Was there opening day, this ride is so aggressive lol #1 in the park for me and top 3 for sure, and for some reason I love how loud it is when it slams into the lifthill
I really enjoyed Wildcat's Revenge. The ride ops were always trying. On a few laps, we would hit the lift as a train was passing overhead. It was also cool to see some video of GCI Wildcat. It's amazing how much Hersheypark has changed over the past 27 years.
One of my favorite details about Wildcat’s Revenge is that you can actually see the original drop of Wildcat in the under flip supports! It reminds me a lot of the Rolling Thunder hill on El Toro!
i was at the park sunday and got to ride back row at night and now can safely say this is the best ride in the park. one of the most agressive rmcs for sure
Wilscats revenge is honestly insane. Probably 3rd for me in the northeast, which is something I never thought I would be saying. Insanly great coaster.
I rode this for the first time about a month ago during my trip to Hershey Park. One word….. SPECTACULAR! This ride met and exceeded my already high expectations.
I was skeptical going in, I don't generally like the larger RMCs as much. But I was blown away. It's now the only RMC in my top 10. As an RMC critic, this thing slaps! It's got amazing pacing, great airtime (some surprising moments too), and it looks great. That Saturday night ride absolutely guaranteed it a spot as one of my favorite coasters of all. Also solidifies my love for Hershey. Between Skyrush, Wildcat's Revenge, Storm Runner, and Candymonium... They have such a stacked lineup of coasters.
That unbanked double down I expected to be my favorite moment on this coaster and it is. I love being tossed right and forward almost hitting my head its scary in the best way possible
I wonder why they didn’t just go with 2 longer trains for Candymonium, similar to Goliath at SFOG. If they’re going to stack all 3 like that, they might as well just run two.
@@andrewknapp8144 even if they have longer trains thats not gonna make the guests not take their sweet ass time with the station bins or make the ops actually hustle. its 100% on park management not having standards

7:27 this coaster I’ve heard did have assigned seating due to its 1.Newest Ride and 2.Loading Station is Narrow, but I’m thinking that maybe relaxed like candymonium did on that coaster’s opening year back in 2020 but I hope I’m not wrong
Great review! I'm surprised it didn't capute more of that wild, out of controlness for you as much as it did for me at least. I find its aggressiveness, pacing, and sequence of maneuvers create a uniquely intense and disorienting experience, and some of those airtime moments and transitions are just so powerful and unexpected that I find myself unable to brace every time. I know it's not a common take, but those things make it one of if not the most aggressive/intense coaster I've personally ridden. Haven't been out to Gwazi yet, but my friend that rode the same day as me said that Wildcat is even aggressive in a certain way that Gwazi is not. We'll see I guess!
Of the 21 RMCs I’ve ridden, I have wildcats revenge at #7 out of the 21. It is in my overall top 20. It was better than expected when it came to pacing. Drop was on the weaker side for me and the first element (under flip ) was not as good as expected. I felt the pacing help the ride get better as it went along and those transitions at the end I really enjoyed them. I do have SkyRush ahead of it as well.
Wildcats revenge is amazing. Easily the best roller coaster in the park and it is my overall number 2 behind steel vengeance. I have it over rides like Iron Gwazi, El Toro, Voyage, Fury, I305, Skyrush, and Velocicoaster. I thought it was that good. Every element was done so perfectly, pacing was perfect, and the ops were amazing.
@@CanobieCoaster I completely understand anyone who prefers Skyrush. It is absolutely insane. It tries to rip your body in half and is easily one of the most intense roller coasters out there.
We visited Hersheypark last Thursday. We did buy the Fast Track Unlimited, but it was unnecessary for most rides, including Wildcat's Revenge. By a long shot, this was our favorite coaster of the trip. Even the pre-lift is fantastic. Also managed to make it credit 300.
She station in my opinion is very cool looking, the train design looks very nice, the unloading system is very good idea and RMC should keep doing it,and the black truss with red track looks so pretty
I visted Hershey yeaterday on a very busy day and they were only running 2 trains on this coaster. I waited about 45 minutes the second time but am hour the first due to it going down briefly. The operations were pretty good for not using all 3 trains but some people really need to pay more attention when loading and that alone would help. This coaster really is fantastic and I say that as a fan of the original Wildcat, particularly in it's early days with the PTC trains as it ran so much faster. I think it's my number 2 at Hershey behind Stormrunner but it's very close.
SOOO many people had trouble with the locker system. It’s not that hard. You just enter a 4 digit pin and boom, your locker opens. Oh, and there was a lady in line ahead of us who had a hat on and the ride ops told her she had to put it in a locker. She kept arguing with them to just let her ride with it. Finally some guy in line said he would hold it for her. The entitlement of some people is just astounding.
The evolution of these locker systems kind of fascinates me. I got spoiled by all the pay systems in the US switching over to cards, and being surprised by the lockers at PortAventura only taking euro coins, like the dime- or quarter-operated ones they used to have here. I think Six Flags' relocatable rentals are clever--aside from the PIN they have you enter a multi-digit recovery code that they suggest should be your mobile phone number, and when you're moving around from one locker bank to another, having only one number you *really* need to remember is key. Universal's lockers for the Harry Potter rides tried to simplify it by going to fingerprint scans, and while the thought is nice, they just don't work a significant fraction of the time.
I think that Hersheypark really needs a world class coaster that people can unanimously agree is one of the best. Steel Vengeance, Velocicoaster, Fury 325, Etc. Skyrush is probably the most polarizing coaster on earth, and WR is just a great RMC, but it isn’t even the best in the park, or the best RMC that opened this year. I think this park could really use a family launch coaster, followed by a Mack extreme spinner or an intamin Giga to put the nail in the coffin, and solidify it as having one of the, if not the most stacked ride lineups in the world.
it may not be considered elite by any means, but i believe at least they have the best hydraulic launch in Storm Runner. granted that's not hard to pull off considering most of the others are one tricks or clones of each other, though. I think both it and Fahrenheit go extremely underappreciated by the coaster community, the latter feels like a blitz but without the launch. but I agree, a giga would be super amazing for the park

Just went to Hersheypark for the first time last month for the weekend. It is one of the best parks I have been to so far. Before Wildcat's Revenge opened, I had never even considered going to Hersheypark eventhough I always only heard good things about it. I definitely rate Wildcat's Revenge a 10 out of 10. Steel Vengeance is epic but I love the Cat's short and sweet attack. Hopefully my homepark Great Adventure will eventually add one of these to rival this masterpiece. 👍👍👍
I went on this coaster 3 days in August and it was insane! I only had to wait 30 minutes at most in the line as well. (Not including the time it broke down right before I got on that added another 15-20 minutes) Edit: I'm hoping that they eventually either retrack or RMC Lightning Racer as well cause I found it rly rough. Out of the two options I think a retrack would be better cause the park doesn't really have any other twister layout coasters, and they just got an RMC. I think if they retracked Lightning Racer it would be a lot better.

I heard Canadas Wonderland here is getting an RMC with our wildbeast wood coaster. Bet it will be call Wildbeast Revenge. We are rumored to be expecting maybe 3 new coasters by 2026 average of one new coaster per year.
Canobie Coaster would say: In terms of smoothness, Wildcat tracks flawlessly. That being said, I could see some finding a few of the transitions, particularly during the finale, a bit too aggressive. What is the most notable one? What do you think? Canobie Coaster would say: A) Both feel the same. B) Very aggressive is more beyond what someone could have found comfortable. C) A bit too aggressive is more beyond what someone could have found comfortable.
Hershey’s my home park, and I’m happy to have an RMC 15 minutes from home! That said, I think the middle-third of the ride is weird and a little weak, and the double down comes out of nowhere. A little more spacing between elements may have helped, too. Don’t really coming into the brakes with such speed, although without a mid-course I don’t see how it would help interval. I think the layout is just not as good as Wicked Cyclone or Twisted Timbers. This is my 11th RMC and I think I’m ready to see them elevate/evolve their layouts (including a real vertical loop) going forward.
Canobie Coaster would say: Wildcat had a good layout. It was a twisted mess of track with some nice airtime pops, particularly in its early years with the PTC trains. But the ride fell out of favor over the following decade. This was for two reasons. First, the coaster became rough. PTC trains were not the most adept at navigating a twisty layout like that of Wildcat. That's why the later GCIs ran Millennium Flyer trains. Wildcat actually got these trains in 2007, but...
Sadly, there aren't that many RMCs in the Northeast--it was basically Wicked Cyclone and the single-rail Jersey Devil, and as much as I love Wicked Cyclone, any new RMC I-box ride was likely to beat those. For whatever reason, RMC's early expansion happened mostly in the South, and they still have more of them than any other region.
Easily my favorite at Hershey! I always found Skyrush overrated after the great first drop. So, after this trip, it's Wildcat #1 (and I remember the rough previous Wildcat, but my first time riding in the late '90s was great - anytime after was insanely rough and headache-inducing), and then my beloved Storm Runner at #2 (used to be my fave in the park before this visit). Candymonium would be my #3.

If you weren't able to tell by my element-by-element breakdown, this ride's pacing is phenomenal. You cruise from one element to the next, and the sense of speed is enhanced by all those near-misses.
In terms of smoothness, Wildcat tracks flawlessly. That being said, I could see some finding a few of the transitions, particularly during the finale, a bit too aggressive. For example, my wife found Wildcat...
Too much.
I prefer Steel Vengeance to Wildcat.
This ride is the best rmc ive ever ridden, even beating out vengeance for me.
I prefer Vengeance, but this ride is still excellent.
I went on this coaster 3 days in August and it was insane! I only had to wait 30 minutes at most in the line as well. (Not including the time it broke down right before I got on that added another 15-20 minutes)
Edit:
I'm hoping that they eventually either retrack or RMC Lightning Racer as well cause I found it rly rough. Out of the two options I think a retrack would be better cause the park doesn't really have any other twister layout coasters, and they just got an RMC. I think if they retracked Lightning Racer it would be a lot better.
I don't think Lightning Racer will be RMCed, but trackwork would be nice.
yeah having 2 rmc's in one park would be dumb

So what would I rate Wildcat's Revenge?
See the review.
On my visit in late August, I rode both front and back row and I only waited for 20 minutes
Nice!
I heard Canadas Wonderland here is getting an RMC with our wildbeast wood coaster. Bet it will be call Wildbeast Revenge. We are rumored to be expecting maybe 3 new coasters by 2026 average of one new coaster per year.
I hope that happens.
This coaster has received the Golden Ticket Award For Best New Roller Coaster!
Yes it did.
This ride opened on the same day as the theatrical release of Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse!
Cool!
rode this on june 2nd and it was AWSOME
Nice!
Bro really played the wildcats revenge theme song through this whole video. Giving me anxiety just watching this video
Love the music.
Where did you get access to the station music for Wildcat’s Revenge?
It's from the trailer.

Say "very aggressive" and "a bit too aggressive". See the differences between the two things. What is the most notable one? What do you think?
Canobie Coaster would say:
A) Both feel the same.

I had no issue with the layout.
To me it is so weird to see the new wood right next to the old weathered wood of the og wildcat
I'm used to it from other RMCs.
I rode this in August and my first ride i was able to get right up to the lockers without a fast pass. This was on a Tuesday so that may have been why
Nice!
The track was already in poor shape.
A lot of the parks in the northeast are family parks that didn't have big RMC candidates. But I'm glad this one was built.
Awesome review again! Top 10 RMC?
Probably.
This is my number two there.

I'm wearing my wildcat's revenge shirt while watching this lol
Nice!
I have heard rope drop so many times, but don't know what it means.
It's park open when they traditionally drop a rope and allow people to go from a holding area to further into a park.
Never thought this before but you reminded me of Rick sebak's voice on this one. Look up wqed Kennywood memories for example you'll see what I'm saying lol
Interesting.

Yes I know my wife's name.
After riding this and sky rush, I think six flags New England has a challenger for best 1-2 punch
Just did both parks in the last few weeks…. Wildcats Revenge beats Wicked Cyclone and Sky-rush beats Superman…Hershey wins hands down….
(And the restraints on Superman we’re wayyyyy worse on my thighs than Skyrush!!)
I do think Kings Dominion might have a better 1-2 punch with I-305 and Twisted Timbers….but it’s very close.
@@cadencenova9936 to be fair my kings dominion trip did get canceled because of hotel issues in Williamsburg after the pandemic so I can’t say much on that but I would agree that hershy now beats New England
I prefer Hershey's top two. Superman and Skyrush are close for me, but Wildcat had a big edge on Wicked Cyclone.
I can confirm that they'll let you through if you put everything in your zipper pockets.
Good to know, thanks!
When a coaster gets rmc’d, does rmc have to get permission from the original manufacturer? Like in these case, did rmc need permission from gci?
I do not know what happens behind the scenes.
Notice how the track looks like licorice. They should call it Twizzlers Revenge, as it would get revenge against those who eat Red Vines.😄😄
I also heard Kit Kat as a possible name by fans.

Do you prefer this coaster over arieforce one?
No
I hope you visit oakwood theme park also love this vid
I hope to someday.
After riding Arieforce, all other RMC's just seem a bit dull to me, including Wildcat. Damn you, Arieforce!! I haven't ridden Gwazi yet, though.
Iron Gwazi will blow your mind!
I prefer ArieForce too.
I was shocked when I first rode this with my dad we did front row when we entered and the last row when we were leaving and the last row was ridiculous I had no idea what just happened
It's a great ride.
Karenna early rode this coaster on august 9, 2023 2 days before I rode hades 360° on the right side of the train twice just like what I just did with the left side of the train in 2021 and 2022
I much prefer this to Hades 360.
In 2021 me riding hades 360° felt like riding this coaster with the red millennium flyer trains on it
Hades 360 is far rougher.
I just went there this weekend. It's probably 3 for me. Sky rush and storm runner are better for me.
I prefer this to Storm Runner.
Great coasters international’s first roller coaster is Defunct
Yes
Not quite, u had roar at sfdc and also gwazi at bgt. There might be more but those went defunct before wildcat
Don't you think an RMC just like that would fit perfectly behind the Swarm at Thorpe Park...
#ukrmc
We Believe!
I wish!
They say to pull down the restraints before they lock em
Yes, after they check seatbelts.
I can confirm zipper pockets are fine
Good to know.
The ending feels like theming to me it’s aggressive and the wildcat is coming for its prey
While the ending is fun, I don't count it as theming.
7:02 I mean I can’t entirely blame him, no zippered / buttoned pocket exceptions is stupid
I will respect the park's rules.
I Feel Bad For GCI Because They Lost The Bid To RMC On Who Get's To Convert Wildcat , I Would Have Loved To See What GCI Would Have Done With Their Titan Track To Wildcat.
That would have been interesting, but I liked how it turned out.
This is one of RMC’s latest creations
Yes it is.
This roller coaster is as short as intimidator 305 at kings dominion the amusement park but longer
Both are action-packed.
I dont get RMC lift hills why are they so loud youd think theyd do something about by now
I think it's intentional. They can make a quiet lift if they want to.
7:03 I suppose the person got banned for life for that despite protesting over the policy due to throwing an object.
The ops didn't say anything at that point and let him ride. They were in shock.
I got 7 rides on sept 9
Nice!
I think this ride is absolutely insane. It is very aggressive at times, especially the ending. I think the transition into the brake run was a mistake but other than that this ride is almost a masterpiece.
I love the wonky transition at the end.
This ride was called the wildcat and it was rough in 2019
Yes
GCI’s first roller coaster is Defunct
Yes it is.
wait a minute when did you go?
Last month
@@CanobieCoaster august 12th?
No, not that weekend.
@@CanobieCoaster ok
I don’t like how the station looks because it just looks like a Pizza Hut. The ride itself looks fantastic though. I wanted to ride it this year, but some stuff came up so I couldn’t. Definitely next year though.
Yeah it’s a little odd
It does look a bit like Pizza Hut!
Best RMC In The Northeast!
Only cause Twisted Timbers isn't in the northeast. Close, but no cigar.
Yes
