tip for grocery shopping in the city- use a basket instead of a cart so then you know when its becoming too heavy to carry (also easier to maneuver around the usually small busy store)

I remember when I first moved to downtown Chicago and was wondering how to go about grocery shopping too! One thing I found helpful was to bring a large, empty backpack with me that had lots of space but I would only keep my keys and wallet in it on the way there, then use that to carry groceries home in. That way you can free up a hand or carry more grocery bags by fitting them in the bag as well as carrying them in both hands. Sounds like a little thing but made my life so much easier on long walks with lots of groceries or in the winter!
Yes air fryer is bomb I just don’t know if you want another appliance in your tiny kitchen

I live in nyc and always use a backpack as one of my bags when I go grocery shopping because it’s easier to carry :)

just leave the cauliflower gnocchi on the pan for longer until it starts to brown! it works every time

Girl Trader Joe’s deliver in the city! I always used to get everything delivered and it’s like $7 so worth it for me lol , I moved out of NY now but it was fab! Because I also lived on the 5th floor with no elevator lol good luck and have fun!!!

My TJs cashiers told me that bake the cauliflower gnocchi in the oven! 400 degrees for like 40 min and they’re super crispy
if u have amazon prime i believe you can order whole foods groceries delivered to your apartment i saw it on kristee vetter's vlogs she also just moved to nyc

You should fry them!! Put them on a pan and some olive oil work really good!

Your NYC content omg 🤩 Also about the air fryer, if you cook a lot I highly recommend an instant pot and I know there are attachments you can buy to use it as an air fryer! It does so much but it's just one appliance so it won't crowd up your kitchen as much!

GET AN AIR FRYER its literally the best thing I use mine to cook chicken and a whole bunch of other things
For the gnocchi I put it in a microwave safe bowl and add a tiny pot of water and microwave for a minute and 30 seconds and shake around halfway through. Then I pan fry it a little on the stove to get the edges crispy and throw it in the oven and spray them a little w cooking spray at 425 for 17 mins. They come out so good.
i use my airfryer almost everyday! you can make the simplest stuff from potatoes to chicken wings without using oil, it definitely is a life changer!

i use my air fryer for almost every meal. it completely replaces the need for an oven and (in most cases) a microwave. it heats instantly and cooks things more thoroughly, so it’s way easier and faster

I recommend you getting a little foldable cart to carry your groceries back or even if you have to do laundry elsewhere. It was a lifesaver when I lived in NY. It makes it a little easier to carry things around when running errands.
