The Six is probably the premium engine of the future (until the electrics take over completely). Smaller and lighter than an Eight, almost as much power, almost as smooth - but WAY smoother than a Four. Note that the latest Ferrari hypercar - costing about as much as a mansion in a good part of town - has a wide-splayed hot-V turbo Six, rather than an Eight or Twelve. Even when the world goes to electric, premium cars might still have IC range extenders.
