    For EP minimum salary is 4,500 right?
    But can they offer lower then that? I have some friend in service sector earning 3000 but have EP.

    • @theimmigrationpeople
      @theimmigrationpeople  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Isaac,
      From September 2022, minimum qualifying salaries for new EP and S pass applicants increased by S$500. It is due to increase again in September 2023. That means the current minimum qualifying salary for EP is S$5,000, and S Pass is S$3,000.
      The above is the standard minimum qualifying salary by MOM.
      However, some individuals may obtain EP even with a lower base salary. It depends on the applicant's age, nationality, qualifications, work experience and last drawn salary. Note that it's not necessarily the same for everyone!
      For the most accurate minimum qualifying salary range, we recommend that applicants use MOM's online self-assessment tool:
      www.mom.gov.sg/eservices/services/employment-s-pass-self-assessment-tool.

    • @theimmigrationpeople

      Hi,
      For now, there is no need to hire locals to renew EP, but as you are considering applying for Singapore PR, it’s best to create job opportunities for locals.

    • @theimmigrationpeople

      Hi Sabrina,
      The medical checkup must only be done in Singapore.
      However, if you have done a medical checkup within the past 2 years for your work pass or LTVP, along with a medical report submitted to MOM or ICA, you do not have to do a medical checkup again.

    1. Can an S pass holder apply to another company?
    2. I use to apply to corporate company and said that they’ll try employment pass on my application

      Hi!
      If you intend to change jobs, you must find employment first so the company can file for a new work pass on your behalf. It is not possible to bring your work pass from your prior employer to your new employer.
      The company, salary, education, and merits of your profile are considered when deciding whether to grant you an Employment Pass or a SPass for the work pass choice.

We will not be able to know in advance as MOM will notify your employer who is applying the EP for you if they require you to submit your education certificate. Hope this clarifies!

      You will need to extract the document in any of the allowed digital formats to upload it to the Singapore Ministry of Manpower website, where your EP is being processed. The HR person in charge, or the agency they use, should be able to advise on the format of those documents. We will be happy to work with your company's HR if they need help; we can not do it for you without their consent first.

    Hi, this is my first time applying, and I've received a job offer, but I'm a bit confused about the process. I want to ensure that I have a clear understanding. As far as I understood, it's the company's responsibility to initiate and complete the EP application (Form 8), while I only need to provide my diplomas and passport to the company. Could you confirm if my understanding is correct?
    Moreover, are there any other documents or details I should be providing? Am I correct in assuming that I am not required to complete the EP application myself?
    Additionally, I'm uncertain about how to demonstrate my work experience, as there isn't a diploma for that. What documents or information should I provide as proof of my work experience?
    Lastly, I came across information suggesting that I should furnish my employer with a written letter of consent, granting them permission to apply for the EP on my behalf. Is my understanding correct in this regard?

    • @theimmigrationpeople
      @theimmigrationpeople  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi there,
      The Singapore company that offered you a job is responsible for your EP application. Therefore, you only need to provide the documents that the form requires. Your employer should be able to guide you on what documents are required, including your passport information and translated diplomas.
      You do not need to grant your company permission to apply for EP on your behalf with a letter of consent. It is already understood that your employer will make the EP application for you.

    Hi I'm a Malaysian, i got an offer from my current company (MNC) to transfer to their office in Singapore. Are they obligated to give the minimum salary of 5000sgd since they will be applying for EP.
    Also, what if they offered a lower base salary? Can they do that

    • @theimmigrationpeople
      @theimmigrationpeople  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there! Most prospective employers will run a Self-Assessment Tool (SAT) on MOM's portal to evaluate and gauge the minimum salary required for the job candidate. It is not necessary that every candidate will qualify for an EP at SGD5,000 as it still varies based on the candidate's age, qualifications, nationality, work experience, etc.

    Dear Mam, how are you? I hope you are fine and everything is going well. I'm from Bangladesh and my country of citizenship is Bangladesh, I am planning to move to Singapore with employment pass and IPA as a construction project engineer/site engineer. Now I'm doing my masters in earthquake engineering which will be completed this year hopefully, I have learned that employer will apply for EP after getting job offer from a specific company, I want to know that before application of EP and IPA approval issue, will I have to do any payment to the company because of EP application issues or job offer processing issue, I'm very much confused about that .
    According to the MOM website, there is a fee that needs to be paid when applying for EP, and it says it's $105 for each application. And then there is another fee of $225 for the issuance of each EP. will I have to pay as a candidate before application for EP and IPA or will the company pay these itself?

    • @theimmigrationpeople
      @theimmigrationpeople  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Saif,
      Usually, the work passes application fee and issuance fee (in your case, an employment pass application) will be paid by the Singapore-based company that offered you the job.

      With your qualifications, it would be better to search for a job in Singapore rather than doing the self-assessment test. After successfully working in Singapore, your employer may then decide to help you apply for your Employment Pass.
