Thank you for sharing this recipe, so many makers are so secretive and don't want to help beginners. It looks lovely. I have everything to make it so I'm going to try tonight. Thank you x

Thanks so much for sharing, do you need to let it cure like you would cold process soap?

Great question, @patriciasawyer661! Unlike cold process soap, syndet shampoo bars don’t need a curing period since they’re not made with lye. However, it’s a good idea to let them sit for 24-48 hours after molding to firm up and ensure the bar is solid. This also helps any excess moisture evaporate, making the bar harder and longer-lasting. Let me know if you have more questions-happy to help! 😊✨

Can I put gliceryn instead of sodium lactate? Thank you

Great question, @annadani1832! Glycerin and sodium lactate serve different purposes in shampoo bars, so they’re not direct substitutes. Glycerin is a humectant that draws moisture into the hair but won’t help harden the bar like sodium lactate does. If you use glycerin instead, the bar may turn out softer and less durable.
If you’re looking for an alternative to sodium lactate for hardening, you could try adding a small amount of a hard butter like cocoa butter or an ingredient like cetyl alcohol. Let me know if you have more questions-happy to help! 😊
