I have figured out Easy on a pattern means less number of pieces. An easy pattern can still have challenging techniques. Beware. 🧐 Your dress is beautiful, a testament to your skills.💐💐💐
Such a Beautiful dress .I 'm glad you kept going and completed it. May I suggest making a muslin of the bodice to check your fit first on future garments. ?Happy sewing!
Thank you! I used to do muslins and I still do sometimes. The tissue fitting just saves me time, but depending on the fabric, a muslin is getting made. LOL!!!
Thank you for that helpful hint. I am not busty and shy away wraps. I also have narrow shoulders. I have been thinking of doing that. Definitely now I will.
Thank you so much for sharing about this pattern! I’ve had nothing but problems fitting a wrap dress! I got this pattern hoping it would be better! The dress looks beautiful on you! 😊 thank you for that tip too!😊
Thank you so much! Wraps seem like they should be easy, but sometimes they do pose a challenge. Go ahead and try it! That’s how we overcome these little challenges.
Beginners should buy McCall's learn to sew patterns. They will be taught the different techniques such as sewing darts, making buttonholes, inserting a zipper and other techniques.
So many times I look at patterns and think onto myself “easy according to what standard?” Lol love this intro!!! Lol
😂 I was really feeling the intro! Sometimes we just have to do our own pattern rating. LOL!!!
Hi beautiful dress. Thank you for the tip. 😊

It's adorable on you! Thanks for the review and tip. Also, as many times as I've seen this pattern, somehow I never caught that it's meant for wovens.
Thank you so much! Although it’s for wovens, I may try it with a stable knit. Thanks for watching!

I agree! Not all easy patterns are “beginner friendly”.
What would happen if I used a pointe knit or scuba?
In my opinion, it may work as long as you don’t stretch it while working with it. I’m going to try it with a stable knit myself.
