    Before the ‘lockdown’ I’m usually a once a week salon blow dry girl (mid length frizzyish Bob) which normally last me 5 days and the scraped back until the next appointment!
    so I’ve had to learn how to do it myself treated, I myself to the dyson dryer (lockdown madness) and lots of recommend products, still I’m disappointed with the results until that is I bough the BABYLISS brush after your review and it’s a game changer! I’ve walked out of salons with worse results than the one I’ve got from this appliance (returned dyson bought a cheaper hairdryer to take the bulk of the wetness out)
    I can’t recommend enough, takes a little getting use to but nothing major.
    Just looking for a product to calm the flyaway ends and I’m one happy lady, I know it’s a ‘high class problem’ in the grand scheme of what’s happening in the world but when my hair feels/looks good it makes me feel good and we all need a little self love right now, thanks Karen for keeping it real
    Healing thought prayers to your gorgeous Watson

    Thank you so much for your video. It helped me a lot. I just got the Revlon for my birthday and loved it. It is really hot and I burnt my hand as well. But learnt where to touch or not. Babyliss does get my hair tangled, and I don’t have the patience for it. So Revlon it is.
    Thank you again. 🥰

    Another great review, now I want to try that Babyliss one, I have the Revlon and Hot Tools version and that’s all I’ve ever used and I like them both. I let my hair dry till at least 80% dry then use the brush. Me too I purchased a slow cooker and only used it a couple of times, I like gadgets.💖

    Thank you so much for this in depth review. I’m from South Africa and we have limited products in the stores. But the Revlon and Babyliss are both available. Yay !! 😃 Now I must just choose 🤔 Again, thank you ❤️

    I have the Revlon one and its changed my hair game! I dont really use my actual hairdryer any more and I use the brush to not only brush my hair, but ofcourse to dry it and it only takes me a few minutes to completely dry my hair

    This is very helpful. I recently bought a Revlon hot brush (not a hair dryer) and it's ok, but not fabulous. I have a Babyliss blow dryer and I love it. It has a cool setting that I can leave on not just blast. I'm giving serious thought to the Babyliss brush dryer. Great editing on the burn Oouuuccchhh!

    So I bought the Revlon one in January. I have curly hair and simply can’t get a blow dry that is smooth enough with a dryer and brush. I loved it. Used it a couple of times a month only until bang 🔥😱 it over heated and almost caught fire. Stopped working and now I’m sad. Fortunately it’s under guarantee but I’ve bought the BaByliss to see what that’s like as don’t really want to end up with my hair on fire!

  • @IGibbyyy
    @IGibbyyy 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    I think The revlon brush is oval because it was targeted more towards curly hair when it had its big marketing rollout
    Since curly hair girls want a straighter blowout, the flatter sides help reduce the curling and bevelling a usual round brush would give at the ends, and curly girls tend to want less root volume bcs they can have a lot of volume naturally

    Hi Karen,
    I have the old version babyliss big hair, and hadn't used it in ages as I always leave my hair to dry naturally, but decided to dig it out over the weekend and was so happy I did as I was really happy with the results, I'd forgotten how much I like it and how bouncy it leaves my hair 😀 I went cruelty free too hun a couple of years ago. Thank you for the demo and review hun, really helpful and, really enjoyed hearing your thoughts, tfs and love your background too, purple is my favourite colour 😘😀 xxx

    Great review Karen . Like you, I’ve been using the Babyliss for years and I have the one with one head in two sizes, plus one with the interchangeable heads . My hair is much sparser following two lots of cancer treatment but I can at least look decent for work with the Big hair! I pray they don’t discontinue it 🤔

    I’ve had the babyliss big hair but didn’t like it at all. I didn’t like the bristles which I found quickly flattened. I now use the babyliss sheer volume 2769U which has a ceramic rotating heated barrel with rubber type bristles. It doesn’t blow dry so you you do need to have dry or 98 % dry hair before using. It does however give amazing volume and kills the frizz stone dead! I don’t use anything else now~ I can’t remember the last time I used my straighteners. X

      OMG, that's terrible Amy Barnes and so flipping dangerous, my older hairdryer used to overheat but it would cut out and I'd have to wait till it cooled down before it would startup again. You'll have had your babyliss for a while now and I'm interested to know which one you think is best? Thanks X

    Thank you for such an in depth review Karen. My current hot air brush is overheating so I do need a new one and I think I'll go for the Babyliss, mainly because Revlon is not cruelty free but also I'd constantly be burning my fingers on the Revlon one! Poor you, that looked painful :( Also my hair is shorter than yours and the barrel on the Revlon one looked enormous x

    • @rosaleenking9117
      @rosaleenking9117 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the revlon 1 has 2 brushes, a lge one and sm one which are interchangeable, however personally I prefer the babyliss because it rotates and doesn't get as hot, so would be less damaging to the hair X

      I have bought both the dupe and the revlon one. ( I bought one for my daughter after she tried it). I didn’t think there was any difference, in fact the Revlon one has a cheap looking cord compared to the dupe that has a proper professional cord on it. You won’t be disappointed with the dupe.
