Awesome, really enjoyed the video, I have a MZ-G750 which is similar to this unit with radio remote.

Thank you! The MZ-G750 (and remote) is a nice rare combo! Is yours still working fine?

Just picked one of these up on fb. Do you record all your music onto the minidisc through the player always? Or can you download music off the internet and burn it like a cd?

Hey @svisium ! This specific model would require "real-time" recording via the line in (optical or analog). If you want to burn mp3s or purchased/downloaded music using software (Web MiniDisc Pro), then you'll want a NetMD-capable model. See the list at the Wiki (www.minidisc.wiki/equipment/sorting/netmd-portable) - hop in their Discord for recommendations and answers to your questions!

@@TechnicalInitiativethank you for your response bro. Any difference in music quality from real time recording and using the net md interface?

Hi - sorry I didn't see this! For all practical purposes, there's not a real difference if you're using a high-quality source and an optical connection to record in real-time. Variables would be if you were using a standard line-in vs. optical. For NetMD, it can come down to the mode (SP/LP2/LP4 - not to mention Hi-MD modes), but most people seem to agree that SP is great and LP2 is "just as good" or "good enough". The big bonus of NetMD being the ability to title using your PC and rearrange things via drag and drop.

@@TechnicalInitiative When I record vinyl I use my MiniDisc deck but I still use a NetMD to name them on my computer, usually my MZ-N707.

@@ianz9916 Yes, NetMD is the best for labeling tracks! I do the same after some dubbing!
