I fear that there will never be a single Conqueror change before the lifespan of the game ends. Conqueror may never get a roll catcher for the rest of his life.
the "we dont have enough data" excuse is the dumbest thing ive heard the devs say and ive heard them say some pretty stupid shit. especially because JC himself said in a warriors den "i cant stay off reddit" which mind you i think reddit might have some of the worst takes but there is a group that knows what theyre talking about. showing off the pro pick and ban rates seeing how pirate and VG DOMINATED the polls every time and somehow not a single nerf to either of them you HAVE THE DATA RIGHT THERE DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT PLEASE. personally i think this game is cooked beyond repair (zerk tech being unfixable unless they rework zerk from the ground up) they keep adding more and more heros equally problematic (pirate, afeera, oceoltl,VG) and theyre too slow hotfixing anything. it would be better ending this year and then spending the rest of its lifecycle pushing for balance patches and maybe making a sequel.
It is, if they made a whole ass new game with the same artstyle, new code, and an upgraded fighting system with new branding I bet this "franchise" would make a comeback like no mans sky
@@el_slender They had a big chance when Ubisoft had the rights to develop an Star Wars title. Had the perfect battle system for the Star Wars PVP game, however chosen to go down an single player, copy past, cover shooter title and look how well that went for them.
The funny thing is that if they constantly did live updates, they would probably have a consistent player base that would want to spend money on steel and skins
for honor has 2 years left max. not only because of year 10 - but Ubisoft is in a horrible state and theyll prob sell out soon. regardless of what happens, for honor doesn't make enough money to be kept on life support, Ubisoft is on the verge of bankruptcy so they have to cut costs somewhere. plus the introduction of these new awful skins just means that within these last 2 years theyre gonna go full fortnite to milk out ever last penny, and then go out with a whimper. this game had insane potential, but they fumbled the bag multiple times. considering how unoriginal companies are these days, well prob get a for honor 2 in 2035 or something
@@armondshakir3655 bogged down with mediocre changes, questionable hero movesets, and general content drought. Tbh they need to remove everything that isn’t the campaign or multiplayer, toss arcade in the dumpster and cancel any event gamemodes. Their top priority should be adding more content (expand the war map or make a hub home to upgrade shit) and fix heros that need it
Instead of new heroes, Ubisoft should focus on refining existing ones. A 'year of refinement' would improve balance, increase player satisfaction, and improve the game overall.
I was saying this shit back when they added hitokiri, the devs were so hyperfocued on adding new things they completely left behind all of the things that actually keep players paying for cosmetics and playing the game. Balancing, adding QOL and unique things like fun stuff for your characters to do, minion clear animations, unique executions, new dominion, duel, breach, maps, hell reworking tribute and deathmatch to actually be worth my time of day to play, improving the faction war to actually be kind of fun to play. These things that many other well run live service games do for honor never got around too and its fucking killed the game. Funniest part for me though, I play a mobile game with bascially the same combat system just with no bashes and shit and its infinitely more fun to play and fuck around on than this
With a twist, the only way to dodge the bosses attacks is to unlock roll like in dark souls. And you get dark souls inspired effects, armor, weapons and a 7k or 10k steel emote where the hero lights a bonfire.
We were going to have a proper halloween event before it got canned. The lore leading up to the event was that Gudmunder found himself against an undead army and fought them off, with his battle ending with a one arm, undead valk. But no, we had to have a crossover event with a game that has nothing to do with For Honor.
What's your source for that supposed event lmao Don't get me wrong, many things pointed towards a Draugr themed "something", but an one-armed undead Valk? What?
This might be a hot take, but for honor was at its peak when there were 4 heroes per year. 1-3 And said heroes each got dedicated time to them. Like how and why they joined their factions. Now it's just " Yeah, here's just a random character we have. They're just an individual, but hes Japanese, so he is part of the Japanese faction. He has never been mentioned or teased before his season, but he's here now. And as soon as his season is over, we will never use him in a story again." 2. With the outlanders, it's downright horrible. They have no connection to each other or have been seen together in 4 years since their release, but they're a faction. Why not just make pirates crew, the other outlanders? Give them Pirate related armor. If not why not just announce the outlanders as sub factions. 3. There haven't been any other pirates, Muslim, Aztec or Egyptian warriors mentioned at all and it's been years since those heroes joined the war. Do the countries just not care to send more warriors, do they each have only one type of fighter? What are the other countries doing during the heathmore war? 4. And you're honestly telling me that the wu lin have zero backup for almost 6 years? The Chinese in for honor lore only mastered 5 weapons? They just gave up 5 years ago. They literally peaked at year 3 season 4 for only 3 months. The Chinese have mastered dozens of weapons. We still don't have a Lu bu type character and even if we did, they would prove added to the goddamn outlanders. The lore is horrible
It has so much potential. but that isn´t being used. honestly, maybe unpopular opinion but everything was better when the combat wasn´t read based and more reaction focussed. The game needs to be a bit more casual friendly to hold new players.
@commodorekhan8602 It's really not, even with just 2 heroes a year, lore costs them next to nothing and simply adding a Chinese hero instead of an Outlander is also easy to do.
@@ovyle oh i meant having 4 heroes a year. Personally, i dont care enough about lore in this game when the heroes are already based on historical factions/chars i mostly care bout how the game balancing feels
@@vaskur8998 I am so glad I'm not the only one who thinks this even if it's just 10 other people as of now. The fighting feels like such a cluster and it's just too much, reaction based just makes sense for the theme of the game, the technicality required to be good at the game just doesn't feel right since it's really just a mind game, and that's what for honor is more than anything. I was a new player for a week and the fighting system definitely did not hold me
please make an hour long rant, I need something to watch, also just wanna say that I love the fact that you skip the BS of other TH-camrs. I love that you give your actual opinion and don’t suck off the devs
If they stay afloat for another 2 years, then they will be doing year 9 and 10. They will probably be bailed out anyway. Depends how much funding they get from blackrock and what have you
Unfortunately for honor is another case of a great game ruined by horrible dev choices. The community has been crystal clear about what they want. Rework and nerf the heros that need it, new maps, new modes, new progression. Simple things that can be implemented if the devs spent 20% more effort to listen; but instead we get mediocre events, out of place cosmetics, and radio silence. Once zanny left FH the game signed it’s fate. Let’s just hope another company makes a game that for honor deserved to be once the art of battle copyright expires. Ubisoft has killed too many iconic and unique games. They need to fall for gaming to excel
@@georgefeldman5647 he’s definitely back, but his first departure marked the beginning of the end. Vita-neon and other meme TH-camrs kept the game’s community going more than ppl know. Sure zanny is back and that’s great, but for honor is completely different than what it used to be 6 years ago. Not for the better
@@LeMagicienX none of us do, but I’ll ask you a question to think about: would you rather see this game die in one grand event where the devs completely rework multiple heros as a final homage to the series. The content is over, the devs are honest, and despite their shortcomings throughout the years. The community has one last surge of life, players return from years of inactivity to celebrate the highs of the game. FH dies, but the community is immortalized Or Would you rather see a slow trickle of minor hotfixes, uninspired uni-executions, and collabs that break the fundamental immersion. Eventually to be left in the dust after the last bastion of players eventually cant stomach the sour taste of band-aid fixes. The only legacy for honor will leave are countless videos and discussions of the mediocre decline. For honor will not last another 5 years and that’s obvious. The community is done with the laughably horrible “content updates” the least the devs can do is pool all their resources into a final content update to leave the community on an upbeat end
@@AteBrush yeah, I can see where you're coming from. The devs have a choice to either honor the passion of the player base with one final, impactful update or let For Honor become just another tale of wasted potential. Hopefully, they choose the former, prioritizing quality and a proper send-off over dragging out its lifecycle just to milk it dry.
I'm glad you mentioned how OP Pirates grab bash is. I genuinely cannot think of any reliable counterplay for it for every hero. You cannot guardbreak it, you cannot dodge attack it, and it's too fast to light out of. So what the fuck are you actually meant to do?
I've played since beta (Stockholm syndrome) and if you didn't play back then I doubt you'd know just how amazing the Dev team used to be; -Interesting new heroes that were both viable, fun and varied -Patch notes that actually made a difference and that were almost roster wide -Event that were cool and had decent rewards (Look at the Dead by Daylight event for example) -Executions....we used to get them for every character per season, not once in a blue moon or "hero fest" -Armor sets, same as executions, and not crappy "variants" where some tiny little detail has been removed or added and labelled "new". The dev team after COVID have either gotten EXTREMELY lazy, have way less funding (unlikely given the skins and events that could've had the resources used elsewhere) or simply don't play the game or don't care about anything other than money and business models. It's sad to see such a unique and long lasting game enter this state and I have a shred of faith (or just copium tbh) that they might bring it back but it's definitely not looking good. I'm almost done with this game
@@magic_manl2572 not sure honestly, but even if they did the game still had insanely good updates a few years after release. Even if the hero or patches weren't great- the events and cosmetic updates were. I think the pandemic really damaged the dev team
@bingchilling8586 i think it's clear that the budget was slashed in half after year 3. Warmonger's development was free from any lockdown restrictions and look how jank she is with all her reused animations and bland playstyle. There was nothing original about her. Even her feats were just better versions of nuxia's t4
@@magic_manl2572 true yeah, warmonger was a real disappointment. Cool idea linking into the story mode but the opportunities for her to be a million times cooler and more engaging were completely missed
Imagine new players coming in this state of the game 💀 Also that Majula outro is getting sadder & sadder. Like we know this is the beginning of the end
this happens to every game but devs never learn the lesson, look at league- theres literally no new players anymore, once they game gets to be too much, no one wants to go near it.
Even though this game is both a nightmare and a blissful experience. I’m gonna miss this game when it’s gone. There’s just so much potential that could’ve been done but oh well
3:58 2x xp is one of the main reasons why the Lord Ramiel event was at high activity for basically the time it was out. No clue why they don’t do it more often.
What do you mean Slanderous? This viking season has been amazing. We got a Cent Buff, a PK buff, Lawbringer buff, Conq buff(ish), 2 Knight skins of space magic heroes. Oh yea Gudmundr is a thing I guess. I can't see why no one has faith in Ubishit. (Really hoping the sarcasm shines though)
Yeah man making heroes braindead as shit rewarding you for just mindlessly press buttons is great im really happy the devs care so much about the players. This is sarcasm too lol
Bro, at least with a Skyrim crossover, they could have kept it to what they said at the beginning of the year, that it would be two Viking skins for the Viking season. Or at least, why didn’t they give us the Scorn Baron as a Zerk hero skin.
I DO AGREE and DONT UNDERSTAND why they go So Hard with these events that the community likes and then just SCRAP EM for us never to see them again. WHAT?!
I haven't played this game since season 5 when the game stopped requiring skill to play, and seasoned players could get decimated by new players using light spamming characters. The game punishes good players and protects bad ones.
Thank you for speaking this out. I have seen a lot of players say "be thankful this game still gets updated", which is true, but it also feels like the devs put as little effort as possible into the game, especially as we know what the devs are capable of in terms of new content and patchs. Sorry for any typos...
As a rep 700+ that played the 1st 6 seasons . Saw every change since beta..(literally played it since beta).. The many changes I saw from start to when I stopped playing it.. I went from loving the game, can’t wait to wake up and play it type of attitude.. to a I CANT STAND THIS GAME ANYMORE.. THEY MAID NO EFFORT TO KEEP ITS LONG TIME PLAYERS(vets).. they took to long to make changes, do much data pull that led to trash updates.. to much focus on making new characters instead of product development and fine tuning.. TO MUCH LISTENING TO THE WEAK SAYING THE COULDNT FIGHT SO THEY CHANGES THE RULES.. NO NEW GAME MODES FOR YEARS!!! NO NEW MAPS FOR YEARS!! Characters WITH BASICALLY THE SAME MOVE SETS.. IT WAS SO EMBARRASSING I HAD TO LEAVE A GAME I SO LOVED.. WHAT HAPPENED TO FOR HONOR WAS AND FOR EVER WILL BE AN EMBARRASSMENT TO GAMING PERIOD!
EXACTLY 💯. I also played this game from the beta until about season five. I got so tired of all the complaining by new players that now, with all the changes, they were able to defeat seasoned veteran players by choosing light spamming characters. The game takes absolutely no skill to play anymore. No mix-ups, nada. It's literally nothing more than a brawler game at this point. Literally a game you just turn your brain off and hack away.
@@Knight_of_the_Old_Code yea like you get gold flame at rep 70 right.. but that’s it.. after that it’s rep 1000.. nothing even at rep 500.. no effort to distinguish rookies from vets.. made no effort to separate ppl playing in teams from randoms playing. There were so many modes I thought of myself and I wasn’t even a professional.. LIKE KING OF THE HILL!! or never coming up with new maps for years even after it was the main request at one point. I remember them making a drawing contest of who can draw the best new map… it was a brilliant idea.. ONLY USED ONCE🤦🤦🤦🤦.. they should have kept going with that…. Just the many mistakes and attention to the wrong things
Honestly, I'm just playing the game less and less, to where I haven't played in months. All the characters I liked were "reworked" and turned to boring slop, new heroes + changes are underwhelming every single time, plus half the cast are just neglected, even if all they need are number changes. Devs focus on the wrong things, and somehow never know what the players actually want after 8 years. They have no clue how to balance fun and viability. I used to watch every warriors den and be excited. Now I just don't care anymore. Let the game die, it deserves it. I'm done
For Honor's biggest issue has always been being a Ubisoft game... I still can't believe the devs "fixed" breach and then left it for dead. Whether tryhards want to recognize it or not, it is THE gamemode that new players play.
I expected the event to be dead within a month and instead its died within 1 week or so lol totally waste of resources, even said on the event stream it was a waste of time in the chat.
Dear slanderous I understand your frustration of this game and I feel the same way in the Fashion community of this game the lack of cosmetics and style for one to costumize a character is frustrating and lacking. I want them for the next year to just focus on balancing and add more cosmetic to the games to add style to every hero we currently have as right now. Ubisoft is in a lot of trouble but we shouldn't give so much trouble to the devs as for my proposal for the fashion community they should make cosmetic purchasable in the battlepass if its necessary for them to adding more into the game.
You know it makes me almost genuinely sad to see this game now…I remember first trying this game on my friends Xbox back in middle school and then eventually getting it myself. It was so unique and fun, it had me hooked but now I’m out of school living in my own place and have consistently played this game throughout that whole time and over the years I could see the devs just care less and less. I would play a 4 stack with my friends and they would have fun but over the years they just got tired of all the new characters and broken shit so they just left. I really really think this game could have been something amazing and I do think it was at one point but every time a new update comes out it just always leaves me confused not excited. It makes me wonder how good this game could’ve been if it was run by another company yk😕
alrighty. So, You gotta remember Forhonor is owned by a big time company that is trying to milk as much money out of this game as possible. They didn't care about balancing, and they don't care about how happy people are with the game. People are still playing it despite its issues. That is the major factor to concider here. Not to mention up until the Halloween event with the Shoulin monkey skin theatre event the game was just being lightly mantained with content and not as focused by Ubisoft as something important. "If people are still playing our game despite all the balance issues, then balance issues aren't bad enough that we need to prioritize it. We need to do things that make money. Put more funds into cosmetics and weekly additions to the game, add more fluff and cosmetic flair to inflate the steel pool so that the likelyhood of players spending money on steel is much higher to compensate. Add more heroes to get people hyped up to pay to play them early, then slowly trickle in all the old content for those heroes to further inflate the steel market's value." Balance changes are only occuring because of the population count. There are more people playing than there had been for awhile before. Sure, big content creators are losing interest, but there are people still playing the game enough that money is being made. Now remember skins? The additions to the game that weren't necessary and actually force you to spend more steel to actually limit how much customization you have instead of just being like every other customizable armorset in the game? That was higher ups making the decision to add that. what usually makes money in other games? Skins. So they threw them into Forhonor to try and make more profits, even though realistically it only has the ability to customize material color and outfit color and literally nothing else. All of the money in forhonor's budget is going to the game's visuals and detailed trailers and hype. balance is important as its needed to keep at least some form of attraction to the game, but overall it takes a backseat. The destiny collaboration likely had a budget between both game studios. So they had to quite literally put work into making this map look good enough for Destiny's side of the deal, even if things like minion animations were redundant, it was part of the deal made. They know this dominion map will die not long after its introduction, but the collaboration deal still made them enough profit that they don't care. I'll admit. the Destiny skins actually have a bit more noticable customization than some before them. but also keep in mind the difference between these 2 skins. and also remember, that these are 2 skins compared to the 1 they usually release. Destiny paid them to make those, Destiny wants to benefit from this but Ubisoft also wants to benefit from it. So, in order to make sure both sides don't lose much money in the deal, they inflated the Steel price on these outfits and fluffed it up in the Heroes den. and suprise suprise. despite this immense price increase, people still put money into it. Overall. Forhonor has too many heroes for balancing to be easy anymore. There isn't enough money going into balancing, because from Ubisoft's perspective. balance isn't as important to keep people playing because despite the issues the game is still going after like what, 8 years now? Couple that all with the fact that the moment they delayed Assassin's creed, they lost like 90% of their stock value, and I assure you. Forhonor is not going to focus on balancing as much as they should. it does look like they are trying to pander to the community's requests because well, losing all that money, they now have Forhonor on a higher teir of focus than before. balancing is still not as important. but if they throw us a bone every now and then, they can keep a few more people around to spend more money. Regardless. Expect significantly more collabs so Ubisoft can profit as much as they can to try and recover from the economic collapse they just experienced. Balance changes don't make them money, its just a retention statement so people aren't as likely to leave or those that left take a look at the hype trailer and come back to spend more money. I will say though, The devs likely know what they're doing. Its the people above them that manage what they are told to focus on that don't play the game that are deciding how things go, remember that.
I mean I’d still like the Wu Lin and Outlanders and more factions but just balance the current roster right at the beginning of For Honor 2 and then add new hero, armor, execution, and map ideas equally to all of the factions and have better lore that better explains everything and all makes sense and fits the original concept and atmosphere and retcon all the goofy and magic stuff with explanations that it was all not real and so on. Also fix the Vikings armors at the beginning lol.
Some changes they need to do to PIRATE is no dodge cancel on her grab gunshot and also remove enhanced properties on her dodge attacks, maybe lower her gunshot damage by like 1 or 2 damage as it removes hyper armour OR make it so that it doesn't even remove hyper armour unless it is the grab so they have to make the decision whether to dodge or gunshot. Gunshot should also give the lowered damage frames that a wallsplat does from allies so they cant monopolise as much off the stun. Missed gunshot grab should not be able to be chained too and GB punishable. Might be too much but at least some of this!
I really wish they didn't waste their time with Star wars outlaws and whatever POS that skull and Bones was while there's delaying their new assassin's Creed game and still deciding to try and work on it, the lore also mentioned how we were supposed to have draugr based zombie minions in a more Halloween like but bungee decided to send them a bone and they managed to change their entire script within a month. They refused to ask the community for any feedback and they don't realize that this and rainbow six Siege is possibly the only thing keeping them running, their cash cow and yet they want to push their time into possible projects that are most likely going to end up horrible. With getting the monster Hunter Wilds beta, I played more of that game in the week its been up than I have played for Honor within a month. Has a fan of both of series monster Hunter was the very first game I was addicted to and I'm almost nearing 5000 hours in for Honor, only for it to not get the love that it should most likely deserve and that it could be getting. Once monster Hunter wilds comes out I might drop for Honor entirely because I myself am losing faith in a game that I played more than any other, and at this point I'm just waiting for it to keel over. I will continue to watch your content slanderous and I appreciate that somebody has some damn sense for this game, it's just the higher ups who are not listening. And at this point it's becoming very sad. Also, I love your ideas on heros you make, I myself would really like some sort of Captain that wears a tricorn using a cavalry sword. 😊
I mean the content is fine, is just the lack and extremely slow rate of balancing that's got us all bashing our heads. Something that really ticked my off for the last Warrior's Den though is how much they yapped on each balancing point for like 10 mins especially on those that were just bug fixes. I'm always patient, but it was the most frustrating nothing burger stalling I've tuned into and i think Solidsol caught onto that and released a video summary in under 10 minute and I immediately ditched the stream.
Its kinda heartbreaking how for honor has just been slowly dying for the last 3 maybe 4 odd years. I basically grew up with this game, I really wish they would just pull the plug at this point.
Talking of new heroes. I wanted to create 5 new heroes by the end of this year. Animations, models, movesets, everything. Was gonna be a passion project but with the game failing to deliver anything the fans want i cant bring myself to work on them anymore. Its just not a passion anymore and its such a shame. Also thank you for always speaking for the true players of this game, youre awesome 😊👍
Let's hope when Ubisoft inevitably either completely changes their leadership or goes down, the art of combat can go to some other developer, that actually cares to play the game
It is annoying that the devs make a lot of excuses on why they can’t give us what we want like for example they tried claiming that the Story Mode was on a different engine so that’s why they can’t give us everything from Story Mode like maps, armors, colors, animations, and so on and put it into multiplayer when they literally have given us things from Story Mode fairly recently like the Gränsgård map which is in the Ice Brawlers event, Tozen’s armor for Kyoshin besides the helmet, we got Gudmundr as a Warlord skin even though it’s not entirely accurate to his Story Mode model shape wise, and so on. They blatantly lie to our faces and it’s absolutely ridiculous and just very insulting since we are the ones paying for content. It was also annoying that at the beginning of the recent Warrior’s Den stream they were wearing a chef outfit and saying that they cooked because of the Destiny event when literally no one asked for it and that was such an out of touch intro and felt very insulting too and smug or arrogant but you still somehow have people defending Ubisoft though because they have no integrity just like the company they constantly defend for slop content. I hope we get a sequel or maybe even a spiritual successor made by real gamers that want to make a game about what For Honor should’ve done with its original concept.
The only thing that can save For Honor is the community and its content creators. If everyone continues to not give a damn about the game, we already know what comes next. I really hope this game survives. We need more people like Slanderous.
@@justagamethrower The people who take care of the game and the people who tell you what needs to be done are different people. Ubisoft bosses have to listen to their players, not their wallets.
I want you to keep making videos. You are the only for honor TH-camr I’ve been watching for the last two years. I hope that you would make more concepts and maybe (if you’re willing to deal with it) continue the real for honors den. But thanks for at least being honest. Keep up your amazing work.
What I'm kinda upset about is that when this game/Ubisoft eventually goes under, we will never get a game like this again. I genuinely enjoy this game and love the combat, but I know once it's gone, it's gone forever
I pray that players of this game or that a company made by real gamers make a spiritual successor to this game that become what For Honor should’ve become with its original concept and lore.
In my opinion with whats going on with Ubisoft as a whole its pretty obvious that the current forhonor devs are simply clocking in and drawing a check when it comes to maintenance and balancing, with its current state I only see it being active for a few more years its sad to see I’ve probably put to much time in but im here till im rep 80 with Tiandi and Aramusha or until it kicks the bucket
So glad to hear someone agreeing with me and saying how bs Pirate is... everytime I type this or say it somewhere all I hear is get good or skill issue

I reinstalled For Honor; I hadn’t played since two months after the Sohei came out. I was really looking forward to the Halloween event. How could they top a Japanese-themed PVE dungeon mode with a final boss or a Chinese-themed Raid? Considering it was the Vikings' season, and they’re quite popular within the community, I was just hoping for an event worthy of that faction. To my surprise, it was a collaboration with Destiny, a couple of ugly, overpriced skins for knight characters, and a Dominion mode with a boss in the church. I don’t know why I had so much faith in a team that, while doing what they can, doesn’t know what they want. I’ll keep playing for a couple more weeks just to complete the drip for some characters-after all, that was always the endgame for this game. 😔😢
My experience in for honor: I enter game of breach I play game All my teammates get Thanos snap I get bad bots I get to the ending phase I get disconnected I repeat
im hoping it has at least some 2 years in the bag, bought the game some days ago for 20 real and i am having a blast with it, just unlocked ranked duels, i already have 17 hours on it and i am looking forward to climbing, learning new champs and enjoying the game
For Honor had insane potential back when Cent, Glad, Highlander, Aramusha and the rest were released. Shit, For Honor had a whole new spark of relevancy in gaming back when the Wu-Lin and the Harbingers were released. Had the pandemic not set in, we might've seen For Honor get some more decent updates rather than whatever we're getting now. Yet, people have the audacity to say that the current team is doing a way better job than the team from Year 1 and 2. It's absolutely ridiculous, and the people from the fucking subreddit who spout this shit can bite my ass. The devotion and dedication the original For Honor team had blows this current one away to lengths that can't even be compared. I'll take what we used to have, flaws and all.
I believe the biggest reason for honor is pushing this Collab instead of focussing on the patch notes is because because Ubisoft is most likely going to cut for honor budget if they don’t start pulling in more money most likely due to Ubisoft biggest projects failing or being delayed
Noticed the options to select the loadouts on some of my Samurai heros are gone, i can't acess them (although i had no modification on them since i don't play some of them)
For Honor will last for 2 more years, at best, imo. Unfortunately it seems like the content with this game is over, I didn't bothered making a halloween video this year.
Somehow this video perfectly points out everything wrong with the game and ubisofts approach at keeping it alive, and ofc they parter with "never overdeliver" bungie.. makes sense since they got the same mindset. It would be cool if we could get the whole community to speak up, but they are basically brainwashed like they are in an 8 year long abusive relationship with a guy that beats his wife (they are).
i still would like to know what happened to the Nuxia rework. In April last year there was a testing grounds to test if her Traps could be made useful or not and depending on that, they would either keep that mechanic for her rework or not. But 1,5 Years later and still nothing was ever said about it
The Shaxx and Saint-14 skins could be a bad omen in my opinion. If they turn out to be successful, whats stopping Ubi from doing this more often? Resulting in the game getting bloated with hero skins that simply dont belong in the art style of the game. Call it Fortnite-ification. It happened to Siege, and it might happen to For Honor.
This is heckin satisfy and disheartening as the same time. We all swear and curse this game everyday but this game is no matched. Deep down we all love it to death, we all wish it to success and we all wish it to step into the right direction. Reality hurts, every Thursday that have warrior den, i sit though their yapping, expecting at least something. Needless to say the eternal disappointment just turn into neutral feeling. I just dont know anymore. I’ve stayed away from it for a while, but still checking news. It was so sad
Most frustrating thing for me is it feels like the cycle targeting has just reverted to the old way, Idk if it’s a bug only Im getting but getting ganked by 2 people and the target switch prioritizing a 3rd enemy in the back just watching is the most frustrating thing.
I think I've figured out why they gave us a destiny collab. Both groups hate the company, and the game Both companies are currently burning to the ground. Not only can the players relate to eachother, but so can the companies themselves.
This collab was not expected but predictable in Ubisoft's low stock case by partnering with another company that just gutted most of their workforce and lost alot of value as well. I don't see a bright future for this game after this last title update. If they actual LISTENED to their players this could've been avoided and the game would've been in a better state.
I'm of the opinion that the art team should be fired. I'm beyond tired of "armor variations" or new armor just being touch ups on an older set. And the hero skins are just copouts for making us pay for armor sets we cant customize or interchange
I agree and what also sucks about armor reskins is they keep reskinning the same set each time. I also want them to just have purchasable new armor sets instead of hero skins because at least armor sets have actual freedom and value.
@dutchalwayshasaplan4956 exactly dude. We all know they can make entirely new armors on older characters, they've done it twice. Why can't they do more, we don't need so many variations of the same 3 armors
i think it's a case that ubisoft is basically falling apart, price of ubisoft stocks have drasically dropped, it's so bad that some parts of the new AC game are AI generated
it will make it to year 10 and that's it, that's what their contract requires of them, then it will go on maintenance mode. They are already in skeleton crew mode with the smelly scrotum updates we're getting.
its such a shame because this game is still my favorite fighting game ever, i hope another studio can get the rights to whatever they need to either fix it or make a good sequel. even since day one, this game was ALWAYS held back by being a ubisoft title
It feels like for honor has been almost always trying to scrub away what gave characters a unique concept of pressure/fighting in pursuit of something that works with ‘meta’ (2 billion unblockable/undogeable or charge mixups) I’m not saying they need to bring back anything like shugoki’s one shot, but remember how his uninterruptible stance was unique? (Not the best concept ik, but it was something) because now we just get black prior 2 (Varangian guard)
It genuinely annoys me that The Division developers are more switched on in a way collab wise. That game just collab'd with STALKER fucking 2, as in, the anticipated sequel that's releasing soon, and fits the post-apoc setting that The Division is in.
Finally, someone said something about the obvious broken bs on pirate. She's not even the only character that's like that either. There are so many characters that have unpunishable moves or you have to make a double read after they fucked up their attack just to get your small punish and for them to start it back up again. I'm happy I've moved on to better games with devs that actually care and have brains.
The skins not fitting the aesthetic ≠ the skins not being good lmao. I don't hear people whining about how stupid effects look on every Idle, Kill, and emote animation. This is no different.
I mean if I’m in a dogshit lobby that’s especially bad, I just leave and take the ban bc that’s better than tilting off the face of the planet imo. My take is that by now they should have enough experience with making heroes to know what’s good and what isn’t
I fear that there will never be a single Conqueror change before the lifespan of the game ends. Conqueror may never get a roll catcher for the rest of his life.
I disagree but it’s rather he gets to do what Shinobi does on his running bash and maybe give his charge heavy some bullshit chase
The only problem I find with conq is having punch through on a character that has fucking unlockables WHAT
He did get a buff on his side bash i frames but still no roll catch 😭
It so sad as a conk main
Don't care about a rollcatcher, give back his cool moveset
the "we dont have enough data" excuse is the dumbest thing ive heard the devs say and ive heard them say some pretty stupid shit. especially because JC himself said in a warriors den "i cant stay off reddit" which mind you i think reddit might have some of the worst takes but there is a group that knows what theyre talking about. showing off the pro pick and ban rates seeing how pirate and VG DOMINATED the polls every time and somehow not a single nerf to either of them you HAVE THE DATA RIGHT THERE DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT PLEASE.
personally i think this game is cooked beyond repair (zerk tech being unfixable unless they rework zerk from the ground up) they keep adding more and more heros equally problematic (pirate, afeera, oceoltl,VG) and theyre too slow hotfixing anything. it would be better ending this year and then spending the rest of its lifecycle pushing for balance patches and maybe making a sequel.
Hope tencent sells the rights to the "art of battle" system and we get the indie devs on a spiritual successor to for honor..
When's the Zhanhu video asshole?
@@vaeom you can already make a spiritual successor. Just dont trace the entire combat system and you are good.

Ubisoft is gonna shut down before year 8 ends

Let’s hope
nah sadly
Once the copyright for the gameplay “art of battle” expires there will be a game that puts for honor into the dust
@@AteBrush once UBISOFT expires they'll sell the copyright, no use keeping something like it around if you're broke.

Year of balance
Operation health
I was saying this shit back when they added hitokiri, the devs were so hyperfocued on adding new things they completely left behind all of the things that actually keep players paying for cosmetics and playing the game. Balancing, adding QOL and unique things like fun stuff for your characters to do, minion clear animations, unique executions, new dominion, duel, breach, maps, hell reworking tribute and deathmatch to actually be worth my time of day to play, improving the faction war to actually be kind of fun to play. These things that many other well run live service games do for honor never got around too and its fucking killed the game. Funniest part for me though, I play a mobile game with bascially the same combat system just with no bashes and shit and its infinitely more fun to play and fuck around on than this
Thank you for speaking out on how the collab is stupid. The skins look cool but they don’t fit in the game
Yes! So much yes.
It should’ve been a dark souls/ Sekiro BB or elden ring collab.
skins look cool but dont fit
imagine if they reworked the skins to ACTUALLY look medieval
With a twist, the only way to dodge the bosses attacks is to unlock roll like in dark souls. And you get dark souls inspired effects, armor, weapons and a 7k or 10k steel emote where the hero lights a bonfire.
@ kyvian251 I need this and will never have it :(
We were going to have a proper halloween event before it got canned. The lore leading up to the event was that Gudmunder found himself against an undead army and fought them off, with his battle ending with a one arm, undead valk.
But no, we had to have a crossover event with a game that has nothing to do with For Honor.
Wait, fr? Thats so much cooler than what we got

This might be a hot take, but for honor was at its peak when there were 4 heroes per year. 1-3
And said heroes each got dedicated time to them. Like how and why they joined their factions. Now it's just " Yeah, here's just a random character we have. They're just an individual, but hes Japanese, so he is part of the Japanese faction. He has never been mentioned or teased before his season, but he's here now. And as soon as his season is over, we will never use him in a story again."
Not really a hot take. Just impossible to happen for this game nowadays with the smaller dev team and funds compared to the start of the games life
@commodorekhan8602 It's really not, even with just 2 heroes a year, lore costs them next to nothing and simply adding a Chinese hero instead of an Outlander is also easy to do.
Dude ubisoft is literally a dumpster fire right now, the way their company is going for honor only got a few months left
Zanny's been playing the game again pleanty though recently. He's come back after taking a break from the game.
@@georgefeldman5647 he’s definitely back, but his first departure marked the beginning of the end. Vita-neon and other meme TH-camrs kept the game’s community going more than ppl know. @@AteBrush I still don't want this game to die tbh. It still has its charm when it comes to its characters, story, maps, soundtracks, etc.
@@LeMagicienX none of us do, but I’ll ask you a question to think about:
would you rather see this game die in one grand event where the devs completely rework multiple heros as a final homage to the series. The content is over, the devs are honest, and despite their shortcomings throughout the years. The community has one last surge of life, players return from years of inactivity to celebrate the highs of the game. FH dies, but the community is immortalized
Or
Would you rather see a slow trickle of minor hotfixes, uninspired uni-executions, and collabs that break the fundamental immersion.
I'm glad you mentioned how OP Pirates grab bash is. I genuinely cannot think of any reliable counterplay for it for every hero. You cannot guardbreak it, you cannot dodge attack it, and it's too fast to light out of. So what the fuck are you actually meant to do?

I've played since beta (Stockholm syndrome) and if you didn't play back then I doubt you'd know just how amazing the Dev team used to be;
-Interesting new heroes that were both viable, fun and varied
-Patch notes that actually made a difference and that were almost roster wide
-Event that were cool and had decent rewards (Look at the Dead by Daylight event for example)
-Executions....we used to get them for every character per season, not once in a blue moon or "hero fest"
-Armor sets, same as executions, and not crappy "variants" where some tiny little detail has been removed or added and labelled "new".

WHAT?!
I still want them to bring back metal trials so I can get the Iron Legion colors.
I also want them to give all new characters metal trials armor and give all the Story Mode colors to us too like the Warborn Clan colors and so on.
I haven't played this game since season 5 when the game stopped requiring skill to play, and seasoned players could get decimated by new players using light spamming characters.
The game punishes good players and protects bad ones.
The Destiny update just made me thought "oh ok, For Honor is literally Fortnite now. Well guess there is no hope for this game anymore..."
Monkey man was the beginning of the end
You left out a single, important detail about all this: Ubisoft is a dying company.
that was a seriously depressing video...
Thank you for speaking this out. I have seen a lot of players say "be thankful this game still gets updated", which is true, but it also feels like the devs put as little effort as possible into the game, especially as we know what the devs are capable of in terms of new content and patchs.

@luisrosario7542 Exactly 💯. I haven't played this game in roughly 3 or 4 years, and I don't miss it.
I'm done
Facts, I doubt that the devs even play the game.
Shaolin my beloved
For Honor's biggest issue has always been being a Ubisoft game... I still can't believe the devs "fixed" breach and then left it for dead. Whether tryhards want to recognize it or not, it is THE gamemode that new players play.
seriously why destiny. Usually people that like medieval dont like sci fi.
I expected the event to be dead within a month and instead its died within 1 week or so lol totally waste of resources, even said on the event stream it was a waste of time in the chat.
It’s just a terrible gamemode😭😭
Sorry for yapping
@@landongilbert2311 First off, you’re not yapping, you’re preaching
Second off, don’t apologize for being right
Add more heroes to get people hyped up to pay to play them early, then slowly trickle in all the old content for those heroes to further inflate the steel market's value."
Balance changes are only occuring because of the population count.
I'm still waiting for that nuxia rework that they said they were working on but we havent heard about since
We need For honor 2 more than ever. Bring back the first 3 factions only. And expand on them. Along with new gameplay mechanics.
After 7 years of playing this game through thick and thin I thought I’d feel more sad to finally hang up the jersey and leave for good. I did not
Some changes they need to do to PIRATE is no dodge cancel on her grab gunshot and also remove enhanced properties on her dodge attacks, maybe lower her gunshot damage by like 1 or 2 damage as it removes hyper armour OR make it so that it doesn't even remove hyper armour unless it is the grab so they have to make the decision whether to dodge or gunshot. Gunshot should also give the lowered damage frames that a wallsplat does from allies so they cant monopolise as much off the stun. Missed gunshot grab should not be able to be chained too and GB punishable. Might be too much but at least some of this!
Dont Cry dont Cry
JC barely qualifies as a dev anymore.
Things really started going downhill after pope left
Who?
Nah, Flame of Frenzy all the way with this game
It's not up to the consumers to keep the lights on, it's up to the devs to keep the game alive.
@@CringeConsultant You're right, but you know what companies like Ubisoft want, right? The word starts with $$$
@@Daniel404xthat's crazy dude, Maybe they shouldn't make such shit decisions if they want said money
@@justagamethrower The people who take care of the game and the people who tell you what needs to be done are different people. Ubisoft bosses have to listen to their players, not their wallets.
If we unite like Dodger fans did Nov 1st in LA , for FH changes we’ll get one Pirate nerf and one Nuxia buff guaranteed
We just want new maps and new balance changes!
And new armor sets and actually unique new heroes.
The slow updates are driving me insane
ubisoft should sell the game to better studios
In my opinion with whats going on with Ubisoft as a whole its pretty obvious that the current forhonor devs are simply clocking in and drawing a check when it comes to maintenance and balancing, with its current state I only see it being active for a few more years its sad to see I’ve probably put to much time in but im here till im rep 80 with Tiandi and Aramusha or until it kicks the bucket
So glad to hear someone agreeing with me and saying how bs Pirate is... everytime I type this or say it somewhere all I hear is get good or skill issue
As a for honor enjoyer and a destiny 2 addict, i say the skins are perfect like... HOLY MOMMY IS LORD SHAXX AND SAINT 14! But yeah the event is... m e h. And even i have almost 200 hours in this game and dosent understand half of the the balance of this game, i can feel the heroes are more strong then other...
MAN the Majula theme hits hard given the context of this video
100% of the time and resources that the FH devs have is WASTED on temporary nonsense.
That's the issue. When that changes i might play it.
My experience in for honor: I enter game of breach
I play game
All my teammates get Thanos snap
I get bad bots
I get to the ending phase
I get disconnected
I repeat
im hoping it has at least some 2 years in the bag, bought the game some days ago for 20 real and i am having a blast with it, just unlocked ranked duels, i already have 17 hours on it and i am looking forward to climbing, learning new champs and enjoying the game
Tbf this rant only applies to people with over 1k hours in the game
2:36 it is incredible we’re in the 8th year of this game and these are still ongoing issues
Maybe they’ll sell to a company that keeps the vision, has money, and delivers regular well made updates… I can friggin dream.
But 1,5 Years later and still nothing was ever said about it
if zanny makes a new video, player numbers will jump up again.
I mean, Ubisoft is pretty much a sinking ship right now
As one of the people behind the Lawbringer and Centurion mods for Darkest Dungeon i would absolutely love to see some DD in For Honor
For honor in warhammer fantasy would go hard
For a game so different it’s starting to feel so generic
Marching Fire was the last time I was hyped about something in this game for more than a week. That trailer was peak.
Both groups hate the company, and the game
Both companies are currently burning to the ground.
@ exactly or even some time they’ll keep reskinning the same existing single armor set and ignore the other armor sets that some heroes have lol.
BRO LITERALLY SPEAKING OUR MINDS WE SHOULD COLLECTIVELY STOP PLAYING IF THEY DO BS AGAIN
i think it's a case that ubisoft is basically falling apart, price of ubisoft stocks have drasically dropped, it's so bad that some parts of the new AC game are AI generated
it will make it to year 10 and that's it, that's what their contract requires of them, then it will go on maintenance mode. They are already in skeleton crew mode with the smelly scrotum updates we're getting.
Im still waiting on that fabled Nuxia re-work mentioned like 2 years ago.
She got her rework, devs said she was complete
its such a shame because this game is still my favorite fighting game ever, i hope another studio can get the rights to whatever they need to either fix it or make a good sequel. even since day one, this game was ALWAYS held back by being a ubisoft title
For Honor used to be my favourite game a couple years ago
I think I can describe For Honor in two words. Wasted potential.
We all know the real crime is how they haven't given us the tozen helmet for kyoshin yet
Worst part bout For Honor? It from Ubisoft
I wish Jason Vandenberghe picked a different company to try out his For Honor game idea.
