Let's just remember that a rechargeable battery built into the controller is also "not for everyone". - at least Microsoft gives you the choice to do this, when the battery died on my dualshock 4 I had to sell the controller off.
I’d thought it might be a cool idea for the Xbox One to be all digital, if it meant it was either upgraded or reduced in size, but it seems it’s just an Xbox One with removed features.
And that’s great that you utilize it, I don’t own dvds and only use streaming services and I only buy digital games, except for my switch. It’s perfect for a person like me, and it’s right around my price range. I currently use a original Xbox one from 2014. So this is definitely a step up, disc drive or not I’m sold

A caution on the unlearned. The seagate hard drives are notorious for they’re ability to break for no reason. So I would get mine from bestbuy and pay a little extra for the insurance and when it goes you can just get another one... you still have to redownload everything.
I love XBox, but I'm so done with buying 2 separate headsets(1 for each console). I bought a set of Sennheisers that plug into the controller universally. They sound better than my A40 TR cans, and directionality is crisp with the better quality drivers. I hope that with next gen they might switch over from their proprietary chat bullshit.

I 've been using the Arctis 7's for a couple of months now. The metal band is kinda stiff so it intially felt tight, but after a couple weeks it starts to break in and it becomes are very comfortable headset.
i LOVE that xbox one controller still have a battery compartment it means in a pinch i can use AA batteries i'd love them a lot more if Microsoft gave us the rechargeable battery pack and wire with the controller so i don't have to buy it myself but choice is choice i guess. That battery charger is so fucking cool i want one but they don't have it for the xbox one x yet :( i love how they pop out!

The sea gate hard drive is very finicky and not covered in warranty. I lost most of my saves just by moving my hard drive from the bedroom to the living room

Y’all gotta realize that gaming is becoming more and more digital every year. Sony and Microsoft finally agreed to explore cloud gaming options between the two. Eventually we may not need to download anything. Just connect to a server and it streams and converts all data between different consoles automatically making crossplay seamless.
Its important to mention that just because you have a keyboard and mouse, not all xbox games support it yet, like BO4. So you don't gain the edge you thought.
