David Bulauski you can gain like 2hp from it but this dio reed valve set up will help improve the way these 2 strokes run because it doesn’t allow air to come in from the motor into the carb and mess up your fuel/air ratio
It added a noticeable amount of power and torque to my firestorm build. But as the previous comment it really improves on your motor running so much smoother and fuel efficient is increased
i have the same motor and carb and a nice shark fin head now on the dio reed valve what is that hose port looks like u have it taped off on the right side of dio reed valve
I use it for a pulse fuel pump. I use the mikuni square pump , now I don't run out of fuel. I have the same style of set up. Dio and a hi compression head.

I have since watch your videos as well as Ganster Builders. and built my own. 92 cc Stihl 066 54mm Frank. Thanks. Best Teardown ever.
I have the same set up though my carb is 16mm I see you have the 21mm. I was fast I upgraded to the reed valve and carb now I lost about 10mph. Any ideas. Oh I have window piston too! Thanks in advance for your help.
The 16mm may be restricting flow, most stock ones are 19mm also the Dio's aren't that great and prone to air leaks, a g2 reed valve is better quality imo and most of them come with 21mm. Also make sure your exhaust port is matched to your exhaust so there's no restriction there. And if you're running a nt speed still do yourself a favor and get a mikuni vm18 or oko carb

Are you running rich or lean? Pull your plug and check if the internal white insulator is brown black or still white, brown is lean black is rich and still white is optimal. If you didn't already know I won't assume your knowledge on these motors
Allen bolts tell a good sign, if they are 8.8(Grade) that's all you need, but I've had one of the cheap knock off motor last me well I've 8,000 miles max speed was 45mph
Take off the China throttle you can get a full aluminum throttle quarter throttle and full throttle for $29 on eBay you'll need a four and a half inch extension on cable length and they come in several different colors but fully aluminum
You dont even have a high compression head or upgraded cgi....i call bullcrap on 55mph. Hell, I cant do 55 running 112 octane with a 30 tooth sprocket !!
Yeah, but the riders (kids) should have enough brain power, to think about others. If not, they should NOT own one of these indeed. I also own one of these, and only use it as a hobby. Meaning, I'll use it to ride around where I live every second-third day for 10-20 mins. But, the place is nowhere near a main road. There are harly any cars. No bikers. No pedestrians. And, I don't rocket everywhere.

It's a bunch of hipe,,,that set up don't give any power ,,it looks good and you would think it would be fast but it just sales tactic if you ask me

Make sure everything is properly sealed and get some decent gaskets. Dios are known for air leaks but that’s an easy fix
That motor won't last to long without an Air cleaner!!! Thanks for sharing...
You'll be surprised, mine has gone over 1000 miles with a dio Reed without an air filter through dirt and some rain and the cylinder is still perfect!
