I bought ignis delta automatic on road price delhi 7.10 L with 5yr warranty included on december 2023. Car was manufactured in mid nov. Price is similar to zeta manual Details Maruti december discount on amt of 35k 4k corporate 48k dealer discount, saved 12k on quoted insurance 4k on unnecessary additions of ccp platinum on extended warranty, no basic accessories so asked them to remove 10k from bill. Pros Mileage..Im getting mileage of 17+ in city with an automatic car! (bumber to bumper lowest was 16), highway highest was 21..but i drive very calmly. I Do not rev the rpm more than 2k..i try keep the rpm around 1.5k. Overall very happy with the car so far. Very peppy engine inspite of being automatic. No jerks when gears shift. Steering feedback good. Build quality felt better than spresso, alto , swift, even baleno, wagonr. Very good turning radius. Cons The headlight was not good. Changed headlight to philips xtreme after a few weeks Rear seat not comfortable. Bluetooth is a bit problematic. Blue tooth disconnects afyer turning engine off in traffic. Speaker is not good. Upgraded speakers to hertz component Visibility while reversing is not very good. The back view is restricted. If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask. Ill be happy to guide.

Tata punch has the best build quality of cars in India + rear seat is comfortable in punch but everything else is better in ignis. Ignis is 4 cylinder vs punch 3 cylinder. Very peppy engine. Much moree powerful than punch. Mileage ignis amt on average is 17+ vs punch is 10+ for amt (12+ for MT) Service cost is less in ignis. Easy parts availablity of ignis. No rust issue as seen in tata cars Better visibility while driving in ignis than punch. Ignis actually scored 3 stars in euro ncap. Even in prev GNCAP it scored 3 stars. Build quality is better than all maruti cars (except brezza and vitara). Crash rating of front of ignis (frontal collision) is good (as good as Tiago) but the side collision is poor. Punch will run fine without issues for 5yrs and then if luck is bad,then problems will start with repairs cost becoming expensive (as per previous owners youtube videos who sold tigor and went for ignis) Main problem with tata is their workshop doesn't know how to fix issues if something goes wrong. Terrible after sales. But car is not an asset, it's an liability. after buying car, the real spending starts on petrol, service, repair cost, parts cost and parts availablity. It's my first car so right now i can afford a car which I can manage financially without stress...so i went for ignis. My total cost of ownership might be less Also stress free ownership of maruti cars with parts and repairs available even in remote locations. If money is an issue ? or ur city drive is 80 percent with occasional outstation trip.? Go with ignis. As ignis , even the worst bumper to bumper with automatic is 16+ which is shockingly great. But rear seats are not comfortable due to stiff suspension. No money issue ? or ur route is highway predominantly? Or you want comfortable rear seats? then go with punch. If ur considering punch, then u can also check out TIAGO NRG XT and TIAGO NRG XZ. More feature rich with good ground clearance. Mileage is around 13+ in city

ignis got 1 star as per latest GNCAP norms however it had 3 star wrt previous GNCAP norms
