I have a ChipO in my bag and I love it. Saves me a lot of strokes. I’m a bogey golfer and the ChipO just has such a larger margin for error around the green than trying to chip with a wedge. But I don’t use it if I’m more than about ten yards off the green.
The ChipR seems to be a great Club (apart from the name) and would probably help the majority of weekend Warriors who haemorrhage strokes around the Green. And in my experience, most WW don't really need 14 Clubs so could easily drop their 9 Iron to get the ChipR in their Bag.
most weekend warriors could drop 6 clubs from their bag and still shoot the same score (Driver, 4hybrid, 6,7,8,9,GW,Putter) is an 8-club bag that would easily do the job - that gives you 6 free clubs (ChipR, ChipO, Cleveland Chipper, Alien Sand Wedge) and you still have 2 free clubs

Makes me laugh how many hackers carry 4 mid/long irons that all go the same distance yet can't find room for a club that would actually help them
@@robertcourt8593 I totally agree it's crazy. These days I only carry 12 Clubs, so would have space for a specialist Club for chipping
