I agree that she didn't know, however, when greeting clients you should always ask the following: " have you been helped?", "are you here to see someone specifically?", "did you have an appointment scheduled?" I like Liz but I feel had she communicated a bit better the drama may have been avoided. I will admit though that the other girls are also looking to find a reason not to like her because they do feel threatened.
You also aren’t in there all 12 hours getting inked. You actually get breaks and have the chance to get even small ones and there is numbing ointment. Just gotta tell your artist what you need is all

All artists need visual reference points, though. Out of the countless things you could be asked to tattoo for someone in a customized way, it's really rare that even a brilliant designer/artist would have an informed and clear mental picture pop right into view without checking certain details for realism (such as how many gills does a shark usually have, etc.)
I think that the other girls are intimidated by liz, for example like when the other girl said in a 10 hour day she can do 20 tattoos, like okay however liz's tattoo took 12 hours as she put effort into it making it look as detailed as possible
On the first day she didn't have any pre-scheduled clients so she took her time on a walk-in and gave a good quality tattoo I respect her for it honestly.

She probably only cares about about super huge outstanding tattoos that get a lot of attention, and she probably doesn’t care about smaller, individual tattoos. Every tattoo should be treated with every ounce on concentration the artist has, no matter how small or simplistic the tattoo is.

When I was in graphic design school my art was usually the most detailed and I usually took the longest because I appreciate art and wasn’t just working for a grade. Most artist that I know aren’t quick. lol When I used to clean houses I was also the best cleaner. The clients loved me but the girls I was paired with hated me because I took too long.

All artists need visual reference points, though. Out of the countless things you could be asked to tattoo for someone in a customized way, it's really rare that even a brilliant designer/artist would have an informed and clear mental picture pop right into view without checking certain details for realism (such as how many gills does a shark usually have, etc.)
