Here in Texas, renewing a driver's license can be a dreaded process. The Texas Department of Public Safety shared some tips to speed up the process.

Tried four times and still don't have one, never taken me months for an appointment, but since I moved and lost everything, everytime i go in I'm told I need some other paperwork or that something that used to work now doesn't i.e. you can no longer use social security medicare cards in place of a social security card, yet I need my ID to get that...catch 22. F'd. Trying to follow the rules and do everything right and I can't seem to win, at least i know it's because I stupidly miss placed it moving. I feel so bad for people who get their stuff stolen.

Missed the boat on the driver’s license appointments. They want your passport or birth certificate. If you don’t bring one of them, you have to start over. Tons of people have to do that. You cannot simply renew just because it’s been renewed for the last 30 years. Believe it or not.
