    Good info for sure, too much reversion can also prevent complete cylinder fill on intake stroke, there is exhaust still in cylinder fighting for space

    I have screaming eagle exhaust slip ons in my iron 883 with the baffles in. Can I install the inserts with the baffles ? I hope the 1" fits

      As long as you can see through the baffles to the other side you can install the TTI's.

    I am from the Netherlands and would like to order the thunder torque inserts. Do you have a dealer here somewhere who sells it?
    In addition, I have the Street glide with the cobra neighbor haters. Should I order 158 or 258? What (negative) influence does it have if I order the 158 for the cobra exhausts? What do you advise me to do?

    • @DKCustomProducts

      We do not, however, we do ship world-wide.
      The size TTI depends on the size baffle, or if you are running with the baffles removed. Here is a link to a chart that shows how you can measure your exhaust, and then choose the correct size TTI- www.dkcustomproducts.com/media/wysiwyg/exhaust/tti/TTI_flow_chart.jpg
      And here is a link to an entire report on choosing the right size TTI's- www.dkcustomproducts.com/choosing-the-right-size-thunder-torque-inserts.htm
      These will deepen the tone, and increase your low and mid range power by 5-10 %. They may take 1 or 2% off your high RPM, WOT throttle power.
      Since the majority of riding is in the low and mid range RPM, and very little riding is done at wide open throttle at high RPM, trading 1-2% is worth gaining 5-10%, for the vast majority of riding.

    I have a pro pipe 2into1 exhaust. I ordered the 258 tti but its too small. The muffler is 41/2in. The baffle is 3in so I cut it down and used it to insert the tti. Would I better off to remove the baffle and use a coupler nut to make the insert long enough? Idk if it would make a difference.

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  ปีที่แล้ว

      We have long thread TTI's now, so no need to use a coupler nut.
      Here is a link to a video on them... th-cam.com/video/naqPtEcDcU0/w-d-xo.html

    I’ve got sharkroad slip ons, with the stock cat in the exhaust. I’ve been thinking of dumping the cat and pulling the baffles from my slip ons, would these help with loss of mileage and improve power and sound?

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, taking the CAT out and pulling the baffles creates a free flowing exhaust and the TTI's will eliminate reversion so that you will get better MPG, better low to mid range torque and it will also help with reducing felt heat. Better sound is a hard one to say yes because every person likes different sounds, but you can listen to different sound clips on the description page of the thunder torques in the link below.
      You can see the TTI's at this link - www.dkcustomproducts.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=thunder+torque+inserts

    I have stock mufflers 2020 tri glide can hiw difficult is it to remove baffles?
    Which TTI do you recommend?

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  ปีที่แล้ว

      It is not difficult. You will need to get tips for them, once you remove the baffles. See how we did it in this video (no difference between your 2020 and the one in this video)- th-cam.com/video/_4wxFjqyTAU/w-d-xo.html
      258 TTI's are what to use in your gutted OEM.

    I have Rush slip ons with Big City Thunder baffles and powervision tuner. Will your insert work with the current set up or would I remove the baffles? In my opinion currently the bike is a little too loud. Will the insert change the volume or tone?

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can run TTI's in your BCTB's and it will deepen the tone and it will sound a bit quieter.
      BCTB's come in 4 configurations. If you have the one with the washer on the end of a stud, you replace that with the TTI for a gain in power and a deepening of the tone.

    What size do you recommend for short shots?

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you are running baffles, use the 118's, if you are running no baffles, use the 158's.

    hi. i have rinehart 3" slip ons on my sportster and as they have no baffles are extremely loud. will these reduced the sound a little and what size would you recommend. i would have to drill the slips ons to fit them. thank you

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It can produce bit deeper sound/rumble all the way through the RPM and Throttle range.
      If the inside diameter is 3" or larger you would need to get the 258 TTI seen at this link - www.dkcustomproducts.com/thunder-torque-inserts-258-model-family-dk-tti-258.htm

    Do you recommend baffles or no baffles ?

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends on how loud you want it. The most power is with no baffles and TTI's. However, that can be too loud for some folks. There is only a slight reduction in top power when using baffles and TTI's.
