How cool is it to have a bespoke fragrance that is designed to your specifications. A one of a kind indulgence.
for any curious US based customers. my Bespoke fragrance experience was around $1,400, which was a 3 hour appointment for two. it was slightly more because we added two of the 50ml travel sizes to go with each of our 100ml bottles, for an extra $100 per 50ml bottle. its around $700 for the 2 hour single 100ml experience (100 bucks extra if you wanna add the travel size bottle) around $1,200 for the 3 hour 2 person experience to create 2 100ml fragrances (again, extra if you want the 50ml) and they have a 6k, 6 month, multiple appointment option if you wanna create 10 100ml fragrances. the packaging is beautiful, you can have your initials engraved on the bottles, and they create a label for your fragrance that includes whatever you name it. with that said...the experience was very unique...but if I had it to do over again...I wouldn't. while you do get to "create" your own fragrance, its based off of choices they give you so you can't walk in and say I want this, this and this. they basically sit you down, pour you a drink, and let you start smelling what will eventually be your base. once you select the base, they give you more choices for the mid and top notes. I wanted a moss/oakmoss, amber, sandlewood, cedarwood, musk bass. with fig, lime blackcurrant, coconut, neroli and bergamot. but apparently certain "premium" blends aren't included in the Bespoke process 😢 so while you can essentially add notes of your choosing, everything you want might not be available for you to pick from. i would say if you're considering booking a Bespoke experience. email them first if you know what you want, to see if it can be accommodated. once you create your fragrance, it's cataloged, so you can have additional bottles filled for around $230. a fun, unique experience, but for me, I felt like the price didn't equate to my specific needs for what i wanted to create. we both felt our fragrances were lovely and wearable....just too similar to ones they already sell, which you could purchase for half the cost of the Bespoke experience. if you're gonna drop $700 on a fragrance, it should be everything you want in a scent and more.
Was curious, thanks for sharing. Good to know the cheapest bespoke service they offer doesn’t include every note. Even so, this seems like a remarkable opportunity.
She is an alchemist! A fragrance wizard!
This woman is a gem!
In every perfume laboratory I have been to in Poland or the Czech Republic, they use precision pipettes, create small test samples of a few milliliters and, based on comparing them in the presence of the customer, create a personalized fragrance for him. Here a lady is sitting at the table, pouring from a bottle into a "glass" as if she was making a cocktail. Great Britain is truly extraordinary.
Now this is amazing definitely something I'd love to have made.
I feel like a muggle watching Kirby shop in Diagon Alley.
I was lucky enough to have the experience of creating my own perfume at Floris with the wonderful perfumer at the beginning of the year. She was very knowledgeable and patient and I ended up with a special scent for me. Can't wait to get a second one. This video originally came out right before I had my appointment. Thanks Kirby for filming this!
Im very curious about this, what price point are we talking about? Over or under £1000?
@@raymondberg7385 I think I've heard or seen somewhere that the cost is about roughly 5k, so over your price point of 1000.
@@anonuser4806 I found the price on their website actually! Its £550 for a 100ml bottle, which is not really that bad, it includes a bottle, and it is a up to 2 hours process!
@@raymondberg7385I understand it is 550 GBP for the single consultation and bottle (what is shown in the video I think) but there is also a six month experience with numerous consultations and six bottles along the way, which is 5,000 GBP.
Florist legend. My mum used to go there...she had great taste.
This is beautiful... The ribbon attachment swept me off...
She is fantastic! Would love to create my own fragrance.
As a chemist, not quite the age of the lady here, I have never used ounces or drams in any lab situation. All chemists in the US use the metric system. I think only pharmacists use drams and drops (and maybe ccs).
I like this vid. Good insight. Kirby reveals the best of British in Fragrance.
Smellovision needed for this video.
One day, with technology innovation.
At the point when this is possible, fragrance stores like these are obsolete.
Amazing to watch this, thank you for sharing!
I saw this the first time you released it, Unless this is your second visit. I was interested in going for this service, but though i feel she is brilliant a perfumier i would be after a specific lime or lemon scent, and she gives me the impression she will be trying to give me her preferred version. They need some one else who listens and asks questions of the client, and she mixes their requirement
I doubt you’re the only one who would have a specific scent in mind. I feel like you would just have to be honest and tell them what you like or don’t like even if it feels like it’s taking too much of their time.
I would imagine she is bearing in mind your requirements while using her knowledge of how a fragrance will last on your skin. I would be going there to say I prefer woody, leather type scents but would expect her to tell me what other fragrances would really make it 'pop' without being overwhelming. That might require adding in some tones that I'm not quite sure about
Hey kirby In future are you able to mention the prices of the items you purchase in the videos it would be interesting to know
Even in £, being in the US
My initial thoughts were..
One doesn't want to confuse the pub with this bar.
She has to have the hands of a surgeon to make the mixture properly.
How cool would this be?
You should visit Floris again and do another round of scents.
Great vid! Like a day with the apothecary. You should've christened the fragrance 'Just Dandy' 😁
Instead he called it “Waterloo.” I’ve no idea why but I’m confident there’s a dweeby reason.
Intro is epic.
When is the Cuba series coming?
Great video Kirby.
Listening this video without watching it like listening to asmr about some wand purchasing at diagon alley
I got Pinky and the Brain vibes when she laughed at the idea of peanuts killing a person.
She deserves a better pen!
A nice fountain pen
Hello from Belgium...can you do something with earthsmell and nuts? Perhaps walnut?
Good video
How much would a bespoke fragrance cost?
I checked and from their website it appears to be £550 for 100ml, Refill costs are probably less as this price includes a bottle and a consultation.
How much does that bottle of bespoke perfume cost?
👍 👍
She seems really sweet!
This is the sort of thing that is cheaper bespoke in the third world at least over brand names.
KIRBY VERY NICE ARE YA GOING TO SELL COLONGE???
Down the hatch 🥃
£550 per +100ml bottle, expensive, no…just bespoke pricing!
So sorry to say this but I find her slightly rude 🥲
She's not rude. She's just not intimidated by "society" people. Good for her.
I personally feel she comes across as very professional, direct but respectful. I do find some people in Kirby’s videos come across a bit sycophantic and disingenuous at times, whereas she comes across as being authentic.
I would like to know if they talked before this appointment and if so how much influence and say did Kirby actually have in the process. A fragrances is something very intimate and personal. I can only speak for myself and smell is a way of seeing and tells a story, gives you a introduction to who it is that you are in the room with. I can honestly say that it would be impossible to satisfy me in such a short time. Furthermore I wouldn’t never just be that spontaneous to say yes. I need to let the scent linger, smell it outside, smell and discover the notes when it starts to fade away. There is a big difference to the dimension of a scent from how it smells at the beginning and how it smells a few hours later. What you liked at first could make you nauseous later. I am sorry to say but this process reminds me of a Ryan Air flight. Get on, get off bye bye, happy we survived the trip. The lady doesn’t have to kiss up to me or even be friendly, so please don’t misunderstand my displeasure. I simply don’t want people to think that creating a scent that you will truly enjoy is such an easy thing you can do between work and your lunch break.
I see what you mean but I don’t consider it rudeness. There’s a pretentiousness when she talks about cups not being “scientific,” but I consider that to be a bit of self-indulgence or egotism, not rudeness. That being said, no one’s personality meshes well with everyone else. The differences are the spice of life and she is a perfumer after all.
Weird, they doesn't ship to the USA
who told you they don't ship to the US 🤔 they have a US website, but you can have items shipped from their UK warehouse. you just have to contact customer service if you're in the US so they can create a link for you to use.
