Refused might be the most underrated band to have ever existed. Literally every rock band that got rich in the early 00’s bit their style.
Have you been living under a Dwayne Johnson? They have one of the highest selling Hardcore albums ever. They're praised by people ovwr loads of genres. TSOPTC Is held as one of the greatest albums ever made.

@@ThatBlindGuy247 they literally split up the band after the release of TSOPTC because nobody was buying it or coming to their shows. Now everybody wants to act like longtime fans when in reality they literally had like 5 people pulling up to their shows lmao.

Saw them in Brussels last night. It was great. Same core setlist but some more songs obviously (Rather be dead, Coup d'état, The Shape of Punk..., Turn the cross, I wanna watch the world burn,...)

The new album is so fucking phenomenal
Saw them live couple times back in 90's when they were relatively unknown, despised by others and most people simply didn't get them even with the Shape album out.. they were on fire on stage though every time. Now the world seemed to have caught up with them and they're much praised and loved everywhere and playing packed venues each time.. As long as they stay angry, sharp and hungry nothing could go wrong, right!

I love that Refused still play last-minute gigs in smaller venues. I saw them play a similar drop-in show in NYC in 2015. Granted, it was Webster Hall, but it was the small Studio venue, not the ballroom. Damn good show.
I saw Refused co-headline a gig with Thrice on Halloween just gone. It was a great show. Dude loves throwing his mic around and dancing. :D

It's so amazing how they're live as good as in studio post-production. Something not all Posthardcore-Bands archieve.
Also: nothing's better than their rage against capitalism and the state of things become music, blasting you away with a wall of sound and riffs.

I saw them at a small show like this. The Vero Beach women's center in 1998. Was a great show and they sound just as good today over 20 years later. Long live Refused!

My first encounter with Refused was the video for New Noise on Muchmusic. I think it was the Punk Show. It blew my fn mind. The next day I went to the record store where my friends worked and asked if they had anything by them. None of them had heard of Refused and they didn't have anything in stock. So I ordered an import of Shape of Punk. I still have not heard anything else like it... which is ironic considering the title but I was instant fan for life. And I think Samurai is the coolest fkn thing they could've done.
Top of the best bands I've ever seen in NYC the stagehand grabbed every garment he stripped off. 10/10
