I first smelled this one 10 years ago but somehow I looked past it (!) and got a bottle of Pulp instead (which I still love also, but not at all like how I feel about BDA now) and never smelled it again until a few days ago...a decade later and I am sooo in love...obsessed. It is exactly like you say, 100%...its just so perfect. I ended up smelling it all night and wore it to bed that day when I smelled it again and I ended up falling asleep dreaming about it also - that was a first. Such a magical fragrance. It makes me only want to own fragrances that I feel this strongly about. To me, it doesn't bring me to Africa, nor is it very unisex, I find it soo feminine and ethereal, almost cold but in the most seductive way and cosmic, like a bright star in a black sky, or even a galaxy comes to mind. As you see this fragrance does stuff to me haha. Great video.
The two full bottles from Byredo that I have are Bal d'Afrique and Pulp. They're the best of the house for me so far, and I think they are about equally great. Pulp is my favorite fruity scent - even if the fruit is overripe. But I don't think Bal d'Afrique is outright feminine. Its unisex leaning feminine.
Just found your channel and I’m really enjoying your videos! the perfumes you talk about are not very common which is really really nice, keep up the great reviews!!!!
Im so glad you said its not so much citrusy because it would have put me off as another review was going on about the lemony note , I’m hoping its more earthy, but only one way to find out !
To my nose, it smells like sweet woody florals...It's got this sweet almost damp thing to it...I often wonder if I got a bunk bottle because I don't smell a hint of citrus lol!
I think Reine de Nuit is the best. It smells amazing. With every day, you get more fascinated by the smell and it gets better. And when I sprayed it on my hand or on the paper as a try-on, it was good, but not as good as a new bought one. When I smelled my perfume, I was actually amazed by it. Wonderful smell. Costs $350, a little more than usual, but 10/10 would recommend
Oh I get the citrus. Its just that its so well blended and balanced with the fruit, floral and woods. Many citrus fragrances lead with citrus, but this one leads with a well blended melange.
Let me know in the comments - do you love this fragrance too??
yes, I just got mine yesterday :-)
By far one of the best reviews of this perfume I've ever heard. Thank you!!!#timelessreview 💫👏😃
You have no idea how much that means to me!! Thank you!! I love this fragrance with all of my heart!! ❤️❤️
Hallo from Austria! This is also my favorite - this scent makes me so happy!
