      Not quite. Didn't catch him near one but it was along a lane that heads into one.

      A pirating technique I've put a lot of practice into. I typically only share and teach these techniques to pirates in the org I'm affiliated with. But I will say, I don't use the delivery box/tigerclaw exploit.
      If you're looking for a fun org to join and get into piracy or some other shenanigans let me know. o7

    how do u know where the Reclaimer is going to go? And how do you position yourself before it arrives?

    • @Deffbonez
      @Deffbonez  ปีที่แล้ว

      I scanned the components of the Reclaimer so I knew my QD was faster. I tracked its quantum jump so I knew where it was going. With these points, coupled with some skill and practice, I was able to get ahead of it and have a snare deployed in time. o7

    These mechanics are so broken. What stops you from claiming your biggest ship and salvaging it for huge profit yourself? Nothing. In a world where money and things have no value, there is no piracy, no theft, no loss, no gain, no game. I have thought about it a lot and it just makes no sense whatsoever. Salvage should not even be in the game, it breaks everything. You shouldnt be able to salvage more from the ship than the cost of insurance claim. Which if implemented would cause that nobody would ever salvage. If reclaimer salvage costs 3 million, insurance should cost more. Which means nobody would ever fly that ship. I see no solution to that problem. This game makes no sense and I don't see the devs adressing that at all.

      Someone I frequently play with is currently looking into the value of salvage and he's found something rather interesting, whether it's intended or not who knows. Currently, if you take all the RMC and CM combined you can salvage off a ship it's roughly 20% of the in game ship value if you were to buy the ship new in game with credits.
      I personally love that salvage is in the game and look forward to the balancing and changes to come for it.
      However, with all this said.... I couldn't agree more that the current economy, if we can even call it that, is in a miserable state. Insurance, salvage, bounty missions, and the list goes on of things that desperately needs rebalancing. Money is cheap and the effects of it are painfully felt. But, I strongly believe this is all being done as a test. Hopefully they get the data they want/need SOON.

      @@Deffbonez I don't see the way they could make the salvage work in economy other than salvaging the ship being only a tiny fraction of its insurance cost, but that would render the whole activity unviable. Expecially when you own like a Carrack and Recalimer, you claim both Carrack and Reclaimer and suck the Carrack for resources, sell them, rince and repeat and you have a safe, infinite source of money. It makes no sense man. Last time I played the game i was in a group doing exactly that. I helped a bit, and as I was doing that thinking about the implications, I realized I don't wanna play that game anymore. Because it's just not fair, it's not fun, it's just a chore, but also feels like an exploit, but at the same time it's an intended feature. It really pissed me off. Nothing in CIG history of messy borderline fraudulent PR have ever discouraged me more from this whole project. They will have to come up with something really good to persuade me to ever get back into that game.
      The only way to rectify that is to somehow disallow insurance fraud but even then, you can just have somebody else salvage your big ship and split the profit. Think about it really deeply, there is no logical way out i'm afraid. I am a game designer for the last ten years, it's not just a guess. The only way to do it is completely get rid of the insurance, which they will never do because of their love for the whale money. Also nobody would play the game if they would just lose millions of UEC every time somebody rams them or an invisible asteroid gets to them.

      @@YellowKing1986 I hope they come up with a solution for the claim, insurance, and fraud. Time will tell. But I do actually enjoy the idea that losing a ship could be very costly whether that be from an insurance claim, insurance premium increases, or because I was uninsured. I certainly don't have the answers but I eagerly await what they come up with.

      @@Deffbonez Yeah I hope so too man, that they will actually adress it in reasonable manner. But I don't know... Never heard a word about it from CIG - although I don't play I keep an eye on the progress.
      This high risk high reward gameplay is usually breeding toxic playerbase, like in Rust and similar games. It attract bullies who get off on feeling that they stomped on some persons dreams and hopes, and then they teabag and trashtalk you in chat. I used to play games like this until I realized they are making me miserable.

    You never sold the cargo. You're just targeting industrial ships to make it look like you can fly. Weak

    • @Deffbonez
      @Deffbonez  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There was no cargo to take and it's not about comparing flight skills. It's about piracy.
      The profit made off this hit more than justified the piracy.
