- Wild Thing is the tallest, fastest, and longest roller coaster in both Valleyfair and the entire state of Minnesota. This was the first coaster ever built by Morgan Manufacturing and it's one of three hyper coasters from the company in the Cedar Fair chain. While the ride has a commanding presence on this amusement park's skyline, it has earned the dubious nickname of Mild Thing among coaster enthusiasts.

Say what you want about this ride being really boring in the second half, but the ride LOOKS amazing! The color-scheme and the hills and helix all look great in the park skyline!

I asked after watching a review of Intimidator at Carowinds why Cedar Fair goes heavy on the trim breaks. You said it was a request for the B&M coasters but what about the Morgan coasters.
For Wild Thing, the issue is how short the final brake run is.
What do you think about the mid course brake run on the Morgan hyper coasters at Valleyfair, Dorney Park, and Worlds of Fun?
It's really bad on Wild Thing. Mamba was bad when I last rode it, but I heard it was dialed back.

Morgan's lifts are noisy as all get out! Trim brakes sounds like a Fleetwood Caddy taking out a row of steel trash cans. I'm not sure during ACE events If they run it without trims. It's truly a WILD Thing when they do.
They don't run it trimless anymore.

That's an awful lot of offride footage. You sprung for a flash pass didnt you?!??!
No, we got there at opening and tackled quite a bit. We spent the middle of the day eating and getting footage when lines were at their worst.
