Front thing is a bug deflector - somewhat common in USA, don’t really work to my knowledge. Mostly on trucks driven by old people. Also used to keep rock chips off front part of the hood.

0:27 The 'spoiler' is actually a bug deflector. The purpose is to deflect the wind in such a way that bugs don't hit your windshield.

All the spoilers are very useful. Especially those for the windows. You can buy them as an aftermarket part on my side of the moon. If you're like me and hate the plastic smell. They are very good of stopping the rain from entering while the windows are not completely shut.

Been driving my T90 EV for 5000km now and im pleased with how it works. Cruise control is available as an option, at least in Sweden :) It's not supposed to take 80kW with DC as you say in the video. 70kW is maximum! I have a nice customized housing for dogs on my T90 and i drive around 300km per charge.

The #1 selling vehicle in Australia for many years has been this type of vehicle mainly in 4WD mode...usually the HiLux but every now and then the Ford Ranger gets involved (the only reason Ford still exists in Australia). There are many reasons why BEVs are not in Australia in any numbers but the lack of this type of vehicle especially for fleet sales (business commercial sales) is a big factor. Maybe put a couple of 200L drums of whatever in the back and the ride may improve. Can only imagine what will happen with the electrons being consumed when a few accessories are added especially a bull bar, proper side steps (sliders) and a decent rear tow hitch. Another good review...thanks.

The way power decrease is very similar to the motor power curve generally, plus the fact that top speed is at 126kph, I guess the gear ratio is a lot higher than other EV. Which probably mean motor is running at inefficient power band (Again, just guess)

    Thanks for your test.
It's a pity that the first "real" e-pickup in Europe seems to be such a bad vehicle....
No cruise control, no automatic climate control, only 1,000kg towing capacity and no all-wheel drive....
With all wheel drive and 2,000kg towing capacity this pickup would at least be a good hunting vehicle for the price.
If then automatic climate control, cruise control and a GPS are added, it will then also be suitable for everyday use.
    But probably then too expensive.
Looking forward for the 1.000km Challange.

Very interesting truck, thanks for reviewing I was looking for something along these lines but the market has very few offers
A note, the "infotainment" is somewhat similar to the one on the Dacia Spring, same for the gear selector and key "ignition". The Spring is also a budget SAIC product, might be a cost cutting measure.
About the high speed limitation, could be another thing - current limitation in the inverter. If the car is targeted for low speed high weight, you'd design the powertrain motor with a high BEMF, which would unfortunately penalise the high speed where the field weakening requirements would take precedence over the drive current. The fw precedence is a safety feature on all cars and a must have, but usually we design EV powertrains for a given expected duty cycle, and this is just how it turned out for this one, imagine like the motor is wound in a "low gear". It'd be nice to load up the truck and move it along, if designed right it should do way better than on otherwise high speed efficient car

Very basic vehicle, appropriate for a work truck. Low cost, able to transport a crew of 5 to a work site and back. No need for cruise control or long range if used in an urban setting. A rural work truck would need both range and cruise. For trucks like this, it would be great if Bjørn would test how it drives, and how much the rear suspension sags, with a full load. Maybe do consumption and range with a full load as well.

The greatest weaknesses are the lack of AWD, the short Range, the price and the low trailer weight. The other drawbacks are not so severe findings, because a pick up truck is für short and medium distances. I would not go long distances with this truck. But as second car it’s too expensive.
