the TCG exclusives are cards designed by the OCG, they are just released in the TCG first. if you are interested in a proof, look at this card: "SPYRAL MISSION - Assault", the card is censored in the TCG version of the card, they removed the brass knuckles. if is was censored then it was not designed by the TCG, it was just released in the TCG first.

Its good to see Reptiles getting some love. Being the first wave for a tcg exclusive it is looking pre good so far. Hopefully they get some solid support in the 2nd wave. Solid cards so far and nice artwork as well. I also think this will work with a mini Ragnarika engine.
snake rain + ogdoadic goes hard with this, another option can be pairing them with libromancer, their field spell is a rather perfect match for mitsurugi if you want to tribute your monsters almost none stop

The new archetype has so much potential with a lot of searching starters that ritual decks need, however because they are reptiles, ogdoadics are one everyone’s mind which sure; they got 4’s and 8’s but they suck super hard with how specific their playstyle is and combining that with the new rituals, droll, nib and even shifter will kill the whole ogdoadic engine. Basically just wait till their 2nd wave and if they get the same ratios again, the deck will take off right
Idk why but i feel like Mitsurugi's gonna be Fiendsmith for Ritual decks (an engine), Benten is still at 3 and it searches universal ritual spells, not to mention rites. Ritual decks like Drytron, Voiceless voice gonna have more bodies & interruption for their endboards
holy crap, new favorite box, the argostars will be great support for my phantom knights, and i will love building a mitsurugi deck with splashes of ragnaraika or/and reptillianne

The problem whit reptiles was never that they where not good at combos. They just didn't have good bossmonsters or negates exept zer'oll and ogdoabyss. Finnaly having a card that is an omni negate(the trap) helps them to a good degre.
Your going to with how many Link effects your going to be using for this deck with the Alien Link support to. Hell, the Odgo stuff doesn't even perma lock you into Reptile if you just get some of the engine of board.
That ritual spell is low key busted. And I hope they start giving rituals this quality of ritual spell. Summoning/tributing from the deck is exactly what rituals needed. I kinda hate this though because I just bought all Nekroz stuff to get ready for the new support whenever we get it but I really want to try this out when it drops. I don't think it will impact the meta unless it gets good second and third wave support. Hopefully they will get a Miracle Fusion for ritual summoning. Or a level 8 non ritual to facilitate the ritual spell to allow you to use just one material if need be.

finally a direction for Ogdoadic to go. for so long that deck was just a floodgate turbo deck but now it actually has plays for good reptile monsters. and the extra deck is free to be ragnaraika cards. I hate that it takes 3 different decks to finally make ogdoadic playable.
Nah this wouldn’t work well with drytrons I think, they need too much engine to function, diviner definitely likes this deck though, especially bc of how easy it is to make level ten and eight synchros
@evanhensley11 but you know we love our little engines with the inside of archetypes. How successful this will be, who knows, but I think it totally is viable. And as a lover of all things drytron, I'm definitely going to do my due diligence.
This deck is looking like a lot of 2 card combos, with some crazy extenders for late game grinds. This is what I hope yugioh goes back into, instead of the absurd single card board builders that we've been getting lately.
But it is perfect. You can send nunu and nauya for the cost of paying the ritual. Or keurse. You can tribute the ritual monsters for the ogdoadic effects and tbey just come back

I think that these new guys seem to want to be in the hand and Ogdoadics want to be in the graveyard. Would need to see test hands once I’ve got the new cards to add to the deck.
This ritual theme is gonna be busted… gonna play this if the next wave of support in alliance insight gives them another maindeck monster and a form of protection
I'll be honest I'd much rather Konami not print new cards for a year or seriously space out non-reprint sets and just do reprints and new support for the existing card pool, since Tearlament product feels like it drops faster and faster and power creep has cranked to 11 a slowdown year would be great, just mess around with the banlist and focus on making the game as affordable as possible.
Am I off base here or can you just get the raika link 4 into the bin and special it out for protection from hand traps turn 1 in addition to the bonkers rituals?
Yes. And ALSO just start discarding out your opponents hand because they will be throwing shit into their grave to get off their effects and your just going to be mad tributing Reptiles for funny effects.

This archetype is so genuinely cool, especially because the ritual monsters don’t need to be ritual summoned to activate their on summon effects.
That part in particular makes them rather interesting to test with the other reptile engine parts

Im fixating on those tribute lines. Those Lv4s might play a role in that board wipe effect.
