This song reminds me of my grandpa who told me when I was young when I wanted to come home, he said you come home anytime. The relief I felt when I heard those words are words I'll never forget. I knew I always had a place to go as long as he was around. I connected with his words and his unwavering acceptance of me and it was a special feeling I had. He has a special place in my heart because of that and for his total acceptance of me just as I am.

This song hits me truly hard,, I went to see alan Jackson in concert in april in Milwaukee, wi, with my mom for mothers day right before I left for the air force. I GREW TO HIS MUSIC, the day my dad handed me the cd labeled good time. Any time I felt sad, alone or depressed, I listened to his music gave me hope and faith. In my training through the air force my dad was struggling with stage 4 cancer, I went home twice on emergency leave to see him the last time I went home he was in hospice. Now when I went home, I found the album angels and alcohol that my mom got me a the concert. I never got to listen to it until 7 months later! WOW. I HEARD THIS SONG, with my dads condition driving his car I put this song on I started balling. My dad was my idol hunting and fishing partner for life he passed on December 4, 2016 11:59 pm. A part of this song spoke to me that made me. I showed this song to my family and I wanted to play it at his funeral but it was too late.:( But I must say this song helped me cope a lot with my loss. Keep doing what your doing alan. The hardest battle you will ever have to fight is between who you are now and who you want to be! Love Dad those are the words my daddy wrote to me in basic training, and when I was I afraid id pull them out and think how much they mean to me. It got me through my struggles. Precious memories, mr. Jackson, my daddy died 2 christmas ago on dec 17, 2017. I asked them to play that song for him. He liked your voice also., Now every time I hear it i cry. This song reminds me of how greats is parents love...It was during my 11&12th standart and still in school...I used to hangout with my elders who r thugs...we did all sort of bad things....I used to ran away from home when i had an argument with my parents...But then mommy and daddy would always message me and tell, Though u may ran away from us U r still our child and we love u so much please come back home,we can't sleep without you,you can always come home.....
