I’ll be honest, I did find your channel through the debate with def noodles….. BUT what matters to me isn’t how I get exposed to a channel, it’s how that channel maintains my interest and engages me as a fan/viewer. Ironically, this is the exact reason I’ve become a Papa Gut fan, and why I’ve stopped watching Denis’ videos. He’s lashing out instead of cultivating and it’s SUPER embarrassing.
These are my exact thoughts and my exact situation. And it’s true: exposure means nothing if the content isn’t interesting/isn’t good quality/doesn’t make you want to stay.
I used to watch def noodles until he dropped the character and started finding his content more unwatchable as he got more and more unhinged. It felt as if I went from watching a cute Minecraft cat guy bringing light humor to stupid drama and now he became someone who goes on furious rants that are filled with so much vitriol it would make me feel so uncomfortable, like I was watching someone who should've been ranting to a loved one or something. All my respect for him broke when I saw how condescending, arrogant and childish he was during your "debate" with him. (Rather him having a one way screaming match looking like a 5 year old having a temper tantrum.) I just don't know what and where and when it all went wrong because it started out so fucking good for Dennis and now he just self sabotaged his career you can't help but feel kinda sad ;u;

Some of my controversial opinions were: Mocking a persons appearance, even if they are an asshole, is bad; Not all vegans are assholes (I am not vegan but I don’t understand the hate they get when scientifically it is proven to be healthy for most people, can be very affordable in most regions and doesn’t hurt most animals); And I think I “defended” Keemstar when he was accused by Def Noodles Fans of being responsible for the suicide of a young streamer (something Ethan claims all the time) and I don’t like Keemstar but I hate that accusation. Claiming something like this when the family of the deceased has asked to stop spreading false information is so low. I might have said some other mild criticisms. I have been blocked by Def Noodles on Instagram only for occasionally going against the grain and disagreeing with his opinion. Some of my controversial opinions were:
Mocking a persons appearance, even if they are an asshole, is bad;
Not all vegans are assholes (I am not vegan but I don’t understand the hate they get when scientifically it is proven to be healthy for most people, can be very affordable in most regions and doesn’t hurt most animals);
And I think I “defended” Keemstar when he was accused by Def Noodles Fans of being responsible for the suicide of a young streamer (something Ethan claims all the time) and I don’t like Keemstar but I hate that accusation. Claiming something like this when the family of the deceased has asked to stop spreading false information is so low.
I might have said some other mild criticisms.
I am a private account with 100 followers and he blocked me that’s so surreal, lol.
And I was respectful too, never too harsh because I am a people pleaser.
