It has been 9 months since we moved in and now I am ready to tackle this installation. HELP!!! There is always supervisory voltage on the bell output. Generally the siren is not sensitive enough to sound from this. If it does though, you will need to add a resistor. I don't recall the value off hand but I'm thinking it's a 1k.

    How to remove partitions selection? Even I did hardware reset and system reset it always appear, it's hassle you need to choose from partitions 1 to 4

    • @AlarmSystemStore
      @AlarmSystemStore  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are several steps to partitioning a system, most of the programming step in the panel. There is one however in the keypad programming and that is why resetting the system didn't resolve it. From this particular keypad you need to go into keypad programming 000. Going off memory but I believe you hit 0 again to get to partition and slot which is where you change the partition that this pad is assigned to.

      The duress code is programmed in *5 menu just like a user code. Just make it a duress by enabling attribute 2 in the user code section. We have a video about user codes in our play list BTW. Not sure it specifically addresses duress codes but like I said a duress is a user code with option 2 enabled so it's pretty much done the same.

    What a horrible description on what zone type to use for motions. It should be a zone type 4 Interior follower. If you program as 5 and your walk across your living room to turn off your alarm by the front door the alarm trips because you walked in front of the motion that has been programed as an instant. The interior follower knows you've open an entry exit zone and will give you time to disarm BUT if you come through a living room window and walk in front of the motion it goes of instantly because you did not open an entry exit zone, and yes they will also shut off when armed as stay.

    • @AlarmSystemStore
      @AlarmSystemStore  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Might wanna brush up on your DSC zone definitions. From the manual:
      [05] Interior Stay/Away: Similar to ‘Interior’ except that panel will auto-bypass the zone if Armed in the Stay mode
      05 is in fact an interior. The only differnce is it allows you to automatically bypass in stay mode in case you want to arm at night and walk around without tripping the motions. 04 is generally only used in commercial where that is not needed.
