@lindonmo4066 that's interesting! Since the laser sled that reads the data is lined up on a rail (gearshaft and alignment rail), it may be something with the tray or laser assembly itself since your playback depends on the orientation of the device. I haven't looked into seeing if there's a service menu or not to possibly tune the laser or focus, but I can look into it to see what other possible issues could be causing that.

How can i fix the blinking and sometimes turns on and off the blue lcd backlight as well the power button blue light?
My unit only plays MDs when lying on it's side (CD side down). Any idea how to adjust the READ head?
