Honestly, as a pure F2P, I think the best way to guarantee a limited 5* is actually to skip banners / entire patches. Still do the dailies / max MoC, AS, PF, etc though. Because you can basically get enough pulls for an E0S0 per patch (usually 2x banners) as pure F2P. So the more banners you skip, you can then later put them into eidolons and sig LCs if you want as well, or to pull multiple chars at a time. Like during FF's banner, I got E2S0 FF + E0S0 RM + E6 Gallagher in 297x pulls. In the Feixiao banner, I got E0S0 Robin + E0 Himeko + E0 Feixiao in 168x pulls, all as pure F2P. Another thing is, you get Starlight on pulls too. For me, it's been around 10% of my pulls, I get back as equivalent pulls with Starlight. Save the Starlight over time, try not to spend them on 4* chars or 5* standard LCs if you don't need to, because the 5* standard LCs are not as good anymore. Say 600x Starlight for a standard LC, that equals 30x pulls already. So I use the Starlight to hedge for when I do actually pull. The Starlight is how I actually guarantee pulls. Like technically, it's supposed to be 190x pulls to truly guarantee a limited 5*, but you often get the 5* like around the 70-80x pull, then it depends if you fail the 50/50 or not. So on avg, it might be more like 90x pulls to "guarantee" the 5* (at least for me). But sometimes, your "luck" might be above / below that. For the times your luck is on the bad side, use Starlight to compensate for the extra pulls. So Starlight are like your backup pulls for times of bad luck on your 50/50s and such. At least, that's what's been working for me to "guarantee" my pulls.
I try to treat my Starlight the same way. I really like your approach towards pulling for characters. If I ever make a video like this again, I will probably mention most of what you talked about. Thanks!
does getting 2 5star in 10 pulls count normal ? ....not only once but twice ?....i got himeko with Feixiao , pulled kafka in between and then Bronya with black swan ....i thought robin might get similar situation tho so pulled her but after the next 10 pull i got yanging....is it really normal or am i adventurine? .....i am new to this game btw and f2p
As long as you are progressing through Penacony's main storyline, you will unlock it. Although the soda head person will only appear after you've finished the story for the area. Hope this helps!
