I love the smell of Pure Tonka. It's beautiful and comes together into an enchanting gourmand. I can't wear it as much as I'd like though because this fragrance is outrageously loud and long-lasting off my skin/clothes. As always, thank you for another fine video!!

Crystalline, brown sugar cookies in a bottle. 🍪 The original formulation was an absolute beast on me. Came out the same year as Ferragamo Uomo (also a great performer), and nearly dwarfed it in longevity. Not sure if the newer bottles are lagging, but I would be willing to bet that's the case. A simplistic scent for sure, but also a great one to layer with.
There are no newer bottles. It was made for one year and been not available to find for years except ebay. The only fragrances that were not truly limited editions were pure malt and havane. If you bought Kryptomint last year for example before it vanished from discounters, the production date will be from 2016
I was prepared to blind buy, but managed to get a 5ml atomiser, and I’m glad I did.... holy crap is this strong. Coffee, cooking brown sugar, maple syrup, baked cookies, bitter chocolate, tonka and more coffee. I couldn’t wear this. It is so pungent... I just can’t imagine in what setting I could wear this. It is a little synthetic too. Longevity is good.
You nailed it...it's very nice, but there were already a zillion of these sweet vanilla type scents for the dudes when it was released, and Pure Havane and Pure Malt are the cream-of-the-crop from Thierry Mugler A*Men lineup. Sad, but true! Still, it's nice and easy to recommend trying. Cheers!
The three gems of Thierry Mugler are not available anymore in retail stores in my country but also at discounters, which is really a shame. They try to push the Alien line, so these gems in designers fragrance world had to be sacrificed. I hope this is not the case. Fortunately, I snatched all three of them at the beginning of September, maybe some of the last remaining in stock. IMO Pure Tonka is the one that I like most of the three, which came as a surprise to me. All three are wonderful but Pure Tonka ❤❤❤! Stay safe everyone!
I must admit im a BIG fan of the Amen line, tried them all except pure tonka & pure leather. My ratings: (1) Ultra zest, (2) Pure malt, (3) Pure Havane, (4) Pure wood, (5) A*men, (6) Pure Coffee, (7) Pure ultimate, (8) Kryptomint, (9) Pure shot/energy
Sounds like the trappings of SIBLING RIVALRY ... Each child competing to define who they are as an individual. Hard when your brothers are just so successful. Pain felt Pure Tonka ... left a little behind in the shadows of its brothers’ PM and PH. PT is a sweet buttery bulletproof coffee. I think PT does stand apart ... but perhaps not enough. I personally enjoy this one. Want a more Gourmandy Pure? This might just do it.

That, accompanied with your personality and your unparalleled utterly engaging diction, make your channel top notch. Call me crazy, but I always liked Rochas Man more than this. I still wear that, and it still gets attention, even though the performance is not that great. I don’t care about that though, because the scent is so good I don’t mind spraying it repeatedly throughout the day. Anyway, be well m8! 👍

I just picked up a bottle ,after years of saying I dont need it ,because I already had new Harlem and rochasman , but I wanted it for my collection and the price should be pretty low, i was wrong the current price for this stuff is higher than retail if you can find it.
I've tried Pure Havane 2020 and to me it's a 4 hour scent.I don't know how they manage to make a tobacco fragrance this light, but I will not bother with any of these. I'll wait for something new from Mugler.
So this is obviously something I shouldn’t worry about paying the much inflated price for? I got my feve delicieuse so I feel like I already have a solid tonka bean scent

You could do a video on the #mushiness of modern perfumes... I think the lack of definition in perfumes these days is because of the sheer speed at which houses release scents, it doesn't give the perfumers time to make them properly.
I absolutely hate Pure Tonka. It might be one of my least favorite thing I own. I find the opening weirdly synthetic and awfully sweet but in a bad way. That mintish lavender is just not good to my nose. The dry down is wearable but I would prefer Pure Malt or even Havane. Maybe I just do not.love mint as i do not like azzaro wild mint (neck and neck with worst I own)

Great review...it is a FANTASTIC fragrance.
I have tried from that line the original A Men, Pure Havane, Pure Malt, and Pure Tonka, the last one is my absolute favourite.

I think you have to like gourmands to enjoy this, good winter fragrance but I probably wouldn't call it safe
