I've been very lucky to get my hands on several of these since release and at MSRP. Of course, I shared with friends, but I am holding onto one bottle. It is just so good. Not just my favorite spot, but one of my fave whiskeys period. Glad you finally got to review it. Now, try to get your hands on the Gold Spot. I scored one last month and it might be better than Blue. I'll have to do a side-by-side to decide for myself. PS - the Jameson Pot Still you mentioned, I've heard on good word that it has only been released in Ireland. However, I'm sure that it will eventually make its way across the sea. Exciting times for Irish Whiskey.

🎼🎼Come guess me this riddle, what beats pipes and fiddle
What's hotter than mustard and milder than cream
What best wets your whistle, what's clearer than crystal
What's sweeter than honey and stronger than steam🎼🎼
Couldn't resist. This tune lives rent free in my head and the mere mention of the Irish brings it forth. ☺☺

Good to see the review, was starting to wonder if it had been forgotten! I'm absolutely happy to have found it (bought two, kept one). That being said, my favorite "spot" is still the Chateau Leoville Barton (Bordeaux finished) Green Spot. Amazed the wax seal stayed stuck to the bottle!

  • @slottedpig2253

Younger CS whisk(e)ys often benefit from a drop of water. Pushes it into balance.

This chanel has almost bankrupt me. I didnt drink whisky 2 years ago. Have you tried four roses single barrel, bullet, buffalo trace. If you like a bit more spice Eagle rare is nice to. Being irish I like irish whiskey, but those have been the whiskeys I keep going back too.

@@brianoailpin6844 Don't waste a lot of money on bottles of whiskey just to try. If you're going to sample multiple varieties buy it by the glass or a shot size if they have it that's what I do. I'm a dual citizen of the US and Ireland do you live there. I've tried them ones you mentioned I don't like them. So far the only Bourbons I really like Pappy and Rip Van Winkle, Weller 12, some Bookers and I'll even put Angels Envy in that category but I don't like any other MGPs

Jameson Single Pot Still was released about a month ago. Most sites are sold out. It reminds me of John’s Lane a bit. A bit higher abv but still definitely tastes like Jameson. It’s 46% so it’s a nice ABV
