Sean's greatest talent was generating a completely nonsensical hilarious story, and telling it with a completely straight face. Not many others can come close to the way he did it

The word legend is used way too often these days. But when it's used in the same sentence to describe Sean Lock it's an understatement. I've never missed a person in the public eye as much as I have done with Sean. Keep the VTs coming. Never a sad day when I see a new Sean Lock video pop up in TH-cam. RIP legend.
HE WASN'T A FUCKING LEGEND! HE WAS A REAL PERSON! A LEGEND IS A MADE-UP STORY! WILL YOU ALL STOP MISUSING THAT WORD? MR LOCK EXISTED AND SADLY HE'S DEAD AND GET OVER IT!
So true and there were actually a couple of bits in this one (the first couple) I hadn’t seen before despite voraciously viewing anything that’s posted
I often come back to Sean Lock clips when I’ve had a bad day. Every single time, without fail, regardless of how many times I’ve seen it, it cheers me up. Probably the most naturally funny comedian that ever lived, sometimes he didn’t even have to tell an joke, just speaking and his words and delivery has me in stitches. We really did lose an icon.
There’s never been anyone quite like him - an absolute comedic genius. And always without ‘punching down’. Both a remarkable talent and a very fine human.
@@cosmicwonderer6269 I was previously an audience member for one of the episodes of 'Cats does Countdown' and the record lasted for about two hours with the final version being edited down for the one hour programme (including adverts). So yes, there will undoubtedly be a lot of unseen footage.
"Nobody over 65 should be allowed to vote on the EU referendum" damn, usually Sean Lock opens his mouth and laughter comes out of mine but he nailed that one hard.
I think it was Jimmy or one of the other major comedians who said, Sean was a comedians comedian. It's really hard to make a professional comedian laugh. They'll laugh along with a joke out of politeness, or give a little chuckle. But Sean was one of the few who could even make the hardened old comedians break down laughing. That's a sign of true comedic talent.
Every time Sean was asked a question by Jimmy I’d start laughing because you just knew he’d come up with something hilarious, easily one of the funniest blokes to ever live and we all miss having him here to make us laugh.
Agh man, I don’t think I’ve ever missed a celebrity passing as much as Sean! Just effortlessly funny every single time without fail. We all miss you dearly, Sean! I’m sure everyone up there is in stitches 🥕
If anyone else would tell the stories Sean is telling, none of them would even remotely be funny. But when Sean tells it, it becomes the funniest thing in the world. There really is something about him. Sad he is gone, but happy that we would always have his stories and wise cracks with us.
I've heard "rectum of the year" 3 times already and I still can't stop laughing. The God of comedians. He will be worshiped with our sacred tributes of laughter for eternity.
I still absolutely can't believe he's gone Sean deserved to grow old, he'd been practicing for the role all his life While across the pond just a week before we also lost Trevor Moore, a man who deserved to be known far and wide Terrible week for comedy, I wish they were both still with us.
The comedians comedian . One of the best comedians to think on the spot & always be hilarious. It’s so sad he passed away. So happy that all these clips are on the internet . He is so missed by so many
I don't know how many time I've watched highlight reels of Sean Lock, or how many more times I can watch them and cry with laughter. I'm not sure there's a limit. He was a comedic God!
In 20-30 years, when a telly channel does one of those comedy legends top 100 shows, he's gonna be somewhere in the top ten, probably right next to Morecambe & Wise.
That Rectum of the Year story is the best ever - Claudia's reaction is priceless. In stitches every single time i watch it. The world is a duller place without you, Sean, old bean x
I have cancer, depression back pain and now arthritis…Sean was 1 in a billion ❤️ I wish I could of swapped places with him and let him make millions laugh for a lot longer…he is sadly missed ❤
You want to give sean cancer, depression, back pain and arthritis? Only kidding friend ❤ I totally feel the same, it would be a gift to the world.i hope your doing well.
Lets keep this going via commenting and liking etc. Sean was a wonderful bloke - his humour should be preserved and spread far and wide. Loved him since "15 Storeys High", a brilliant sitcom co-written by and starring Sean. The finale here with poor Claudia, who is utterly helpless with laughter, is a total joy.
What a f ing legend funiest guy ever god rest hes soul i will still view hes videos for ever rectum of the year has me in stitches . I think Jimmy wipeing tears from hes eyes makes it better lol
Thank you for keeping up posting videos on Sean Lock. His work should be shown to newer people that missed noticing him when alive. :) Thanks from Portugal, Channel4
How Sean spins a bunch of non-sequiturs into the richest tapestry of wordplay and situational comedy one can ever imagine is a marvel to watch. It's like watching Beethoven at work. A TH-cam video with Sean's face as the thumbnail makes my day. What a man! He and Norm MacDonald are the two people whose very day-to-day life existence was the biggest tribute to the pantheon of comedy ever. My dreary pandemic days were made joyful by their very presence. Pandemic days were when I discovered them. I then learnt to revel in the glories of everyday mundane life, however despondent it might seem. Life's absurdities are best when narrated in a Sean Lock or a Norm MacDonald voice. Thank you Sean, for providing the voiceover for a drab existence that is a twenty-first-century world.
Thanks for the beautiful eulogy. I hope it'll be a comfort to his other fans as it was for me. Norm and Sean, two wirey, unhinged, unpredictable comedic giants from two different societies, both passing so close to each other, what a cruel sense of humor.
I'm a yank and had really given up on our tv ...pure shite !!! About 5 years back I caught an episode of WILTY and from that I watched every WILTY and anything that anyone who appeared on that show was involved in ...THANKS MATES !!! “Proper old people; I’m just practicing” was a great line at the time, but it hits hard now. Rest in Peace, Sean.
Still funny
He was just an extremely devoted method actor, so he's still just practicing.
"You should be careful" about sun tan.
Just the words, " Well I'm glad you asked me Jimmy", used to have me on the edge of my seat....😂
Claudia laughing hysterically at Sean's greatest achievements made it even funnier. One of the best bits ever.
"Please, stop speaking!" 🤣

Yup. Best Sean clip of all time.
Sean went in for the kill when he saw her reaction.
Sean's greatest talent was generating a completely nonsensical hilarious story, and telling it with a completely straight face. Not many others can come close to the way he did it

@@AaronHahnStudios This is for you Charlie.
My all-time favourite. English comedians are so much funnier than our Aussie comedians.
That last clip is hands down the funniest bit ever caught on TV, especially with Claudia just absolutely losing it
Makes me laugh every time and Claudia's reaction just makes it that much funnier.

The surprise birthday party for the horse made me laugh so hard I started crying. RIP Sean, you absolute legend.
No comedian dead or alive has ever brought me such joy. He had such a strange mix of surreal yet “blokey” jokes; to me, absolute perfection.
There’s never been anyone quite like him - an absolute comedic genius. And always without ‘punching down’. Both a remarkable talent and a very fine human.

07:18 and until the end: Claudia's breathless squeals and motion to the camera to "cut" is the cherry on top of this incredible delivery by Sean
