Kennywood took out so many good rides. Pitt fall, Bayern Curve, and Log Jammer all easily make this list for me. Also, probably King Kahuna. I never got to ride it cause I wasn’t tall enough when they took it out.

Kennywood would host "Physics Day" for local high schools back in the mid-late 90s, and my last visit was in 1997 during my senior year. My friend group insisted on riding Pitt Fall since it was brand new to the park. While we did have to go on some rides for our class, Pitt Fall was totally optional. The group of 4 was ready to go, but one noped out very quickly once they were in line. They all grabbed me and said they needed a 4th. The line was about 2 hours long, but it was worth the wait. Even though we didn't get the side that faced the city, the visuals of the park were beautiful.
A great ride lineup. I miss the drop tower and Kangaroo and all those but the coasters are great. They have 2 hypers that are absolutely nothing a like so it comes to your preference, do you like airtime or inversions. Also s couple really old wooden coasters that this park maintains extremely well and a Premier Launch coaster. So much to love indeed.
Surprisingly my favorite is the exterminator. The only bad part is the wait time. As someone who went there multiple times a year since I was a kid, in “kiddyland” I think they called it, I agree with your list. I haven’t been since 2014😢 & I moved to Nashville a few years ago. The first thing I noticed the city was missing was an amusement park. Besides missing my family back home, I really miss kennywood. Great memories there from my childhood to early adulthood. When I have kids, I’m taking them there even if I’m across the country.
& I can’t forget “fright night” for Halloween. Most schools had the “end of the school year” kennywood trip. Then you had to go in the summer once or twice with family & friends. But to cap it off before the park closed for the season… you had to do fright night lol
@@CanobieCoaster I only got to ride it once as a 9 year old, in its last year of operation. I sat on the side facing the revine and remember being impressed with the view. I immagine I was more impressed with the forces as a kid who had only been to 2-3 parks and wasn't tall enough for a lot of the big rides at most parks at the time (Phantom's Revenge and Pitt Fall being exceptions). Being that it was my pre-enthusiast days I generally rank it based on a combination of factors: the drop towers at Canada's Wonderland and Six Flags Great America if they had something like the revine (which I remember quite well). I immagine those drop towers have similar forces since they're the same generation.
Lol loved this park as a kid and personally I did love both Garfield’s nightmare and the log jammer RIP legends they were always fun to enjoy when u just got off a rip-roaring ride and trust me u will have fun at this park if u stay safe, follow the rules, stay close to ur group, and yes if u wish to get on a water ride which the park has plenty bring extra clothes also have lots of fun!

The retro overhaul of both the Old Mill and Noah’s Ark (accompanied by the immaculate maintenance of the woodies and retention of old-school flats), are the ‘love’ bit of my ‘love-hate’ relationship with Palace (For the ‘hate’ segment, see Idlewild which, while improving these past few seasons, definitely drew the short straw against Kennywood and Dutch Wonderland).
Generations of families have ridden that famous classic carousel and continue to do so. All the while being serenaded by that same Wurlitzer band organ! I would bet this carousel has found it’s way to the photo albums of every Pittsburgher and then some. 👍❤️

Phantoms revenge on my all-time favorite every time I go to Kennywood which I’ve been going for six years straight I would ride at two or three times it’s the best right in the park
When I go to Kennywood, I usually ride the Turtle after the Ragin' Rapids because the seats on the turtle are metal, so you just slide all around the carriage (due to being soaked) as it goes around.
On my last trip to Knoebels (last fall), I saw a disassemble Bayern Curve ride; I would assume it will be set up for the 2022 season. I wonder if that's the one that was at Kennywood.
In no order Kangaroo, I enjoy the unique ride and get a lot of enjoyment from the airtime. Black Widow, when it runs, it is very fun and a little freaky Thunderbolt, the terrain adds to this coaster and the laterals are quite good too. Potato Patch, I know this is not a ride, but the fries are very good Steel Curtain, I like the inversions and quirky ride. Phantom's Revenge, the star of Kennywood. I love the speed, violent airtime and setting.
Maybe it's a regional thing, but I've always equated "Himalaya" to the Musik Express; I've never heard that term used to describe the Bayern Curve. (I myself have always used "Swiss Bob" for that ride, and there was one at Casino Pier dubbed "Power Jet", before Superstorm Sandy hit.)
it's my home town Amusement Park Kennywood Park. I got to agree with the Phantoms Revenge as best but I love the Thunderbolt also. . That Curtain rollercoaster is ok it would b like fifth to me.
I rode the phantoms revenge for the first time ever this summer and ive been to kennywood millions of times (i'm from the pittsburgh area). I'm a big baby when it comes to big roller coasters though so i had my eyes closed the whole time and was shaking pretty bad when i got off of it XD Still like the thunderbolt 100x more and honestly thought it was a smoother ride than the phantom despite it being a wooden coaster. Exterminator is also one of my favorites, but he's right, the line is usually awful...I still cant muster up the courage to get on the sky rocket or the steel curtain. :/
Ik kennywood is starting to listen to the fans more but they need to start thinking about getting new flat rides or bring back a retired ride, I wish they could bring back swing around, LOG JAMMER, paratrooper, Bayern kurve, and the most of all, Turnpike!

9:20 I see what you did there. Yes, that should've been # 1, but Phantom's Revenge is solidly in 2nd place. I haven't ridden Steel Curtain, but I don't see any way that it would top Phantom. It may not even top Sky Rocket for me.
Blasphemy! Sky Rocket is the worst coaster in the state! Steel curtain is only rivaled by Phantom, and it's honestly a tie between if you like snappy inversions or speed more.
I can't rank my favorite rides here because Jack Rabbit and Thunderbolt would be at the very back of the list because of how sick I got on them and I am certain I would've enjoyed those rides ten times more if that didn't happen so hopefully I'll have more plasent re-rides in a future visit. I can tell you now that The Phantoms Revenge is my favorite ride there and I actually didn't mind Garfield's Nightmare at all. I thought it was actually pretty cool.
Not enough parks still have an old-school Huss 'Enterprise' these days. If I get to Kennywood this year, I'd love to ride 'Volcano' (assuming they allow single riders, that is).

The guns were just temporarily removed so it can operate with COVID restrictions. It reopened with a newly renovated gun system during the park's Halloween event this year.
The only Six Flags one I've ridden is Joker at Fiesta, but I felt as if Black Widow had a better cycle and was more forceful. It did reopen this past year and I got to ride it in August
I love the steal curtain it is so fun and you can barely feel when you go upside down I remember finally going on this and shaking so hard but I loved it so much the line was short after I went on it so I went on it again the second time and loved it easily my favorite roller coaster of all time NgL the phantoms revenge is overrated 😆😆

I prefer Jack Rabbit to Thunderbolt and I prefer both Jack Rabbit and Thunderbolt to Sky Rocket. I felt Sky Rocket to be overrated. I did like Aero 360 a little bit more than you did. I would take that over Noah's Ark and Exterminator. I only did a few of the flats during my 2 visits. Phantom's is easily my #1. Nothing else in this park is close.

Sky Rocket and "powerful" do not belong in the same breath! The coaster is a joke and eyesore! It's a force less kiddie coaster and that's being generous! The launch is weak, hangtime pathetic, shoddy elements and one of the worst coasters ever! I'm suprised that they actually paid to fix this garbage coaster! For being the first attraction you see, it's a poor representation for the park!

Exterminator almost always seems to have a bad wait unless you ropedrop it.
Pitt Fall was my #1 drop tower because of the view from the revine until December 2019 when Falcon's Fury overtook it. Sad that ride was removed.
I prefer Pitt Fall since the drop had more power too.

Phantom is way wilder than Steel Curtain and Sky Rocket. You can do those 2 if you did Phantom.

I prefer Jack Rabbit to Thunderbolt and I prefer both Jack Rabbit and Thunderbolt to Sky Rocket. I felt Sky Rocket to be overrated. I did like Aero 360 a little bit more than you did. I would take that over Noah's Ark and Exterminator. I only did a few of the flats during my 2 visits. Phantom's is easily my #1. Nothing else in this park is close.
Sky Rocket is a ride whose best parts elevate it above the woodies for me.
Aero360 is my number 3

@@CanobieCoaster I do it’s such a fun flat ride when I went there wasn’t a line for aero360 so I got to stay in the restraint and I think I rode it like 7 times in a row

When I was a young boy You did Not have to pay To enter the park After the Japanese bought the park It went straight to hell Kennywood Park is a Total rip off.😢

Sky Rocket and "powerful" do not belong in the same breath! The coaster is a joke and eyesore! It's a force less kiddie coaster and that's being generous! The launch is weak, hangtime pathetic, shoddy elements and one of the worst coasters ever! I'm suprised that they actually paid to fix this garbage coaster! For being the first attraction you see, it's a poor representation for the park!
