Thank you for the great video. I have done a little bit of sewing over the years, but am very much a beginner. My great niece is almost 10 and is showing interest in learning to sew, so I am trying to teach her a few things. I will be ordering her many of the items on your list for her Christmas gift. I also plan to look at all your videos as times permits as you gave excellent information in this video!
I agree about the Frixion pen. I made a table runner for a friend at work and used the Frixion pen to mark quilting lines and ironed them away. I took the table runner to my job in Manhattan, on the subway and walking outside in cold weather, and when I got to the office the lines showed up on the table runner. Great video, I just ordered a few items. Thank you.
Thank you so much! I love those clips too. Question: Once I have brushed the lint around, isn't it still in there? Do I need to get it out? Is there a vacuum you recommend?
You shouldn't need a vacuum The brush tends to act like a piece of tape and pulls the lint out on its own. Then I pull the lint off the brush. The set I recommend comes with a nice long brush which I tend to reach for over the shorter bristles. Hope that helps!
I've tried Fusion pens several times. Haven't had one last more than a couple projects so not worth the price. Perhaps they've up the quality since last I tried one.
Agree. They are not great. My friend made a quilt for her grandson to take to hockey - the lines came back with the cold in the arena! Try Sewline air erase. Awesome
I had not heard of the sewline air erase, are they more of a marker or pen style? I may have to order one and give it a test. Thanks for the suggestion.
Interesting, I wonder if it is what we are trying to mark on or how large the project is. I have not had my pens run out yet and I have used them for over a year. I do find that I reach for chalk if I am marking soft fabric or thick fabric. But on thinner firmer projects I find the frixion pens to work well.
. They are a pen. And they are amazing!!! I have been using them for 2yrs. And have only had to buy 2. They last forever as long as you dont leave the cap off over night 🤦 They will say marks will last up to 48hrs. But my experience is more like 2-4 hrs. I have never had marks return.

Oh no!!! I’m glad you can press the marks away again. And I hope you got some good sales!!! Happy shopping 🛍️ 🥳
far northern ontario here. Often 40 below zero yet Never ever had an issue with frixion marks returning

@TamarasJoyDIY Thanks! It does! ❤
Marcelli rotary cutters are far superior than what you mentioned here. Start your beginners off right with a properly designed rotary cutter.
