That splitter is awesome, it seems like it's probably the best bang for your buck. I don't know any other splitters on the market, aside from the ultra, capable of this output for the price
I like the auto cycle for efficient splitting although it’s a device that requires much focus while splitting🇺🇸👍🏻👏🏻
Splitting logs requires focus full stop an just recovering from accident with splitter Vs my hand and the splitting knife had have 50% the tendens of my finger rebuilt never underestimate the power of splitter. 🏴
It's great not having to hold that handle. Frees your hands to keep things moving along. Definitely A LOT easier.
Guess what ......... Turning those rounds into sticks faster (and I believe it's a lot faster) leaves more time for the important things in life 🍺🍺🍺 great job Scheib 👍👍🍻🍻
The only negative that I can see about it is the wood that you’re splitting is nice straight grain and it’s not necessary for the ram to fully cycle to the wedge. It would be better for knotty pieces.
I really liked it on my old splitter. It didn’t have a long lift so I stay the split and go get another log. That’s a great splitter.
That thing is a beast now, great job on making it
Nice work on the new upgrade!
Great video again sheib keeping me going through recovery. Hopefully get to run some leavers next week still no lifting or sawing though. Auto cycle looking good though. 👍🏴
Keep that tourniquet I gave you handy grabbing at the logs like that. The log lift raises by itself on some stuff and the splitter is going to cycle anyway now
Hey there Scheib, as new subscriber after seeing you on Back 40 and OWB came across to your channel straight away, looks like a great set up you have there but did catch your neighbour giving you the evil eye with hands on hips …hahah or maybe she’s just interested in your new addition to the splitter eh !!!
Very cool I like the new valve Scheib good job!👍👍
Nice install, and glad you like it
Besides working out a few bugs it looks like this will be a big help. When you can keep your hands free you can keep things moving.
Auto cycle valve has to be great! Looks like a winner to me. 👍🏻👍🏻🍺🇺🇸
The auto cycle is a Great addition to your splitter. Looks like it will help cut splitting time down!! Have a Safe Day
I ordered a autocycle valve for my rugged made splitter after seeing yours it looks like it may be easer once you get used to it looking good
That auto cycle is definitely slick!! I like the fact that both hands are free to use and move the splits!! It seems to be quite a bit faster on splitting from first touch of round to touch of split! Stay safe my friend 🍺🍺🍻
Job well done Scheib
Good morning everyone. Looks like the new controls are working pretty good! Keep up the great videos.
Looks good. I think the valves are in the perfect place. Yes, it should be faster as you now have an extra hand free.
I was torn between auto cycle and non auto cycle on my new splitter. Definitely nice for some things but on wood that doesn’t require a full cycle to split auto still runs through where manual you can pull back early. Looks good so far.
Maybe you’ll end up liking your new lever set up anyway. Seems like now they are in order of importance relative to where you stand . Not having to reach across other levers to split. Woooooooo!
The faster the splitting, the better!
I’ve seen other log splitters like yours and all of the log lifts Are bleeding off too must be something to do with the plumbing on all of them
I believe it’s the valves once I swapped the valves around it doesn’t do it as bad
You can get a lot of wood split up now
Hi Scheib, looks like it’s paying off, definitely quicker. Bet you wish you did that earlier.
Now I want one.
Great customization there now just put a cooler on it and you'll be set👍🇺🇸🍻
I like the splitting, but I have one question before I commit is that a can of water or beer?
hi there looks like s new learning curve . has you practice or use it i think it will be even faster , your timing and order sequence has changed and now its a bit off . good job john
The tap handle is neat, too bad it says Miller lite on it though
Hey mate, what are your thoughts on the wallenstein 845 ? I run one here in New Zealand , goes well
I have an old splitter would love to put one on it. Don’t know if if would work on it. It’s a 35 ton splitter
There are two versions of the auto cycle valve. A “power beyond “ and a standard valve.
You can install either valve on any machine.
Hey Scheib- It appears to me that the return stroke stops way short of the cylinder length. How did you achieve that…??
On these machines there is a block you can put in to stop it short.
I had the same question. Wanted to see if I could adjust mine
I notice you have a bolt in the main beam of the splitter. Does that allow you to set the stroke so when it retracts is only goes as far back as your desired log length?
Yes it comes with a bar to put in there but over time the bar gets bent up the bolts seem to work better.
Scheib, did you keep the high pressure flow into the control valves the same? Is the first valve to receive the lift, wedge, then split cylinder? Can you control the log lift and/or wedge while the auto cycle is engaged?
Yeah the auto cycle takes some getting used to,on my new splitter I find myself running it manually about 50 percent of the time still
How much was auto cycle valve and hoses with fittings sorry I didn’t look at message before I sent it

4.5 feet long with a 90degree 3/4" jic and a
straight 3/4" JIC but if you have a hydraulic shop
near you could be cheaper.
@@OutsidewithScheib thank you and I do enjoying watch you splitting and bucking some Becarefull and have fun doing it
Oh I almost forgot. Woooooo😲
Schieb, it is faster! Nice channel!
Hey Scheib when you finished adding the new auto cycle was their much hydraulic oil lost and if so how much approximately?
Hi Butch did the arrow circle back with the hoses need
Not sure I understand your question.
Did auto cycle valve come with hoses and fittings to be installed
@@tommyrichmond1293 no
Auto cycle on your splitter is easily equivalent to another person helping you out.
You need to start another line of business.... modifying everyone's ruggedmade log splitters, mine could be your 1st one lol
You need a conveyor
You have a problem sir! Now there is too much stacking to do lol. Worst job in the process.
You got that right lol
