I'll never forget the first time I saw the '87 Air Trainers. Before there was an acknowledged sneaker culture, here in DC, we've always been big on sneakers. My older brother had everything in the 80's. He turned me onto what would become one of the most prominent cultures in the US and now worldwide.
Such an underrated shoe line! My favorite air trainer is the Air Trainer SC High ATL Olympics colorway! I was so hyped when I found a pair in my size for a great price! Great history video as always!

I feel they are rated where they need to be. I own multiple air trainer 3 including the auburn colorway. They have had Halloween releases and such. It's cool they aren't getting over hyped. But I say this as Travis was going to have a collab and the upcoming airtrainer teased on sneakernews recently. I personally run for em in good colorways. I like the Victor Cruz trainers too. Shit I like the Nike sb trainerendor as well. Jordan 312 is a too.
I own the ones at 2:57. Lol. I am a Gator fan and happened across the pair at a Ross ages ago. Still have em looking fresh. And I do wear the hell out of my shoes.
Medicine ball is the most famous of the Bo kicks. I'll never cop em. Not a fan of the colorway.
The Olympic trainers are 🔥 🔥 🔥 . I finally got a pair of broken bats and the Olympics are next hopefully. I love air trainers. Low key but with dope colorways/details

A couple of months into the Pandemic last year, I bought the SC Trainer Highs in the Knicks/Mets colorway. Rock them every time I go to Citi Field to see my Mets. Hoping to rock them one day to MSG to see my Knicks.

The Medicine Balls Spike Lee wore in Do The Right Thing are what got me into them, but I love Bo so that’s cool. Being that he was a prominent face for Nike and a solid foundation that basically paved the way for these air trainers, its such an interesting history I was yet to be aware of. I am in Awe

Excellent video! I have a pair of SC II ‘Megatron’ and they’re the most uncomfortable sneaker I’ve ever owned. The stitching along the edge of the inner sock digs into my left foot, so I can only wear them for short periods. My SC High ‘light zen/grey tart’ are soooo comfortable, I love them.

Bo Jackson's were my first signature shoe. The pair you have listed as the Nike Air SC Trainer 2s, with that neon tennis ball colour were the pair i had. You state that they came out in 1991, but i had them in i believe 1988. It's possible i had them in early 1989 but it's impossible that i had them any later than 1989 september. I recall because of the circumstances in my life at that time. I was a kid in grade school in canada.
Got the Air Max and Trainer 1 when they hit the market back in late 80s. Now in 2022 I'm lookin for the Air Trainer 1

One of my favorite skate shoes is the Polar Air trainer SB. Especially with a set of FP Gamechanger insoles.

The Air Trainer sc2 came out in late 1989, I was going to cop, but I got the fire red AJ4s. The Air Trainer Max 91s came out in 1991, which was followed by the Huarache Cross Trainers in 92...
I remember seeing a triple black air trainer 3 at the thrift store about 4 years back. Almost copped it but brhe sole was super worn and there were patches on the swoosh that made them look like hobo shoes. Definitely a beautiful silhouette and would love to see them in stores down here. Will probably cop em online!! Another excellent video!

i got a bred colour if the sc high...and the blue/white/orange air trainer 3....i gave them away...it was hurting my lil toe...its a dope shoe....and I NEED THE NIKE AIR TRAINER MAX 91....I MISSED TO BUY THEM WHEN THEY CAME OUT
I really wish they would retro the Air Trainer 3's again with those colorways! Especially the Auburn and Medicine Ball one, it would fit my university's gold and blue color! Those, and Huarache Trainers too!

The air trainer sc2 definitely was out before 1991. I had to choose between them, the Jordan 4s and the Air Tech Challenge 2 in either late 1989 or early 1990. Also, unless my memory is failing me, Volt was also an original colorway.
My longtime favorite is Air Trainer 1.
That mid cut hight is something special. That’s what mid cut is for me.
I also like air force max cb 1 (black white)
And also Air muscle max(blue black)
Those 3 are my favorite silhouette

I love the Air Trainers! One of the sneakers I used to have as a kid but right now I only have the Air Trainer SE/3 Draculas from 2020! I guess if you count the cross trainer lows as a model in the line I also have the black Supreme ones! Looking to add the Air Trainer 1s Chlorophyll from last year into my collection!

Just copped a pair from the discount outlet. Had to go half a size up because they're a lot more snug than I thought! Great shoe. The strap is such a great option. Tink somehow made velcro dope ahaha!

I have a pair of sneakers I bought like 10 years ago and on the box it says air trainer and has a card with the design sketches and says Air Trainer on the box... the thing that's bothered me for a long time though is that there's no strap and I've yet to find any out there like them.. unnntil now. Top right Air Cross Trainer Low (mine are in the white grey and volt green 👌🏽)
