my main question here is what exactly is keeping the Kurdish from declaring their own state? is the US not willing to recognize them? what would it take for them to do that.
Agree. Good opportunity for the Kurdish to declare Independence so Kurds can return from hostile countries like Turkey, Iran, Iraq and Syria to build their nation state. These big group of people have been suppressed by imperlialists Turkey for years.
The biggest thing holding it back is international recognition. It isn’t just the US they have to worry about. Turkey would never accept international recognition of an independent Kurdish state because they hold a large chunk of the hypothetical Kurdistan and they fear recognition of the Kurdish state in Syria would lead to independence movements within Turkey.
@@jonahtisamphd.6101 Calling Turkey imperialist is delusional... Millions of Kurds here have a Turkish identity and they usually do not care where they live. Many comments make it clear that these people have no idea what they are talking about. The current situation in Syria has little to nothing to do with the US or Israel but with the powers that have protected the Assad regime for decades and that is Russia, Turkey and Iran. An Alawite leadership that rules in a majority Sunni state but is infiltrated by Shia proxies, protected by three imperialist states can neither be stabilized nor pacified. Apparently, Ankara has decided to stop protecting Assad, which means that Russia and Iran will either throw themselves in front of Assad in a protective manner or play the game in favor of all three states. In the end, Assad would be history, IS and the jihadists would once again be defeated and the country could be divided up like a cake in favor of Turkey, Iran and Russia, without US interference. The fact that the Russians and Iran accused the Turks and the USA/Israel of being the cause of the current situation is actually indicative of the spectacle that all three are playing.

A few corrections, since you clearly don't understand Israel: 1) Israel didn't assassinate Assad because it fears a full-scale regional or even world war in retaliation. Israel would actually prefer the Sunnis over Assad in control of Syria, because it disrupts the "Land Bridge" which is a series of roads that supply Hezbollah from Iran through Iraq. The Land Bridge was disturbed during ISIS. This leads to the 2nd point: 2) Israeli airstrikes in Syria exclusively target Hezbollah. Mostly supplys, but also personal. Sometimes Iranians, Syrians and others get bombed in these airstrikes, but it's just because they also happened to be in these areas.
i have been monitoring the Syrian conflict closely for 11 yrs. ur assessment is accurate, but i have one correction. HTS is not connected with al-Qaeda with any shape or form. On the contrary... HTS haa hunted them down. Yes, they have former members of al-Qaeda... but a long time ago, they left

I'm from Homs, Syria. Here's the current situation: In the north, around 2 million people claim they hold the keys to heaven and wish to impose their radical and terrorist ideology on the rest of the Syrian population, which numbers over 20 million. The majority of these are Sunni Muslims, along with various minorities. These extremists assert that the regime is the epitome of evil in the world, yet they themselves promote violence and the suppression of dissenting voices, much like any other jihadist group. Believe me, while the regime is incredibly oppressive and perhaps has the worst oligarchic ruling family, no one in Syria, except those in the north, wants to see our country become another Afghanistan in the Middle East. Yes, the regime must be replaced, and those people have the right to demand political, economic, and military reforms like anyone else, but they are going about it the wrong way. They have become puppets of Turkish and other foreign forces, opening the doors of hell upon themselves and bearing the consequences
Chaotic : I don't know who is fighting with whom. Let me straighten out why I'm confused: 1. Syria, Russia and Türkiye allied against rebels supported by the United States 2. Iran and its proxies, the United States, are allied to help rebels fight the Russian-backed Syrian government of Bashar 3. Iran and its proxies and Türkiye allied against the Syrian government, Russia and rebels created by the United States 4. The United States, Russia and Türkiye are allies against ISIS 5. While Iran is helping Russia, they are both also fighting through Hezbollah proxies which is fighting with the Syrian government which is being helped by Russia 6. Even though they are fellow NATO, the Turkish army is fighting with the United States in Syria against Kurdish rebels who are supported by the United States while you know the Kurdish rebels are one of the supporters of the Turkish coup 7. Meanwhile, Iran and Türkiye are fighting against Syria, Russia and the United States through proxies 🤔
Dont mind the haters. They are Anti USA or Anti Israel Trolls. They believe that everybody who fights against Russia or its slaves is automatically a USA puppet. They dont understand the Syrian people are fighting for their own freedom and not for USA or anyone.
Bad news for Putin. Syria was supposed to become a Russian remote Naval Base, similar to USA bases elsewhere. This would allow Russia to exert some control over the eastern Mediterranian. Iran wanted this control also, since they were already in Lebanon. This war will go on for another hundred years.
You need to take a break from the propaganda channels.😂 Russia doesn't even have a full functional expeditionary navy. It could never have exerted control via a naval holding in Turkey. Russia is not this big badass nation you think they are, they are regional power who gets by on the global stage with bribes and manipulation.
HE'S is almost at Aleppo City, this video is false if it says it won't be intensified. More Syrian troops are being transferred north and an offensive is brewing.
i like how u skipped to say how the nato is funding the ex alquaeda groups in syria only because they don't like the government, like they did in Afghanistan with talebans
NATO never learns, they created and funded AQ which back fired. After invading Iraq in 2003 they helped AQ get a foothold in Iraq which then turned into ISIS. ISIS went ahead to attack NATO countries.
At this point, it is chilling that ISIS or another terrorist group will come back and take over Syria, Bashar al Assad is vulnerable, his closest allies are busy and in trouble.
I highly doubt Turkey is backing HTS in this conflict. HTS and SNA even had clashes before and HTS opposes Turkey's presence in Idlib (they shelled Turkish bases a few times in the past). Turkey also wouldn't want to create a situation where HTS is pushed back eventually and a new wave of immigration starts from Idlib to Turkey. Looking at how HTS is using FPV drones, I think involvement of Israel/US/Ukraine in HTS' backing is much more likely. There is also the question of "what is the goal"? The only goal I can think of would be the creation of a diversion of Iranian/Syrian forces. Make them focus on Aleppo while Turkey launches an operation on Manbij. Any other goal does not make sense. While the video makes a good summary of the Syrian civil war, it fails to capture the geopolitics of the situation.
Exactly. Turkey recognises HTS as a terrorist organisation since 2018 and Turkey tries to normalise its relations with Assad for 1,5 years. I think this offensive is HTS's own decision.
Yes that. And also the West stoked the conflict like crazy, trying to Gaddafi Assad because they can't keep their noses out of other people's business and sort their own problems out instead @@Dara-wk5ty

This videos is very informative, and non biased, I just want want to mention few points from Syrian observer POV The latest actions in Aleppo have emerged on the first day of the seize fire between Israel and Hezbollah, Netanyahu in his last speak two days ago have threatened openly the regime, which supports the claims that islamic radicals are backed by Israel to create a pressure on the resistance forces in the area and prevent further support from Syria to Hezbollah. Who gave the orders for HTS to launch such a wide scale attack? truky have been trying mend the relationships with Syria for the past two years and it's not in Thier interests to start a war, it contradicts with the whole point, Which also supports the theory that they have some kind of communication channel with Israel. Also Israel have never been passive in the past decade, they launched numerous airstrikes on many Syrian key points, military points, and civilian buildings.
Syrian civil war is one of the most interesting war. It's interesting that so many factions are involved there. It's not the typical two factions fighting each other war but where many factions fight each other like chaos

my main question here is what exactly is keeping the Kurdish from declaring their own state? is the US not willing to recognize them? what would it take for them to do that.

A few corrections, since you clearly don't understand Israel:
1) Israel didn't assassinate Assad because it fears a full-scale regional or even world war in retaliation. Israel would actually prefer the Sunnis over Assad in control of Syria, because it disrupts the "Land Bridge" which is a series of roads that supply Hezbollah from Iran through Iraq. The Land Bridge was disturbed during ISIS. This leads to the 2nd point:
2) Israeli airstrikes in Syria exclusively target Hezbollah. Mostly supplys, but also personal. Sometimes Iranians, Syrians and others get bombed in these airstrikes, but it's just because they also happened to be in these areas.

I doubt any potential successor of Assad wants to appear like ISIS, after what the US did to them.
While the video makes a good summary of the Syrian civil war, it fails to capture the geopolitics of the situation.

not really. we are occupying the south for our own safety. the treaty of adana has to be enforced after all.
What makes you think that?
Turkey is bordering Syria, While the us and russia are thousands of km away.
Turkey has every right to self defence. While the US and Russis has no right in being in Syria.
@@MoonLighterZ1
Self defense isn't launching invasions into the other country. For all of Turkeys talk about "Satanyahu", they sure love to act like him.
Supporting Islamist proxy groups (which runs counter to the Turkish national project) isn't self defense either.
They're not defending, they are extending beyond their own borders.
if you knew how much of a problem we had from the southern borders for so long you should thank us we didnt take whole syria, yet.
Why... why can't we live in peace...
satan , only second coming of jesus can bring peace
Cause it's not good for egos or cash.
Because there is no Peace, even after two world wars nobody learned the lesson
its a war between iran backed militas against israeli backed forces its no coincedance that it broke out after the ceasefire between hezbollah and isreal
Religion, Money, Power, Greed oh and Religion
Why is Turkey even allowed in the U.N. ..
🇹🇷 💪

Isaiah 17:1. "The burden against Damascus. 'Behold, Damascus will cease from being a city, and it will be a ruinous heap.'"
Jesus Christ son of pandera 😂😂 the curse of humanity
Watch Syriana Analysis for great and impartial analysis on Syria related matters
He is not impartial. But better than any euro for sure.
@@maquacr7014 fair enough and your comment made me reflect on why I used that term ‘impartial’ which is a good thing. It came from the overwhelming media support for the Western or to be more direct Colonial powers’ perspective. Eg Western media placing a heavy focus on Assad regime being a dictatorship and on women’s rights in Iran..while their governments literally partner with ISIS and Al-Qaeda in an effort that also funded by Hereditary dictatorship Wahabist Saudis (the beacon of moderate Islam 🙄) and dictatorship run UAE (who is in Guinness book of records for being the world’s tiniest bully 😂). In that context I saw Syriana Analysis as providing a much more accurate analysis that’s not sugar coated or made to be more palatable to western consumers.
@@MelianResurrection Syriana analysis is not complete pro-Assad and considers Assad a part of the problem. He is completely against extremists in opposition though. Any rational person should be.
