- The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 series phones have to have Satellite Messaging like Apple has with their iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro Phones, and even the iPhone 15 series and iPhone 14 series. Samsung and Android are WAY behind in the satellite connectitvity and satellite messaging game, and the Samsung Galaxy S24, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra, have to have it!

Yeah T-Mobile is supposed to hook up with starlink
That’s what I thought
@@paulpaulpaul9000 guess we’ll see
yup elon said so in a tweet yesterday.
well in malta if u shout half of the population will come to see what happened hahahaha that's how syndicate we are
Imagine being charge for an emergency feature , phone companies are shit
I agree. As someone who travels a lot for work it would be nice to have satellite coms as redundancy, especially during an emergency.
Def would like Samsung to add that, but it's used once a lifetime maybe never, but magsafe is something I would use every day that Samsung is way behind on
People in Florida would prob use it every year and also people in NC are using it now for iphone
Id sticked to wired its faster
I'd also love some magsafe
Satcom will probably overtake cellular one day, Apple is pretty far ahead of Samsung rn.
@@devilkazumi578magsafe isn't just for charging, there are multiple use cases
I'm glad you are feeling better
Thank you
I absolutely dont care about sattelite connectivity at all. Now about qi2 charging, i would have agreed.
Set a light connectivity won't be totally ready to about 20 years. So no worries on that
My number 1 iphone feature i want is the "hearing" feature that allows you to see in real time the decibel level of media playback on headphones.
iOS has this tool built in and you can put it on your control center. I use it every single day.
This would be really useful. For Samsung, it's only limited to galaxy buds which is unfortunate
Yeah T-Mobile actually partnered with starlink so in those affected areas anyone with T-Mobile will be able to send messages regardless of your cell phone. So I think that's why Samsung is not too worried about it
I hope you feel better bro!! Thanks for the video. At the beginning that thing about satellite souned fancy stuff, but you right, almost everyone has traveled to a place with little or no signal at all. I hope that thing about satellite become mandatory feature on all new phones.
Thank you. I appreciate it. And yes. I think it’s an important feature for many people. You never know when you will need it and it even makes sure you’re connected in emergencies and if you want to go camping or exploring.
I agree. I live in Las Vegas and everytime that we go to mount Charleston or Lake Mead the signal is very limited plus when you are on the Highway there are a lot of areas without signal . You never know if the car got broken in the middle of nowhere
@@enospereyra206 for sure. Also I just drove out to Mt Charleston a month ago. So beautiful up there. You forget you’re in a hot, miserable desert.
It's totally cool satellite connectivity. Paying for it is totally uncool I will not pay for it. I don't go on those type of areas anyway. It's not my cup of tea.
@@enospereyra206I don't live in those regions. And your reason you probably need the satellite connectivity. Where I do not because I'm not going to pay for it
Nice to see you are better now. I also have migraines, it is really bad, specially when I leave the city and come back... in my case here is because of the Atmosphere pressure.
Sounds like a rough night. Hope you are feeling better.
I can’t remember if this came out right away with the 14, or a bit later. But Apple hasn’t even announced pricing or when that’ll actually start
Xperia 1 VI have the option to add satellite messaging
That would be an awesome feature. Our cellular network went down on this end of North Carolina. Even the 911 service went down to start with then It got redirected to the closest county that could take the calls then radio back to emergency services.
Glad you’re feeling better.
@@johnmac341 thank you
One of the reasons I'll upgrade. Even though the S24U had the hardware. But Samsung didn't move forward with it
Maybe you could hack it somehow. You got to make sure it has the band to connect to satellite
Apple actually extended the satellite feature for like another year on the 14 series.
Great video! Glad to see that you are feeling better!
@@saul.m184 thank you!
My yearly vacation along Lake Michigan has terrible reception. It would be nice to get text messages from the other family members who come with but are doing another activity so we can meet up at specific times. Sometimes I wont get the messages until I leave the area an miss out on something.
I think it's time to duct tape Garmin sos units to our phones now
Does the s24 line up actually have the capabilities to use satellite SOS feature? Im wondering in case they announced it for the s25 and they could just release a software update for previous phones.
No it does not. To my understanding the Samsung s25 Ultra won't have it either. I'm just going to get the Google pixle 9 XL.
Seems like the feature is available in New Zealand. Weird...
Was disappointing it didn't come to S24 series but at least we got 7 years of updates
Yeah. That is nice
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will introduce a proper antenna for satellite connectivity later this year. So, hopefully, the S25 can finally bring it, provided Samsung is partnered with a satellite provider to offer the service.
The iphone 16 has the same model as the S24 Ultra. So that isn't the issue.
Sounds totally awesome. I will not pay any extra for it though
@@TechOdyssey Samsungs setup is a bit different. The iPhone isn't running the X80 modem like the S25 Ultra is.
The X80 brings satellite communications into the mix using non-terrestrial networks (NTNs). Plus, six-carrier aggregation across its six-antenna setup.
It brings the tech Samsung was specifically looking for.
But at the same time is Samsung ready on the software side? I know they're supposed to be doing some type of software overhaul. What that entails im not sure yet as I haven't looked into it yet. 🤷♂️
Completely agree with you that the s25 should have the satellite connection feature. My only concern is with it coming out in January/February if it is not already in the design then it will probably not happen this year.
Have never owned an Apple phone and like you there are so many things that I don't like about Apple but the satellite feature is important enough to me I may have to reconsider. Thanks for relating your experience, as I don't think enough is said on this subject.
Apple iphone is amazing……dont listen to the haters. You wont regret it. The features apple has to help people is unmatched. Who cares for all those other useless features and customization.
@@tespinal8as long as I don't have to pay for it. if I have to pay for it then forget it. Maybe I can find a hack to get it for nothing if they start charging for it. I would probably never use it anyway I don't go camping in rough terrain I don't go camping out in the middle of the nowhere. They're probably would not be much use for it. Unless they can do it on a per call.
@@tespinal8I don't like apple because they try to track you all the time. Apple makes a very good device. They limit what you can do with it. I'm not a huge fan of Samsung any longer either. I'm probably going to go with the pixal 9 Pro.
Satellite connectivity is a big miss. Hope they can enable in S24 ultra as well using software.
What kind of VPN do you use in China?
Didn't samsung already say that this feature would come to the s25 series? I believe I saw it somewhere. Not entirely sure though
To my understanding the s25 will not have the satellite connectivity either. So maybe you should consider switching phone manufacturers. Maybe you can get the Google pixel 9 XL or the Google pixel 9 Pro.
They need to have the color grading
SOS is actually a meaningful feature that many people take for granted and Samsung not having that on their phones is criminal, I’m surprised that they didn’t “copy” Apple with this feature, I’m sure they will add it for the S25 Ultra. Ord just a shame that Apple will Apple and gives you a hook with this and then hide it behind a paywall after 2 years but this is expected of Apple and Samsung, etc will always follow suit.
Well Apple doesn’t have their own satellites, they’re piggy backing off of third party satellite companies, that’s an expensive cost that Apple is eating up at the moment. So actually I’m surprised they haven’t announced any pricing given how much they’ve spent.
To my understanding the Samsung s25 Series will not have the satellite connectivity. That's why I'm going to buy the pixel 9 XL
Huawei had satellite before Apple and Google has it too
P50 I believe.
Adam is there a way to put more than 5x6 apps on outside screen z fold 6?Home in good lock doesn't even give me the option for outside screen
I really hope they add MagSafe.
The light in the background is crooked and it’s all I can look at 😂
Close your eyes
You know what is meaningful is for apple to ditch 60 Hz screen!!! ... satellite my a... Absolutely no majority will make use of satellite connectivity. ALL people will love 120 Hz screen aka pro motion. Please stop hail apple for absolutely nothinng
What are you gonna complain about next year?
I use both. An iPhone 14 and and S24 U. I don't notice any difference.
Nobody cares about 60hz.
@@quokka7555 some do no many do
You’ll have something else to complain about next with Apple, but then you’ll praise Samsung and call it “innovation”.
What did we do before this feature? I think we can survive
SOS is ok something definitely you'd like to have when it's needed but 99.99 percent of the time it isn't needed. But magsafe, that's something we could use on a daily basis on Android 😂
If you say so. I don’t use it at all.
I agree with you that S25 Ultra NEEDS SAT COM. But to say, the S24 Ultra needs anymore APPLE Than it Already IS! I HATE ALL THE APPLE 💩 SAMSUNG KEEPS SHOVING DOWN MY THROAT, IM ABOUT TO GO ALL IN ON ASUS & RED MAGIC!! Glad you're doing better!
Thank you for talking about the satellite 🛰 service on the Samsung phones! I kept buying the S22U, S23U, and the S24U for the satellite service! If Samsung doesn't have it in the next phone, I'm done, Samsung! And I'm switching to 🍎! I feel like it's making fun of the consumer. I'm not A.I. influence, my life is more important 🤨
Thank you!
I think you're going to have to switch to 🍎 my friend. To my understanding the s25 series won't have it either
Side note that's why I'm going to get the pixle 9 XL. At least it has SOS. Eventually they'll probably expand it to text messaging
Really. Well here where i live when Verizon went down for 13 hours here I couldn’t use sos so how can that be cuz my whole family tried to use sos and we wouldn’t get it to work
On what phone?
@@TechOdyssey iPhone 15 pro maxx no one here where we live could get it to work. Our service was just shut off at 930 and no phone til 7 pm it said it was world wide but I couldn’t get to work had me facing north and move and turn and it never worked for that satellite stuff
@@Father-2-Sonsbecause where you live they probably don't expect any disasters. That's sketchy I would complain to Apple about that
The problem is connectivity. Wonder how many ‘iPhone Satellite” incidences there were from Helene. The FCC allowed connectivity to StarLink and not much else was working. Samsung having or not having this is not a deal breaker. This tech is not ready yet until the FCC allows broad access to StarLink for satellite coms. Not happening as the carriers would be shut out and I don’t see that politically happening yet.
YOu should probably find out before coming to any conclusions
20 years will be a thing of the norm
Thank you Sir.
Satellite is supposed to be in one UI 7.
That may also be because oneui 7 is launching with the S25
I would never ever use Satellite Messaging.
I would only use it if I didn't have to pay for it. What's your reasoning you don't want to be tracked?? If it's an emergency you'd want to be tracked
There no reason to spend $800+ on a smartphone if it doesn't have emergency satellite connectivity.
Theres no reason to spend $800+ on a phone with a 60 hz screen
60hz is a battery saver.
@@Robby3296 not really adaptive refresh rate can go below 60 hz
I never use 120 hz. It drains to much battery along with peak brightness.
@@Robby3296 thats your choice i use 120 and my phone lasts long enough with the adaptive refresh rate on....i keep a charger on me
I’m sticking with s24 ultra
Only in the USA.
I haven't seen any inovation in this phones! All have a camera ( more or less Mpx), normal or fold, now its old! So nnothing new! Phones bring nothing new! Same form factor! I won't buy any other phone, not until this one i have will die!
I am still using the Samsung S9+. I also have the Samsung S8+ believe it or not the S8+ is better than the S9+
Because what are they really changed in the 7 years not too much really. I probably won't buy another Samsung device though when I'm ready to upgrade
Samsung lost the game at list in my case with the video recording! Every phone has stutters and samaung ignored their costumers and did nothing! Update after update but no fix! I had this from S8 series and now i have S23 Ultra and same s...! I trusted them but for nothing! With Huawei or Iphone i had no problem with stutters! And they still don't have live transcribe in many europhean languages!
I am still using the Samsung S9 Plus. I can assure you my next device is probably not going to be another Samsung.
Nice video
0.00001% of phone users actually need a satellite connection. It is a gimmick feature.
Adam you do you sir we love your channel take care of yourself and we'll be here...I agree with you on satellite capabilities the AI stuff is neat but I think it's mostly gimmicky honestly. It's nice to have that piece of mind when your friends and family are in the situation that you want to know are they okay that they can reach out and let others know. I hope all are able to get on board. Take care of your self sir and we'll see YOU 🫵🏼 on the next one...
