Wow, I'm so happy to see so many videos from you recently, Joanna!! I've been watching your Personal Tech videos since I was 9 years old, and you're still my favourite tech TH-camr to this day!

$230 would be too much, even if the video/pic quality was 'good' and you weren't tied to the Snapchat app. This thing straight up isn't worth 50 bucks.
A personal drone that costs as much or more than other drones on the market and is locked into an app that reports your location, activity, and everyone around you to back to the company and likely to their chinese stockholder Tencent.

Cool aftermarket product, but extremely incomplete. What feels like a “need” to buy extra batteries is where this turns me away.

Just safe $70 and then u have a way better drone
for someone recording their own music videos or social media content, this is actually pretty clutch. It’s made for the Snapchat app sure, but just export the video files. I can totally see myself using this. Much cheaper than hiring a videographer
I was thinking the same thing! But to shoot a music video with it u might need multiple batteries considering how she said it only last 3-4 mins on one charge 🔋

Better get your Part 107 license if you want to fly one of these drones. Sorry influencers, it's not a toy, it's a drone and regardless of size, if you post any pics using it to make money in any way you are required to get a license from the FAA. Look it up.

idc about the audio since there is no realistic way it could achieve good microphone recording with those blade motors spinning. But if they made a 4k version of this with a good lens and battery i would gladly shell out double and maybe triple the price tag. This is such a cool product. I love it. But it doesn't seem like snapchat is ever going to great high quality versions of these experiments. I own snap's glasses which i loved, but the same situation.. bad battery, clips are too short. I love that they made more versions for different shaped glass lens but its been like 5 years now and no real upgrades. Perhaps Snap is not the champ to take on this type of product given their poor support and innovation in their other gadgets. They are going way too minimum for an MVP in the era of technology we are in. But i am so happy they tried and at least pushed this idea out. Can't wait for a indoor-friendly, at least 60min battery, 4k resolution, Ultra wide lens, support for lens filters version of this. at a sexy price $500-$1k

As a professional drone pilot, this has some potential but ultimately probably will flop. Could of course be wrong tho
Does it come back to you on the "Reveal" mode ?? Or do you have to go get it after it finishes the movement

Snap calling the resolution 2.7k is so dumb. I despise that marketing gimmick. Just say 1520p. Yeah greater than hd if HD is 1080p. But just feels like a way they try to fool the consumer into thinking it's better. Most phone external cameras shoot better than that...

Geez if you want to throw your money away, by all means do it. I'd rather take your money off your hands. You can actually buy a controllable drone with a radio and box goggles for around the same price. Plus you'll learn a skill.

I can see something very similar being deployed with Police. An extra eye to record from a third person angle that could also be sent to patrol a house, look in windows, yadda yadda.

320 canadian is a lot for something that can't detect obstacles. And 3minutes of flytime.
so basically it's garbage like the snap chat glasses lol. The price is a tad high. Should be like $150 tops. Would be nice if you can control it with a snap chat drone app.

So snap chat gets a library of personal movies of you that it owns. Hmmmmm! You have to download it from them. You don’t own your own movies....ever.

Is funny how I had this idea years ago, I used to go to the gym and hated taking pictures of myself to track my progress. The only difference is, mine is better but I don't have the money that company has😭
