Thank you Kelli for this thorough and helpful review! This was a trickier formula to make (and then explain😅) and your tips and demo is super helpful in showing people how to work with this type of formula! Thank you for always giving great nail painting education, many appreciate it😌💅
I appreciate the work both Kelli and Kyle with Color Expression put into swatching. I learned a lot about working with this formula even though I’m a veteran painter. And also - thank you for putting out clear information and beautiful, interesting polish for us to enjoy!
These are for sure a very specialty polish where you have to follow specific directions, but I will give it to Holo Taco on this one: they are 100% exactly as described so you know what you're getting and how they will behave. Picked up the new base coat and just the silver chrome. It's really fun and looks better than I thought in person.
Thank you for honestly highlighting the limitations of this formula! I am all about innovation and brands trying new things, but these polishes do not perform like typical nail polish and I think it’s important that people know that!
I'm glad you appreciated it! I know people don't love "negative" reviews but I agree, it's important that people know what they're buying!! (Editing to add: this is not a negative review. I liked the polishes, as you can all tell 😝)
I agree with you, however, to be fair, the brand is very open about the qualities of these polishes and what you can and can't expect from them. I believe if you never saw this but watched their videos and read their disclaimers, you would be informed enough so you wouldn't feel cheated.
@@timainwhitewolf but that's also what reviews are for :) I mentioned this stuff BECAUSE the brand mentioned it, and not everyone reads disclaimers or watches brand promotional materials before purchasing.
@@KelliMarissa you are of course right, and I agree that it's very important to mention good and bad in reviews! My response wasn't meant to say anything negative towards your video at all! I apologize if it felt that way! You did an amazing job (as always!)
While a one coat formula is convenient when applying, I've found the thinness makes any one coat manicure last poorly on my friable nails. Coupled with the recommended lack of top coat, this made this collection a no go for me for now. I'm glad you mentioned that it's okay to have two coats even if a polish doesn't "need" it.
To be fair, this polish is not advertised as long lasting. In fact, it's noted on the website that it's more for big impact for one night, and to apply the same day if you want to wear for an event. I'm with you on thinness though. I always apply two, possibly three, layers of polish, at least two of top coat. I hate when it's too thin
I actually really love this set, but then again, metallic foils and other metallic finishes are my ride or dies. I am currently wearing a full mani of Trophy Life (because I will die on the hill of gold polishes) and it's day four and I have no chips! I work with my hands, too, and have showered and washed my hands as normal. I did decide to do two layers of polish, and then I went for the top coat to help the durability, and honestly, once it settles and dries, I feel like I'm getting the normal amount of reflective chrome shine that I would without the top coat. But day four and still going strong, so I'm feeling great about these. More metallics! More golds! Muahahahaaa!
@@KelliMarissa I think for your routine of 1-2 manicure changes a week these would work for you! And honestly the top coat, at least for the gold, doesn't hurt it at all.
I'm in the minority people who really likes pearlescent finishes and others where you can see the brush strokes, so these polishes are very interesting to me! They also kind of remind me of a smooth version of the starrily foil polishes (bellatrix and pegasus)? Great to hear your thoughts on these! :)
this collection was a hit for me aqua foil is 10/10 my favorite. I feel like Cristine went too hard on the disclaimers and might have scared a few people off of buying it lol. tho I am surprised to see how divisive chrome finish is in the nail polish community lol
As someone with very ridged nails and questionable hand dexterity, I suspect this collection is not (yet) for me despite being a big HT fan. I appreciate how transparent HT is on the website pages about how they're not standard polishes. Once I get better at painting efficiently and have a bit of cash to spare, I may have to take a chance on the colored ones!
You do you, of course. I tried them for the first time this morning, and I found that because I'm applying a thicker coat to start, it feels a little forgiving. Also, somebody in the comments suggested putting smoothing base down, then the quick dry, then the chrome. I think that's a smart suggestion.
I did buy this collection! For the past week I wore a reverse french tip (a cuticle tip, if you will) with world's first and the accent being plain black. I did wear a top coat too. I was shocked to see that the silver actually reflected colors in my vicinity! It looks SO good in person. In practice, I found this formula to be easier and longer lasting than the warnings have suggested. If you're like me, the biggest impact on how long my polish lasts is how many days I have work that week. Basically, don't be afraid to try this collection out if you're interested!
Together with the tea and coffee collections, this is my favorite. Nice colours, good coverage, versatile.... Love this collection. I recreated the stained glass effect did by Cristine and next step is trying stamping :)
I've had this collection on my nails for days and love it, I didn't realize there was controversy over it until looking at the comments lol! After four days I only have chips on my index nails, which is normal for me. I did put top coat on but I didn't notice a huge difference anyways. I put the chrome polish over an existing Mani (I was too excited!) and because of that I had three nail tips with imperfections, but I just sponged on a purple Holo glitter gradient at the top and it's gorgeous!! 💜🦄
I usually love Cristine’s thoroughness when it comes to her polish drops, but with this one I almost feel like she was overly thorough to an extreme, and scared a way a lot of people including die hards. I’m not the best at doing my nails but honestly the formula is so smooth I figured it out after one nail and have not had a single issue with the polishes at all.
Honestly I do appreciate the transparency from the brand on the situation with the formula! I think I would have been disappointed with them if I assumed they acted like regular polish and found that they apply/wear differently, but knowing that info I'm able to truly enjoy them!
@@KelliMarissa I also appreciate your showing two coats to deal with it. I have done that before when I mess up my cuticles! 😅 The polishes may be one coat but the trickiness level is reduced with two.
But then again, imagine if she didn't inform people properly, they bought the product and thought they were duped. I feel it's better to lose a sale than a customer.
Thank you for the honest and fair review!!! I feel like a lot of the reviews for this collection have been overly harsh. As always, your swatches are stunning and your opinions are well thought out! 😁
This nail polish collection reminded me a lot of the Sally Hansen Chrome collection from over a year ago. Your recommendations helped me apply it better. Thank you!
I skipped this set, because I am honestly not a huge fan of chromes overall, multichrome or single colored. I do however enjoy seeing brands experiment with new finishes and colors, so I was still excited to see the collection! I think it's also good that they disclaim that the formula isn't long lasting at all, that they're upfront about the formulas downsides. And I usually paint my toenails with holo glitter that sticks better so I don't have to paint them that often. Also gives me an excuse to use a formula I love the look of but hate the removal process of on my fingers! 😂
I usually wear Orly Nail Defense on my toenails to protect them from breaking from exercise & tons of walking at work. In the Spring & Summer, I usually wear color on my toes if it’s warm enough for sandals. If not, then just Nail Defense. I recently wore Orly Rose Colored Glasses, a sheer pink that makes your nails look like your nails, but better. It was too cold to go barefoot so I’ll save the color for warmer weather. I always wear polish on my fingers & change it weekly. I enjoy the variety of colors. Thanks for sharing! ☘️
I'm a total beginner and I freaking love this polish. lasts about 4-5 days and under 10 mins to repaint them down to dry. I wish all polish dried this fast!
I've been doing my nails for over a decade and I definitely had to redo a few nails with this formula! I ended up deciding to do only one coat with top coat only on my accents to see how it wore. Iron Violet and Aquafoil are just 😍 really a struggle to pick a favorite. I paint my toes at least once a month, sometimes twice!
im on my 4th day with aquafoil no top coat with very minimal chipping and i work for fedex mind u so im always using my hands. im soooooooo pleased with this collection.
OBSESSED with this collection, I really can't get enough of it. I didn't expect to be crazy for it but they're beautiful. Personally I don't even like the "mirror" finish some people are whining these don't have. Buy your nail powders n go if that's what you want- not every collection will be for everyone and that's fine.
I got my box yesterday and I really want to do some nail art that Cristine did and show us on stream :) They're gorgeous! I really prefer the purple, aqua and silver!
I LOVE these. This formula is my favorite of all of the formulas she's done. (And I do have a lot of Holo Taco) The fact that the formula is thicker, dries quickly and has the thicker brush? That's perfect for me.
I bought the set and am planning to try them tonight. I was a lot more worried about whether I would like them before watching your review. I know I’ll feel more comfortable with 2 coats and I haven’t seen anyone else show that yet. Thank you!
I appreciate your honesty in your reviews. I love that you gave potential downsides first. I would have watched the swatches, gotten excited about the collection, and then been disappointed that this wouldn't work on my nails 😔
Honestly same! I'm glad I saw the disclaimers first (from the brand) because now I can enjoy the polishes without feeling like I got a bad bottle or something haha
My collection arrived Wednesday and I'm wearing them all as a skittle. Iron Violet is my favorite, then World's First. I had no problem applying the polishes except for the wide flat brush, which I don't like. I keep my nails short and except for my thumb, they're not wide so the brush doesn't give me much room to work. I used Seche Vite top coat and it didn't make that much of a difference in the finish for me. I don't paint my toenails as often but I want to redo them in the next few days. I think I'll stick with my usual color for them, OPI Happy Anniversary.
Love these polishes. They are gorgeous and perfect for people who aren’t allowed to have painted nails for their work but might want to have a nice painted look for an evening or the weekend or some thing because they don’t take a lot of time to apply and it’s no big deal that they don’t last a long time and they also come off really easy with nail polish remover compared to a lot of other polishes. Definitely a fan.
I picked up World's First and the base because I'm fussy with silvers but this one honestly looked like it could be good. I did a few tester swatches before applying which I think helped me get a feel for it. I'm someone who switches up their polish every other day so honestly longevity isn't an issue for me. And honestly I'm willing to overlook a lot of possible flaws if something is pretty, which this polish definitely is
Wow Pretty!! What a great idea Lighter Chromes for Spring and for use any time in my opinion not to mention one of my favorite kinds of polish. I think you did a great job and tips were super helpful. I use a good base coat with these types of polishes to help hide imperfections though...makes me wonder what else would work under them and over them...??
I must say that these one coat chrome polishes are absolutely one of the most stunning i've ever come across since so so long. I Love that Holo Taco paired it with the wide flat brush for the smoothest application. Pink steel is by far my most favourite and i've always dreamed of a chorome polish with that colour and Holo Taco made it true.
Maybe it depends on the climate where you live haha! I feel like here in the desert, they dry too quickly 🙈 I'd probably have an easier time in NJ where I used to live haha!
I paint my toenails every month or so, and paint my nails every week. I also use Color Street nail strips occasionally too. I'll often use regular polish on my nails for the first half of the month, then the nails strips for the second half of the month because the nail strips typically last two weeks. Then I save the largest two nail strips from a set and put them on my big toenails! (For anyone who uses nail strips, keeping open sets in a zip lock bag in the freezer keeps them from drying out). Then I'll paint the rest of my toes a matching color to the strip on my big toe.
I got the three colored ones. I think they were stunning. I have been wearing my chrome nails for 4 days and they have been holding up very well. Compared to other chrome formulas I think these are superior. Ps I attempted stamping and didn’t work for me but will keep trying.
Yeah I have a feeling it's gonna be pretty tough to get these to stamp because they dry so fast haha! But I do love a quick dry polish so no complaints here 😂
Love your review as usual and I’m so happy for your tips and tricks with these polishes. They are definitely trickier than normal! I have a bad back so I have to get my toes done in the salon now but I only go once a month. When I did them at home it was usually every 2-3 weeks vs weekly for my fingernails. Thanks for sharing!!💕💅
I really like the collection. The colors are great! I paint my toes like once a month. It will match my hands at one point, but I change my nails once a week or every other week so it doesn't always match. During the winter months it's even less. Lol.
It lasted 5 days on my non-dominate hand. On my dominate hand, my pointer finger chipped in 3 days and the rest the next day. I did use the fast dry base coat and SGT. Love them!! Pink being my fav.
I love this collection - especially Aquafoil 🤩 It was a bit difficult to work with at first, but after figuring it out, I think these polishes are so cool. After my top coat dried fully, the shine came back to what it was before to coat. (I used Seche Vite Fast Dry) My only issue I had with top coat is I'm pretty heavy-handed and got some bubbles in it that are *super* noticeable to me with the reflectivity of the polishes.
Hi, I have been looking for a new video from you. Actually, I was patiently waiting for this video. Lol 😆 I got my collection last Friday. I love them. Of course, I had to experiment, I have two nails with annoying ridges, so I added one to two coats of smoothing base, then the HT quick dry base, and it did cover up my ridges. I also noticed that two coats of the HT quick dry base smoothed out my nails nicely also. Great video review, as always.
I love chrome. I used to have similar to these from sally hansen in the early 00s, they made teal, purple, red, etc.. still have a few may be dried out. I Have always loved a super silver chrome.. I will probably get the silver & purple, maybe pink too.. They could be good for the base of stamping a design. I used to always have my toes painted in warmer times of year, I like sandals when I can but then I had this hurt foot problem and haven't worn polish on my toes for like 4 years or more now. I'm hardly outside anyway. I didn't match since toes last so much longer. Often did some kind of silver or gray purple, or regular purple or red.
I just tried Aqua Foil today on my tiny, ridgy, peely crappy nails and was pleasantly surprised! I love how they look! I was prepared to be disappointed but so glad I tried this collection. I only did one coat and resisted the urge to swipe more than 4 times. So fun! I’m probably going to try the purple one next.
Just put on this collection today after getting it in the mail. I only did one coat (love the suggestion for two, definitely going to try that next time). I also added a top coat and found that the mirror-like finish does come back after a bit! So top coat seems to be okay.
I just received aqua foil and iron violet. I wanted to try a couple before buying the whole set. They are beautiful. Had no problems with application. Probably the best chrome polish I have used so far. Hope Christine brings out more colors.
Hi Kelli, 🎉 excellent swatcher / swatchin review LOL 😂 I have seen these new chrome polishes reviewed by other nail-istas and I think you definitely have useful experiential tips and tricks which make your review unique, enjoyable and helpful to me 🎉 Thanks for sharing! I have to get the pink chrome ❤ love that pink foil effect, and it helps to hear your comments on the formula on that one. Btw I think your hair is cute trimmed, and I love your bat necklace 👌 plus amazing violet eyeshadow!
Kelli your reviews and swatches are always incredible! Thank you for the time and consideration you put into these videos. I picked up the set and I am really looking forward to using it!
Always appreciate your honest reviews! These colors are gorgeous. I was hemming and hawing over these but I think i will give them a try after watching this. The pink, the turquoise and plurple?? I really need them lol
I also tried them for stamping, and yeah, they dry too fast. However, they are very nice for reverse stamping! The chrome shine is really pretty behind a black outline. Just be careful with fine lines. Since the formula is pretty heavy it can drag the stamp.
I paint my nails about every week and I paint my toes once or twice a month depending. As for this collection, I have issues with chipping when it comes to polishes I can use a topcoat with so I think this would just annoy me. However, I do like that they are putting out new formulas. Two this year is awesome.
I was so excited for these and was really only planning on getting the silver but my sister bought me the set for my birthday 😭😭 I’ve had mine painted (one coat) for a week and it definitely doesn’t last as long . It first started chipping at the tip of my nails (I couldn’t brush under as suggested because i got shorties lol) but it was hardly noticeable at a distance. I made a bunch of mistakes while painting 🤣👍 I actually like how they look chipped 🙈 I’ve never liked doing my nails too often so it doesn’t bother me as much. I love the colors and i think the pink is actually my favorite (sorry silver 🥲). Idk if I’ve gotten out of my honeymoon phase with them but i love the colors so much
I'm using these polishes right now skittles style, and if you have a lot of nail imperfections like I do, you will absolutely see them. Next time I will try using a smoothing or filling base alongside the quick dry to see if that helps even out my actual nail
This review is making me even more excited for my box to arrive! Luckily I only have to wait one more day!!! I can’t wait to play with this collection utilizing your tips and tricks! As always, thanks for the awesome swatch and review ☺️😉💜
This is why I always wait until your reviews to buy something! Out of all the reviews that I have seen of this collection, you are the only one who dared doing two coats even if the collection was wildly broadcasted as a one coater. I was really iffy on it, even if I love one coaters, but now that I've seen you swatch it in 2 coats, I absolutely love it 😍. My wallet thanks you 🤣
Love your video as always ❤ this collection is maybe not for me, I really want more wear time, but I appreciate seeing your review! As far as pedicures go, I usually paint them every month or so, usually some fun bright color (bright blue is my fave!) but they never match my hands! I haven’t done them in the winter but might start again this spring!
I'm absolutely in love with pink steel and aquafoil, but I'm glad you mentioned how they highlight ridges and other surface imperfections. I have divots in a few nails that are still growing out, and I hate how they make polishes look, so I'm gonna hold off for now
Love your in depth guide on how to paint your nails with three polished thank you so much! Also to answer the question of the toes painting I paint my toes once a month at the beginning of the month to match the theme of the month. Like December I do green and red, January I do silver for a shiny new year February I do pink or red for Valentine’s Day, march I do green for saint Patrick’s day, April I do a rainy blue for the April showers that bring the flowers May I do pink and purple for flowers and so on and so forth for the other months! The only holiday or month theme I avoid is red white and blue for July because I’d rather do something I like since my birth month is July.
I am always so impressed with how thorough and objective your reviews are! I was unsure about these because I always struggle with doing little strokes so I don't think this line is for me, although I would kill for Aquafoil, it is soooo beautiful 😍😍 As far as the fun fact, I paint my toes usually only in summer when people can see them 😂 or if I attend an event where I wear sandals, but yeah if people don't see them then I don't bother with them 😂😂
Love this review and I can't wait to try them out! I already used the new base coat and I looooooove it. I guess I was sleeping on Orly Bonder for a while???
GORGEOUS! I want them all! However, that price point is above what I'm willing to shell out on a single polish, especially once you pay shipping on top of it. :( Thanks for another great review, Kelli! I so appreciate the lengths you go to to be thorough, such as showing us what top coat does to the finish on these. Great video! The toenails discussion: I rarely paint my toenails in the winter for the same reason - it's toooooo cold! LOL! That said, when I do paint them occasionally in the warmer seasons, I don't match them to my fingernails. I go with whatever is going to make me happy to look down at! 😄
I love chromes so much. The grip that Essie’s Penny Talk had on me about 7 years ago was strong! That said I really only want Iron Violet so I’ll wait until I have more wish listed. I paint my toenails way more frequently than my fingernails. I think the fact that I can hide them with socks or shoes makes me less worried if they chip or my cuticle gets stained. I’m rough on my nails so I’m learning to be more gentle. Your recommendation for Orly Bonder Base has helped immensely though with my wear time!
I think there is top coat made for chrome nail polish if my memory serves me correct. It's water based and we would use it and then put your other top coat on!
On the toe nails, my family has issues with ingrown nails, so part of my selfie care every month is getting a pedicure because it keeps my toes pretty and helps with the ingrown issues. So I definitely don’t match my toes to my fingers and I typically change my nails 2x a week.
Got my collection yesterday and had to try these out asap. I think they're so fun. I love the colours together as a skittles mani. A little streaky as I've used a formula like this for the first time. But I agree, that it is easier to do two coats even if it would work as a one coater and I think it gets a better result when doing a thicker coat as I'm used to. But over all I have fun with these. Curious how long they will last without top coat.
Hi Hunni!!! My Favorites Are: #1 Aquafoil #2 Iron Violet #3 Pink Steel I Try And Paint My Footnails At Least Every 2 Weeks. Sometimes It's Longer Than That, Becuz I Have COPD And I'm On Oxygen, And I Can't Take The Smell Of Acetone, Or Of The Polish. But I Don't Let That Stop Me. I Paint Each Foot A Different Colour. Right Now My Toes On The Left Foot Are A Muted Lime Green, And My Nails On The Right Foot Are Sparkly Dark Green. I be SO Needa Redo Em. It's Been At Least 3 Weeks. I Used To Paint Em Every Week Before I Got On Oxygen Last April. ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️
I bought a few of them and the top coat, there were only a few that really caught my eye, the purple one and the pink. I too, love purple. I just picked up a few from mooncat ( Artemis’ Deathkiss ) gorgeous, almost fairy dust purple ( that’s how I would describe it ) give me a purple shade, and I will more than likely buy it…😂❤❤❤
For my toes, I painted them for the first time in YEARS late last year and actually usually like to go the opposite direction as you. I choose a very loud colour I wouldn't normally wear on my fingers and love it to clash horribly with everything else 😂
Since I am not a fan of streaky polishes I passed on this collection but I do love that Cristine and HT are not afraid to try things… not every one is going to love every collection and that’s ok. I don’t paint my toes as frequently as my fingers, usually just every 2 weeks but I live in eternal summer south FL and wear flip flops a lot… I stick with holiday colors- Reds and pinks in February, greens in March… ect.
To answer your question, NO I definitely don't do pedicures as often as manicures haha. I love doing my nails (I use wraps rather than traditional polish, though. I have shaky hands/tremors, limited patience, and OCD. Which make it really hard to paint my own nails to my satisfaction lol. Wraps are so fun though! So yea, I love having my fingernails done, but almost never do my toes. Which is weird now that I'm thinking about it cuz I love having polish on my toes lol
These polishes look DRASTICALLY different after they dry so thanks extra for showing us that. I didn't feel too impressed with them wet but they get so much more mirror finish when they are dry! I'm hoping we get some crazy colors in this formula like lime green and fuchsia.
Been waiting for your review on these :D I bought the collection box and immediately put them on as soon as they arrived. I'm with the others who like to change their polish every few days, so longevity doesn't matter to me. I am appreciative that they were totally upfront about that though. I wore one coat with the base coat and no topcoat. I only experienced the same level of chipping that I'd expect from any polish. Such pretty spring colors and I will definitely be wearing them again for Easter. Aquafoil is my absolute favorite with Iron Violet being second. As far as toes go, I have a pedicure in February every year with my bestie for her birthday. I usually won't change that polish until summer...maybe...LOL! I don't go without shoes often and because of my back issues, I rarely wear sandals. So, it's kinda pointless for me to polish my toes all the time in different colors.
I just got my chrome collection in the mail today, super excited to try it out! I actually just painted my toes the other day, but I only do it a couple times a year lol. Last time I got them done was last September. Before that, June. I just don't really care for my toenails tbh probably bc I wear socks all the time hahah

Yes. I like wearing polishes two days anyway. For me it’s a two coater w a topper, and a top coat. Too plain for me otherwise.

I just wish there was a pale ish blue but Iron Violet is defo a fave for me too 🙌🏻
It's sooo gorgeous!!
Yeah, I'm surprised people haven't been loving the recent HT releases! I think they're pretty great as long as you know what to expect from them 🥰
@@KelliMarissa 100% agreed!!!
I totally agree. I got mine in the mail yesterday and I really like them I think they look so pretty!
@@bellalily822 glad to hear it!!! Enjoy!!! 😁😁
It really is so impressive how fast they dry haha that's why I'm so excited to use them for nail art!!
I'm literally wearing all five right now. I love them! 🥰
Ooh yes a perfect skittle!!
im on my 4th day with aquafoil no top coat with very minimal chipping and i work for fedex mind u so im always using my hands. im soooooooo pleased with this collection.
I got my box yesterday and I really want to do some nail art that Cristine did and show us on stream :)
They're gorgeous! I really prefer the purple, aqua and silver!
I LOVE these. This formula is my favorite of all of the formulas she's done. (And I do have a lot of Holo Taco) The fact that the formula is thicker, dries quickly and has the thicker brush? That's perfect for me.
I absolutely love their thicker brush! I wish it was in every bottle haha
The last two are definitely the prettiest.
Agreed!! I love em!!
I bought the set and am planning to try them tonight. I was a lot more worried about whether I would like them before watching your review. I know I’ll feel more comfortable with 2 coats and I haven’t seen anyone else show that yet. Thank you!
I think you'll really love them!!
Omg I love that purple and aqua foil! 🤩
This is a beautiful collection. Perfect for spring. I am going to have to get a few of these.
They really are stunning shades!
Love this collection so much! Sooo bright and cuteee
Perfect for spring!! 😋
And honestly I'm willing to overlook a lot of possible flaws if something is pretty, which this polish definitely is
Pink steel is fabulous! 😻
I got the purple one, and it was a learning curve for me, and I'm not a newbie with polish. Love the final look, think I want the Aqua one next.
They really did a great job with these! I can't wait to wear them in some nail art and get that chrome shine on my nails 😍
Beautiful colors ❤
I love you eyes shadow and nail polish color you are wearing in the video
Oh wow! These are just gorgeous! I love the Aquafoil too, it's beautiful! I've got to get that one and the purple. Beautiful!
As long as you're set and ready to go, they stamp beautifully.
I really want to get back into getting pedis at the salon! It's such a great self care activity.
I've started wearing a cream polish under my specialty formula nail polishes and it helps them last longer
I really like the collection. The colors are great! I paint my toes like once a month. It will match my hands at one point, but I change my nails once a week or every other week so it doesn't always match. During the winter months it's even less. Lol.
Fingers are weekly and toes are about monthly for me all year round. You’ve helped me decide that aquafoil is the winner for March 🐠
I change my polish every weekend and can't wait to do an Easter mani with these!!
Oooh yes it's the perfect Easter color combo!!
It lasted 5 days on my non-dominate hand. On my dominate hand, my pointer finger chipped in 3 days and the rest the next day. I did use the fast dry base coat and SGT. Love them!! Pink being my fav.
Ooh that's awesome to hear!!
Yes, to painting toe nails! In the cooler seasons I usually do so once a month. In the warmer seasons much more often.
These are beautiful polishes. I will definitely try your tips for longer wear. Mine peeled in a day without Topcoat.
Yeah I think top coat will definitely help!!
I love this collection - especially Aquafoil 🤩
It was a bit difficult to work with at first, but after figuring it out, I think these polishes are so cool. After my top coat dried fully, the shine came back to what it was before to coat. (I used Seche Vite Fast Dry) My only issue I had with top coat is I'm pretty heavy-handed and got some bubbles in it that are *super* noticeable to me with the reflectivity of the polishes.
I did notice a bit of bubbling in mine too, and I used the Glossy Taco. I wonder why that happened!
It's definitely a subtle difference with the top coat, personally I'll probably choose top coat every time haha!
@@KelliMarissa 100%! I've been hearing that it wears really similarly to other polishes with the top coat too!
High five, Kelli! 🖐 I love purple nail polish too.💜
I just received aqua foil and iron violet. I wanted to try a couple before buying the whole set. They are beautiful. Had no problems with application. Probably the best chrome polish I have used so far. Hope Christine brings out more colors.
Those are gorgeous picks IMO, my two faves!!
I think you'll love them!! 🥰
Always appreciate your honest reviews! These colors are gorgeous. I was hemming and hawing over these but I think i will give them a try after watching this. The pink, the turquoise and plurple?? I really need them lol
Yeah those colorful ones are just stunning!!!
I was so excited for these and was really only planning on getting the silver but my sister bought me the set for my birthday 😭😭
I’ve had mine painted (one coat) for a week and it definitely doesn’t last as long . It first started chipping at the tip of my nails (I couldn’t brush under as suggested because i got shorties lol) but it was hardly noticeable at a distance. I made a bunch of mistakes while painting 🤣👍
I actually like how they look chipped 🙈 I’ve never liked doing my nails too often so it doesn’t bother me as much.
Yeah I'm curious to try a ridge filling base coat with them!!
Love the chrome look and the colors are lovely. They look kind of bubbly though.
This review is making me even more excited for my box to arrive! Luckily I only have to wait one more day!!! I can’t wait to play with this collection utilizing your tips and tricks! As always, thanks for the awesome swatch and review ☺️😉💜
Ooh you're gonna love them 😁😁
This is why I always wait until your reviews to buy something!
I've had the same bright pink polish on my toes for 2 weeks and I'm going to change it out today. I might go with green since it's March.
I love these! The colors are so pretty and the consistency is so good. I'm so glad that you did my suggestion.
BEAUTIFUL!
I was unsure about these because I always struggle with doing little strokes so I don't think this line is for me, although I would kill for Aquafoil, it is soooo beautiful 😍😍
As far as the fun fact, I paint my toes usually only in summer when people can see them 😂 or if I attend an event where I wear sandals, but yeah if people don't see them then I don't bother with them 😂😂
My favorites are Iron Violet and Pink Steel.
Aquafoil is gorgeous and I can't wait to use it. Pink Steel is already scheduled for the week before 🐣 Easter!
Love this review and I can't wait to try them out! I already used the new base coat and I looooooove it. I guess I was sleeping on Orly Bonder for a while???
Oh my gosh you neeeed to try Orly Bonder haha it's my favorite base!!!
Love and will order the last three.
I just do my toenails about once every month or two. I have the Holo taco coffee nails right now. Been itching to do them again.
Oh and my toes are always one color while I prefer skittles on my fingers. The more color the better 🤣
Ooh I like pink steel and the violet
And they're so pretty together too!!
Hi Hunni!!!
My Favorites Are:
#1 Aquafoil
#2 Iron Violet
#3 Pink Steel
I Try And Paint My Footnails At Least Every 2 Weeks.
I just picked up a few from mooncat ( Artemis’ Deathkiss ) gorgeous, almost fairy dust purple ( that’s how I would describe it ) give me a purple shade, and I will more than likely buy it…😂❤❤❤
I feel the same about these as I do for the og frosted metals, too pale. Would love to see it in black or dark green
Honestly I feel like the polishes still look great even with topcoat!
I agree! And it's such a subtle difference anyway, but I don't want people to be surprised when they apply it so I figured I'd mention it 😄
For my toes, I painted them for the first time in YEARS late last year and actually usually like to go the opposite direction as you.
Claire's had an amazing quick-dry chrome polish once upon a time. I'd love to see how the two lines compare.
Oh gosh haha do they still have them around? Might be tricky to find 😂
@@KelliMarissa Exactly - they really are!
so pretty 😍 It makes me feel like this is an Easter Basket in a bottle 🤣
These polishes look DRASTICALLY different after they dry so thanks extra for showing us that. I didn't feel too impressed with them wet but they get so much more mirror finish when they are dry! I'm hoping we get some crazy colors in this formula like lime green and fuchsia.
I am OBSESSED with your podcast!!! I listened to all of them so fast im sad I have to wait weekly 😂 you two are so funny!
Haha oh yay I'm so glad you enjoy it!!
I love when you apply a color you're kind of meh about and then just fall in love.
