Zipra forces.

    I’m Shona guys and l cannot pretend to feel how painful and traumatising to the victims and their families.However l want to say this is not a tribal issue my fellow Ndebele brothers and sisters ,this was a barbaric and satanic part of our country’s history.I can’t imagine any person doing this to another person who was made in the image of God.Im deeply pained listening to these horrific experiences and only believe that one day the perpetrators of these gruesome injustices will be brought before the courts of law.I personally love my Ndebele brothers and sisters and l look forward to a day when all these things can be discussed openly and the appropriate measures can be taken.lts my hope that one day there can be a meaningful process of healing and reconciliation so that we can properly integrate as Zimbabweans.Victims and their families should be supported and assisted to copy with these traumatic experiences.Its sad the perpetrators are themselves the people in charge and they won’t allow this inevitable process to commence.Im grieving with my Ndebele brothers and sisters in all this.

    Can we honestly say that our people gave their lives for the liberation of our country only for this to happen? If those people could see what has become of this country I think they would be very angry...God bless this man, his family & all those who suffered & continue to suffer to this day. Zimbabwe needs a proper reunification where all of us can appreciate our neighbours & live in peace with all.

    The perpetrators can not determine how the process should go about its a pity that the so could leaders and the amy generals are the master mind behind the killings they cursed their land simply because of hatred if there is anyone who thinks they is a way forward for that country without addressing this issue honestly and arresting the perpetrators and performing cleansing retuals that person must be deceiving him self innocent people will suffer and toil for centuries to come l can assure anyone on that.the problems of Zimbabwe are not only political but they are mainly spiritual.

    The Gukurahundi debacle can not be resolved unless it first manifestation is addressed...Mzilikazi came to Zimbabwe and killed circa 200,000 - 350,000 Shonas and some of them thrown into Chinhoyi caves pool,cattle was pillaged, women and children were abducted and force assimilated into the "Mthwakazi" kingdom...all Shona families are aware of these atrocities through history as it is passed by their families...actually the coming of the Pioneer Column brought a temporary reprieve of slaughter to Shonas who by then didn't have a unified Administration!I understand the Gukurahundi experience but if we need lasting peace in Zimbabwe all atrocities need to be addressed...it seems the Shona atrocities from (Mzilikazi and Lobengula) MaDzviti have healed over time but still waters run deep...its only through wisdom that these inter generational atrocities will be addressed otherwise this is bound to repeat again,MARK MY WORDS!

I am not by any means trying to tell you how to present it just a suggestion of eye catching headlines. How can there be reconciliation when these horrible things happened to some of us they will always be hatred.

    I am hoping that Mel Gibson will buy copyright of your videos, and the others who have witnesses' interviews, then make a movie from it. International awareness would be the first and best step to get real help for those wounded souls. Silencing the matter is a perpetuation of the assault and genocide.
    Movies like Sarafina helped the world mourn with black South Africans, and gave them the emotional support and help they needed. Mel Gibson's movie would capture every intricate detail of the pain and suffering just as he did with: The Passion of the Christ.

    My question is ,where are they now ,meaning the perpetrators. When listening to these stories being told do they regret their actions, are they sleeping at night. I know some have passed on, but those who are still alive do they ever reflect back.??

    It will be difficult to solve the issue of gukurahundi at the moment with the alleged perpetrators holding on to power.The truth is that there must be a way forward.If Mnangagwa had a heart he would himself take all his friends that were behind the atrocities and go meet the people at Bhalagwe in a big meeting to listen to what the people believe can be the solution to this.His ignorance will never work here.He has got the chance to fix this while he is in power.The people need closure.Kuyaze kube nini kanti?The people who are talking here are the few lucky survivors.Thousands died in the hands of gukurahundi.Bhalagwe was the largest concentration camp that saw Ndebele people being brought from as far as Tsholotsho and Lupane just to be tortured and eventually killed because someone had decided to make Zimbabwe a one party state.He did kill a lot but he couldn't finish us.We are those kids who were grabbed and thrown away from our parents in their journey to be killed and we will never forget.Zimbabweans in the name of fifth brigade came all the way from the east of the country just to kill our parents in the west.We will never forget.

Especially the fact that those responsible have never been brought to book and the victims, survivors, their children and affected communities have never received justice or any form of restitution or compensation... as if anything could ever compensate for this kind of evil nonsense. Something must be done. Something.

      There are Shonas who did not participate. But if hating them all is okay with you, proceed and assume you will have victory that way

      @mtho03 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sylvester T it’s not about hating them but them accepting what happened and come to the table of reconciliation as a nation. You might not have done it yourself but the roof of hating Ndebeles is still in some of you Shona people. Some don’t believe it happened even after 000’s of testimonies from people who lost their loved ones.

      mtho03 these are painful experiences for any normal human being.Im Shona and l can’t imagine how someone can do this to another human being.The bottom line is this genocide happened and l think it’s not a tribal thing.I know there is no easy way of correcting this because so many lives were lost but l believe if there was a platform where these issues could be discussed openly it will be a beginning for meaningful healing and reconciliation.lts unfortunate that the perpetrators are in authority and they cannot deal with the issue.l believe we all need each other as Zimbabweans to deal with this issue.Don’t forget not all Shonas were involved in this barbaric practice.

    Nkomo should have mobilized his comrades and started a civil war..
    He should have formed a coalition with Ian Smith and fight Mugabe

    I have come to realize that international law is selective depending on global political interests. The British government has proven to be complicit on the 5th Brigade Gukurahundi genocide in Matebeleland
