It also has the same latitude as some parts of Canada which is pretty cold and im sure it snows there alot the reason it doesn't snow alot as you might think it should in the uk since its latitude is quite high is because in the gulf of Mexico there's a ocean current which carrys the warmer air to the uk this ocean current is called the jet stream thre are lots of these currents in the world the jet stream is just an example
